4 Summer Outfits from the Gap Factory Summer Cyber Event

Friends! The Gap Factory Summer Cyber Event starts NOW, and everything is up to 60% off (including up to 60% off clearance) plus free shipping through Thursday, 6/22 (with code GFSHIP)!

As you know, Gap Factory is my go-to retailer for current fashions at wallet-friendly price points, and it’s even better when they go 60% off! I styled a few of their new arrivals to show you, plus I rounded up all of my favorites at the end of this post.

Icon Denim Jacket (S) // Ribbed Tank Midi Dress (S) // Recycled Fanny Pack //

Light wash denim is all the rage right now, including denim jackets, and this Icon Denim Jacket is a great way to update your summer wardrobe because you can wear it so many ways.

This bright pink midi dress looks great with or without the denim jacket. It’s a nice, thick ribbed knit that has way of highlighting your curves without clinging to them.

I wore it with a pair of clean, white sneakers, but you could also lighten it up with slides or strappy sandals. It comes in regular, petite, and tall sizes; and there are a bunch of colors to choose from. I’m wearing the Sizzling Fuchsia Pink Neon in a regular size small.

I’ve recently jumped onto the belt bag trend. It’s a great way to be hands-free and update your look with minimal effort. This small fanny pack has the look of the designer brands at a great price.

For a more casual everyday look, I styled this ribbed high neck tank in the Dry Rose color with two different pairs of denim shorts.

Ribbed High Neck Tank (S) // Mid Rise Distressed Denim Shorts (29) // Gap Logo Baseball Cap

This tank is made out of the same thick, stretchy, ribbed knit as the midi dress. I really like the fabric; I feel like it’s more forgiving than most stretchy tops like this, and the length is perfect for wearing tucked or untucked.

I did a front tuck for this first look, and I also added a light grey ball cap. This tank comes in tons of colors, and it runs true to size; I’m in the small.

These light wash cuffed denim shorts have a versatile 5″ length with an easy fit through the hips and thighs and subtle distressing for your most casual days. These are definitely coming with me on all of my summer vacations.

I also picked up a second pair of distressed denim shorts; this pair has a raw hem and a slightly darker wash.

I really love this 5″ length. As you can see, it’s right about finger-tip length on me, which tends to be the easiest length to wear for most women. And with the raw hem, they can be cut or cuffed if you want them shorter.

This time, I left my tank untucked so you can see the length. I didn’t measure it, but I’m going to say it’s 23″ or 24″ long.

I also ordered this tank in the Chlorine Blue, and this one I paired with gauze pull-on shorts for a breezy summer look.

They have a 4″ inseam with front slant pockets and an elasticized waist with drawcord ties. The gauze weave with crinkled texture keeps the look light and airy.

These shorts run true to size, and they come in five color choices, including some nice neutrals, but I chose the Delta Blue to create an on-trend monochromatic look with the Chlorine Blue tank.

  1. I like the dress but not with sneakers. Wearing sneakers has never been my thing but if it was and I was 20 years younger I would wear sneakers with short dresses. Cute shorts and tops.

  2. I love all of the outfits, especially the dress. I just ordered it, and I’m normally not an impulse buyer. I think I will get a lot of use from it. I also ordered a tank top.

  3. You look awesome in all of these! You really look great in shorts! These are all nice and at a good price! Thanks!

  4. You look amazing Jolynne! To the person looking for lightweight fast drying pants try the Brooklyn ankle pants from athleta or the Venice joggers. I owe both in multiple colors and wear them often. I also recommend the presidio dress for fast drying and versatile wear on vacation.

  5. How do you think these tanks compare to the Michael Stars ones you’ve shown in the past, are these more forgiving? Also, do you find the arm holes different on the gap factory? Thanks!

    1. The material on these isn’t as soft but I’d say the way they fit is about the same. The armholes might be longer in gap factory but I’m not at home to compare.

  6. Wow this is a great sale, thanks for letting us know! The prices are ridiculously good, and I’m pleasantly surprised to see summer items included.

    1. Also did you see the ribbed twill joggers in surplus green? They might be a good option for anyone looking for a more budget friendly alternative to the Paige Maisleys.

  7. You look great in everything. And your legs…..but I do believe the pink dress is a little too long to wear with sneakers. I know I’m not supposed to use the word “grumpy”, however a heel would balance it out. Hope you had a wonderful Saturday!

  8. I love the pink ribbed mini dress and love how you styled it! You have enough height to pull off the midi dress with the sneakers and the lighter wash denim jacket also elevates it. Being 5’2″ and in the over 60-70 club I think the midi might not work for me. I also love the belt bag with it. I just splurged on the Veja Rio Branco sneakers in white and am looking for another casual dress to wear with them, I have a gray t-shirt dress that will work but I have worn it a ton. Any suggestions? Of course I will be wearing them with my Kut pork chop shorts.
Thanks for all your style suggestions!

    1. These? Love them! I’ve had my eye on them for a while. They remind me of the rag & bone pair from the #NSale last year. They’re very casual, so I’d pair them with shorts and t-shirt dresses, or jeans this fall. Gap Factory has some cute dresses in shorter styles. These all come in petite lengths.

      1. That’s right, I got the white/natural, usually wear 7-7 1/2 and had to size up to the 8/39; they are very lightweight, haven’t worn them outside yet but I think they are perfect for summer. They seem to have a more feminine look to them than some.

  9. In the Q/A portion of your post a follower was asking about nylon quick dry type pants or joggers. Old Navy has joggers called StretchTech that could work as well. I am 5’2″ and buy them in petite so they hit just above my ankle. They might be a more affordable option than the Vuori ones.
