Denim dresses are making a comeback for Fall 2025, and I think they’re such a fun piece to style. They’re timeless yet fresh, and they can work for casual days or dressier occasions, depending on how you accessorize. From classic shirt dresses to modern midis, there are lots of great options out right now.
I’ve rounded up some of my favorite denim dresses for the season and styled three outfits to give you ideas for how to wear them this fall.
3 Ways to Style a Denim Dress This Fall

This 3/4-sleeve denim dress puts a modern spin on a classic. The collarless neckline and blouson sleeves give it a softer, more feminine feel, while the removable belt lets you adjust the shape to suit your style. I paired it with knee-high suede boots and a coordinating bag for a streamlined fall look that could go from work to lunch with friends. The light wash denim with caramel accessories adds the perfect seasonal touch.

This sleeveless denim midi dress strikes the perfect balance of structure and ease. The polished dark wash makes it feel instantly elevated, while the notched V-neckline and exposed zip front add modern detail. The smocked waist creates a flattering shape, and the soft denim with its full A-line skirt moves beautifully. I paired it with leopard d’Orsay pumps for a fun touch of pattern and a brown suede bucket bag to complete the look.

This short-sleeve popover dress is made from a soft Tencel blend, giving it a lightweight drape that works year-round. The relaxed shift silhouette, point collar, and chest pockets keep it classic, while I gave it a modern spin with brown suede minimalist runners. The sporty shoes balance the structured details and the suede texture adds a subtle nod to fall, making it an easy outfit for casual days.

Jo-Lynne, It has really just hit me about all of the pre-work that you had to do so that we would still have fashion posts from you while you are in Europe for two weeks. THANK YOU SO MUCH for it! Your plate is normally pretty full, but I now realize that it was probably overloaded leading up to your departure. Since I have a denim dress on order from Amazon, I definitely appreciate this post.
I second that! I follow another blogger that complains and feels sorry for herself all the time. I’m about ready to stop following her. She recycles lots of content (how many times do we have to be taught how to clean out our closets?) and has really cut down on her posts. So I really appreciate Jo-Lynne and her cheerfulness and hard work! She’s my go-to now! I LOVE seeing her travel pictures and adventures as well! Love how she takes us along with her and ties in practical travel clothes as well as other things like where to stay, eat, see, etc.
Keep up the great work, Jo-Lynne! You’re our fashion hero!
So glad you’re enjoying it!
Yeah, it was a bit crazy getting things prepped, but thankfully I’ve got a great team who helps with the linking and graphics and things like that so I can focus on writing and product selection. I’m so happy you’re enjoying them!
I fully agree with the comments above. And I’m glad you have a team to help you with the parts that may seem more tedious so that you can focus on the parts you love! Hope you and Paul are enjoying the rest of your trip!
Your trip sounds wonderful. What a great experience. Thank you for the post while you are gone but I do hope you are not stressing to get them out. It’s a lot of work. Enjoy your day.
Thanks, Kathy! They were mostly prepped before I left, so it hasn’t been a ton of work to do here in the mornings. 🙂
Thank you for keeping us in mind while you were away for 2 weeks. I loved receiving your posts and real-time updates and photos of your different locations. I did purchase the White House Black Market denim dress and it works nicely! Lightweight fabric with a great neckline and sleeves. I found it ran small, especially around the waist, so I had to size up 2 sizes! I wish there was a way for you to get a commission when purchasing at a store. But I do order on-line a lot to make it up to you! HAHA!!!
No worries! You’ve got to do what works for you. Glad you found something.
