Valentine’s Day is one of those holidays I’m so-so about. It’s fun for the kids, and it’s a good excuse to go out to dinner with my honey, but that’s about it. We don’t usually do much for it.
But this year, Valentine’s Day falls on a Monday. Or, you know. Tuesday. (I stand corrected.)
ANY-WHO. We’re going to take our date night the weekend before, so I thought maybe we would make Monday night a special family night Valentine’s celebration with the kids.
Of course, you know me. I’m not much on creative party planning — even for a small family gathering. That’s why I’m so excited about Mandi Ehman’s latest eBook :: Finding Cupid.
Finding Cupid is chock full of easy crafts, DIY projects, simple recipes, gourmet dishes, printables and more!!
It is a compilation of contributions by 18 bloggers across the blogosphere (including yours truly!)
I contributed two recipes (WHAT!? You didn’t think I contributed craft ideas, did you? Hahaha.) and the cheesecake recipe is my husband’s very favorite dessert ever. I make it for him every Valentine’s Day. Or, um. I used to. What happened to that!?? I will definitely make that part of our family Valentine’s Day celebration!

I just downloaded my copy and can’t wait to read through it and make plans for our family Valentine’s Day Party!
Hey Jo-Lynne ~ Just wanted to let you know that this year, Valentine’s Day is on a Tuesday, not a Monday. Just thought you’d want to know!
It’s not really such a big thing here for kids – we don’t do the sweets/candy to everyone in their class. Before marriage we used to go out for dinner – now we stay in and cook something special.
This looks fun. We don’t do anything for Valentine’s day usually, though sometimes I give the boys presents. But this year my little guy is in school so suddenly it is a much bigger deal. I’m looking forward to reading this!
