I’ve been waiting for the first snow so I could style my Sorel boots. My husband looked at me like I was nuts when I suggested a photo shoot in the midst of the snowstorm on Saturday, but when I saw him out there snow blowing the sidewalk, I quickly ran upstairs and started getting dressed. I figured if he was bundled up and outside anyway, he would humor me if I came out with the camera. And he did!
I knew I wanted to wear white jeans and my navy turtleneck, and I wore my Dalton pendant to break up the navy sweater. I accessorized with gold to coordinate with my bag and the gold hardware on the boots. Of course, I wasn’t actually going anywhere, but I grabbed a handbag anyway to complete the look. The pink bag coordinates perfectly with the pink laces in my boots.
Of course, Savannah had to get in on the action.
Crazy dog — she doesn’t really like the snow, but she has to test it out anyway.
I threw on my charcoal grey peacoat and pink running hat, but this is all for the photo opp. I went right back inside as soon as we were done taking pictures. I didn’t even help shovel. I know, I’m awful, but I always say that’s why I had kids. My 16-year-old son was actually a big help, going along behind my husband and shoveling up the remnants from the snowblower.
I need a cute beanie. The running hat doesn’t quite cut it. I actually ordered one yesterday from Handcrafted by Cheryl. I can’t wait for it to come in! I’ve been wanting one for a while, and I think it will be a cute accessory to jazz up some of my capsule outfits. Did I say I wasn’t going to buy accessories during the 30 days? Oooops! Oh, well.

Live how the pink bag matches the pink laces! HA! Wow, lots of snow! Glad it missed us here in southeastern Michigan!
Yes, we got at least 2 feet! The snow drifts and mounds created by the plows are crazy. So glad we live in a relatively flat neighborhood.
I really like everything about this outfit. It is stylish, but looks effortless!
Thanks, Heather!
Love the outfit and esp boots but no snow here in Savannah so I’ll pass on that. I do love the Converse shoes I ordered from Nordstom’s. Have not worn yet. I pulled up reviews to make sure I had the right size and most said to size down so will keep the 8. I had to laugh at one review though that said she didn’t like the short strings and took them out and replaced with long laces! That is what made the shoes – the short laces that you could slip on. ) But to each his own. Stay warm.
#1 your dog is ADORABLE and #2 look at you with the pink laces and pink bag – i love it 🙂
Thanks for the mention and link in your post! You rock! Love the snow day outfit, too. Have a great day!
Yea, you’re crazy. But the pics look great in the snow. Love the pink accessories.
Great outfit!…Love pink and navy together, especially in the spring.
Savannah is adorable!!!! Glad the snow skipped Cleveland. Enjoy!
I love pink and navy as well! Its such a fun combination!
You look gorgeous in the snow!
Here in Texas we’ve hardly even had to wear a sweater this year. I’ll live vicariously through you.
Pictures in the snow – best idea. Love those boots and the outfit.
I can’t even imagine this much snow! We had a dusting where I live in Ga. Your snow pictures are beautiful and your outfit is so cute-love your boots. Your fur baby is pretty darn cute, too!
Your outfit is adorable, but my OCD prohibits me from wearing white pants. I about had a heart attack when I saw the picture of Savannah jumping on your leg!
Your snow was crazy, and this is coming from a Wisconsinite! Your snow total from this blizzard was more than we’ve gotten all season! I’ll be praying that the kiddos get back to school tomorrow. I work from home too, and it’s really hard when the routine is disrupted.
I love this outfit SO much. It’s 100% my style – especially that bag! We only got a few inches of snow but I pulled my Sorels out too.
They’re awesome boots!
Love the Boots! You are so cute!
I just cannot get behind white jeans especially in the winter..I don’t know what it is. I’m pretty sure I am afraid of white all around..I hate getting any type of spots on my clothing and white is the worst.
But you look great!
Amazingly, they don’t get that dirty. 🙂
I love the pink laces on those boots. SO fun!
We follow snowzilla on the news in the Netherlands. Photo’s are amazing.
Enjoy the time with your kids.
Love your dog. (and you outfit!)
Thanks, Dini! 🙂
Dl1961 white jeans are on my wish wish list, do they ever go on sale!
Yes, they do! I’m waiting b/c I really want the Emma in white. 🙂 I will definitely post when I see them on sale. I’m waiting on a Bloomies Friends & Family sale to pop up!
I like the boot laces matching the purse. Great fashion statement!
Thanks! I love wearing these boots with pink.
I love these photos! The navy sweater with the white jeans and then the pink laces on your boots are so pretty!
Thanks, Julie!
One question, are they as functional as they are cute? My feet were freezing this weekend when I was shoveling!
They are. They are made for snow. 🙂
That is good! I figured, but had to ask anyway!
Those snow boots are definitely equipped for the weather, but they are also fun to style. Love the outfit you created around them!
Your snow inspired outfit looks great! The bright pink really stands out in the snow. I have to ask, what kind of dog is Savannah? I live the way she posed so pretty!
I hope y’all are thawing out some now! Have a blessed day!
She was a rescue, so we really don’t know what she is. Some combination of Matlese, Shih Tzu, and Bijon, I guess. 🙂 She’s a doll.
Oh my, that is just too funny! Isn’t it great how our hubby’s take our grand ideas seriously and then push us to get it done. Ha! Those boots though, worth the time. I have had my eye on some for years. My feet are huge though, ugh. I just don’t think they look good on me. You are rockin’ them though!!
I actually feel like these make my feet look SMALLER than they are !! I love that about them. 🙂
I love, love, love my Sorel boots. These look super cute on you!
You look so cute, and like you are happy to be in the snow. 🙂 I like how the pink bag and laces match. And the dog is the best part of the pictures. Such a cute little accessory!
I love these pictures!! You look adorable!
I love the boots and your cable knit sweater!
xo,
Abby of Life in the Fash Lane
You make the snow look goooood lady! Love the pops of pink!
Love your boots! Did those laces come with or did you order them separately? I have the same boots minus the fun laces ????
They came with. 🙂
Oh my word! You must have been FREEZING!!!!!!
Ha. I was only out there for 2 minutes. 🙂
