Holiday Gift Ideas for College Students

#1. Longchamp Large Le Pliage Tote // It doesn’t get any better than this versatile tote bag. It’s easy to clean, but still looks stylish with the touches of leather. I gifted one to C for her high school graduation, and she’s already gotten a lot of use out of it in college.

#2. Gravity Weighted Blanket // With the stress levels our kids are under these days, who doesn’t need a big hug? This best selling blanket is perfect to calm and relax you when it’s time to recharge.

#3. Passport Cover + Luggage Tag Set // For the kid who likes to travel, this stylish set looks great and keeps their essentials protected.

#4. JBL Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker // My son takes his everywhere, and it’s even waterproof so he can use it in the shower. Yes, that’s a thing. It has great sound, excellent battery life, and a protective travel case so they can have their music on the go.

#5. Apple AirPods with Wireless Charging Case // The best selling AirPods, now with a wireless charging case. Everyone in our house has a pair of these, and they get used daily. They’re even compatible with Android phones, my older daughter has one and is able to use them together.

#6. Bose Wireless Bluetooth Noise-Cancelling Headphones with Alexa // We all know how loud college dorms are, so these noise cancelling headphones are a necessity when it’s time to focus and study. They’re also great for travel.

#7. Slip Pure Silk 6-Pack Skinny Hair Ties // I love these hair ties that don’t only look good, but they also don’t damage the hair. I actually got a set of these for myself during the #NSale, and I ended up splitting them with my daughters, so I think I’m going to get them each a set for Christmas. See also this $25 silk hair tie stargazer holiday bauble.

#8. Ello 4pk Stainless Straws with Silicone Tips with Cleaning Brush // These reusable stainless steel straws work great with hot and cold drinks and keeps the turtles safe, and I love the silicone tips. We have a set that is all stainless, and they kind of awkward to drink out of, so I’m definitely picking up a couple sets of these for stocking stuffers.

#9. Microsoft Arc Mouse // This mouse conforms perfectly to your hand, will snap flat for storage, has precise tracking, and looks cool. Paul lent me his when I was traveling last month because I hate using the trackpad on my Macbook Air. It worked great!

#10. Keurig K-Mini Coffee Maker, 6 to 12 oz. Brew Sizes // The convenience of a Keurig, in the perfect size for a college dorm or small apartment with limited counter space.

#11. Zojirushi Stainless Mug // I’ve heard great things about this brand. This keeps hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold, and looks super cute at the same time. It’s made of BPA-free plastic and stainless steel, and the slim design fits in most cupholders. It also comes in a pretty burgundy at a lower price.

#12. Mini Projector // They can turn their dorm/living room into a mini movie theater with this portable home theater projector. It’s compatible with TV sticks, laptops, tablets, Blue-ray DVD players, PS4/XBOX/WII, and media players. You can also connect it to your iPad, iPhone, or Android smartphones.

#13. Master Lock Portable Safe // Every college kid should be locking up their valuables, and this 9.41 x 5.1 x 2.2 inch safe is perfect for protecting their smartphones, passports, cash, and credit cards. It’s also nice for travel.

#14. Belkin Gold Charge Kit for iPhone // Make it easy for them to tell their charging supplies apart from their roommates with this brushed gold all-in-one charging collection for their iPhone with a lightning cable, home charger, car charger, and a mobile battery pack.

#15. Selfie Ring Light // This mini ring light clips onto a smartphone and immediately improves the quality and appearance of their selfies. Makes a great stocking stuffer.

#16. Our Place Always Pan // This convenient do-it-all pan is perfect for apartment living. It replaces 8 traditional pieces of cookware, and it looks cool too. These sold out last year, so if you want to get one for someone on your list, don’t wait around for long. Best of all, this pan is on sale for a limited time. It’s currently $115, down from $145.

#17. Selfie Ring Light with Tripod Stand and Phone Holder // If you want to take it up a notch, this selfie ring light with tripod stand and smartphone holder is perfect for the kids that are obsessed with making YouTube or TikTok videos. It’s also great for people who do a lot of meetings via Zoom and want good quality lighting.

#18. NFL Jersey // This is for the NFL fans out there. (They also have women’s versions.) I’ve lost count of how many of these my son has been gifted over the years, and he’s always thrilled. He wears one whenever the Eagles are playing, often to meet up with friends at a local bar & grille.

#19. 40-Piece All Purpose Tool Kit // They won’t know they need this until they actually do. This portable tool kit is a great gift for any kid headed off to college or moving into an apartment.

#20. Athleta Uptempo Hoodie Sweatshirt // This versatile sweatshirt is not only comfy, but also refined enough to look great with leggings or jeans when she’s running out the door to class.

#21. Lululemon Align Leggings // These are the leggings all the teens and college girls want. Last year, we splurged and got a pair for R, and she has worn them a ton and they still look like new. There are 3 lengths and tons of color ways to choose from.

#22. LapGear Home Office Lap Desk // Let’s be real, most college kids use their desk for everything but studying. This lap desk makes it easy for them to get their work done where they want to do it — in their beds.

#23. L.L. Bean Adventure Duffle // This makes the perfect weekender bag. It comes in several colors and patterns, and it’s made with rugged fabrics, reliable zippers and a reinforced base. D received a similar L.L. Bean duffle for his high school graduation, and it has been used a ton — from weeks at summer camp to weekend trips with his friends — and it has held up great.

#24. Cash or Gift Cards // Thoughtful gifts are nice, but at the end of the day, most college students love to receive cash or gift cards to use how they want. It may seem impersonal, but if you’re at a loss for anything else to do, know that cash and gift cards are always appreciated. For gift cards, Amazon is always popular, as is Starbucks, Target, and Uber.
