Fashion Jewelry Refresh for Fall 2024

I had a reader request for a post on everyday jewelry, which got me to thinking about my own jewelry collection. I always wear jewelry, but I don’t change it up a whole lot. I tend to wear the same few pieces over and over, usually a mix of current fashion jewelry and the designer classics that I’ve collected over the years.

It’s a topic often overlooked when we discuss fashion trends, but jewelry styles evolve right along with the pant silhouettes and clothing trends. Refreshing your jewelry collection is a simple and affordable way to keep your wardrobe feeling fresh and relevant, so I’ve rounded up a bunch of current styles from some of my favorite retailers.

Fall 2024 Jewelry Trends

Everything is a little bigger and bolder this season. Cuff bracelets are having a moment, and charms are big right now, both in bracelets and necklaces. All metals are out there, but shiny silver pieces are dominating the fashion scene.

I’m seeing a lot of button earrings and chunky hoops, especially architectural designs and molten looks. Pearls are still going strong, but not your traditional string of pearls, more modern designs like this ring and this bracelet. I’m also noticing some Western inspired styles emerging, so it’s a good time to lean into that, if it’s your thing.

I often look to Anthropologie and J.Crew for current jewelry trends, and J.Crew has a Style Event going on right now, with 40% off site-wide (some exclusions apply). I also rounded up styles from LOFT, Nordstrom, and Evereve.

  1. What happened to the Victoria Emerson jewelry line? For a bit I would see it everywhere and now nothing. Is it not a current trend? Is the company still doing business?

    1. Ummm, good question! Maybe they don’t do affiliate programs anymore? The pieces I have I love and wear a lot, especially the cuff-like bracelets!

  2. I have the David Yurman chain bracelet like I see you wear sometimes. I think the links may be a little smaller but want another silver bracelet to wear with it. Do you have any recommendations?
    Thanks!

  3. I think Victoria Emerson went the way of Kendra Scott and others from the last 10 years. I cringe when I see women wearing these same stretch bracelets and rectangle shaped bright colored earrings. Time to change it up. Thanks for reminding women about this Jolene.

  4. Very nice. I don’t wear costume/fashion jewelry so each piece is more of an investment for me and my taste tends to run more classic. But I love that Maude signet ring from Evereve. I might look for something similar in a fine jewelry version.

  5. Loved the post today. I got a jump on Christmas for my sister and ordered her a bracelet, earrings & a top all from the Loft sale.

I also use a cleansing balm for my skin, but it’s from IT Cosmetics…at my age, 71, I figure there’s turning back the hands of time, so I always find it on sale for better than the Elemis. So I stick with that.

Have a great day – slow start & all!!!

  6. What a great post! I agree with your statement about not always thinking to update my jewelry. I have a sterling silver wide bamboo bangle bracelet that was my mom’s, that I need to start wearing more often. The jewelry that Larry has made is also special to me, so I may wear it even if it’s not on trend. I hope that Savannah is feeling better today. If only our four legged children could tell us what’s wrong.

  7. Most of my jewelry is Kendra Scott, they’ve really expanded their offerings over the last few years. l love jewelry with real stones. My mom makes her own jewelry with beads and stones. I wish I was that creative!
