Last Minute Gift Ideas for Him & Her

My daughter and I were hanging out in the kitchen this morning before she had to get on the schoolbus. I was unloading the dishwasher, and she was packing her lunchbox and getting her backpack ready to go, and out of the blue she exclaimed: “Mom! It’s December 20th. HOW did it get to be December 20th???”

I think we’re all probably feeling a bit like that, amiright?

The good news is, there are some retailers still promising free delivery by Christmas Eve, so if you’re a procrastinator like I am, there’s still time to order presents and get them in time for Christmas! If you’re in that boat, here are some ideas for you. I hope this is helpful!

Last Minute Gifts for Women

This sensor mirror with brightness control is on my personal wish list. I’ve heard all good things, and it makes a nice gift!

You can’t go wrong with a Barefoot Dreams CozyChic ribbed throw blanket. Gift this to a kid in college, your grandmother who is always cold, your teen daughter (they love all the cozy things) or your bestie. Want a less expensive option? Try this Kennebunk Bliss Plush Throw.

These classic Tory Burch ballet flats would make a great gift for your fashionable sister or daughter (or daughter-in-law.)

I loooove my Slip silk pillowcase. My daughter has one too. It’s supposed to be better for your hair and skin, but it also just feels luxurious. It makes a nice gift for the “woman who has everything” — and even if she already has one, it’s nice to have two so you can throw one in the wash and still have a clean one.

UGG slippers… need I say more??? And here’s another style that’s popular.

The iconic skincare cream in a little gifting travel size gift set is a nice gift for any woman who is into beauty and skincare.

My teenage daughter was eyeing up these Kendra Scott necklaces when we were at the mall last week.

This D Yurman bracelet is perfect for layering if you know a collector, or it stands alone beautifully. Not a bracelet girl? Consider this mixed metal ring.

An Yves Saint Laurent lipstick gift set for your beauty obsessed girlfriend.

A Fitbit smartwatch for the active women in your life — only the pink will arrive for Christmas, but it’s a great price. If you want black or silver, Nordstrom has them for Christmas Eve delivery. And here’s a smaller, more feminine option.

They’re spendy, but The Laundry Room makes the softest sweatshirts you will ever put on your person. I love the Airplane Mode sentiment.

These cozy socks make great stocking stuffers.

Last Minute Gifts for Men

Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones

These Bose noise canceling headphones are EVERYTHING when you’re on a plane or in any other situation with a lot of background noise. My husband has a pair of these, and I always borrow them when I’m going to fly. If you know someone who travels a lot, you can’t go wrong with this gift!

UGG slippers for men too!

My husband loves these quarter zip pullovers. He wears one over a dress shirt almost every day in the fall and winter. He also likes these v-necks.

This micro bluetooth speaker is small in size but big on sound.

This Herschel Supply Co. duffel is a durable and practical gift for the guy who takes a lot of short trips, also great for guys in college.

Every guy needs a pair of cozy knit tech gloves.

The Fitbit watch makes a great gift for guys too.

Need gift ideas for kids? Most of the ideas on this gift guide for kids are available for free delivery by Christmas Eve.

I hope this roundup is helpful!

  1. Merry Christmas, JoLynne!  I wanted to be sure to say this before things get too busy (as if they haven’t already).  I enjoy your blog so much and you just keep getting better and better.  When you post the weekly recap, I’m amazed every time with how much you provide each week.  I’ll be looking forward to spending 2019 with you!

  2. Thank you AGAIN! I just placed a last minute order for my son and husband. They are by far the most difficult to buy for. Merry Christmas Jo-Lynne – enjoy your family, peace and the beauty that surrounds us.

  3. Thanks for all you do for all your followers! I love that you are doing steak for Christmas! Our family always does something different as well, although this year we are doing a smoked turkey (my husband got a smoker last year for Father’s Day). Have a great Christmas and New Years with your family!

    1. I agree…steak is a great idea! It was just the five of us this year for Thanksgiving and we decided to have steak instead of the standard turkey meal. It was terrific and really just the best Thanksgiving!

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas! Thank you for always being there with the best fashion info!

  4. Merry Christmas, and thanks for all of the great and stylish information you provide for us! I have three of those Kendra Scott necklaces—red, turquoise, and plain silver settings—and wear them all of the time. They just add a little something to an outfit. My daughter-in-law introduced me to Kendra jewelry and created a monster! I bought a couple of pieces for my other son’s girlfriend for Christmas, and I hope she loves them as much as I love my Kendra!

  5. I didn’t think I had a wish list either but after looking at your list, I could put most of your items to good use. I ❤️ Barefoot dreams and David Yurman jewelry. Maybe I need to forward this post to a couple of my near and dears.

  6. Super cute blog. I have one to share. My hubs gave me a sketch created by Dreamlines. From a few wedding photos and they created a sketch of my wedding dress and his suit. The detail was stunning.
