Spring Boyfriend Jeans Outfit with Clogs

Happy Tuesday, friends! We are halfway through 23 Days of Spring Fashion, and today I’m styling a boyfriend jeans outfit with clogs.

The best thing about fashion right now is that almost anything goes. Boyfriend jeans may not be as fashion-forward as some other styles at the moment, but they never seem to completely disappear from the fashion scene.

These 7 For All Mankind high waist boyfriend jeans came in my last Trunk Club box, and I was drawn to the faded light wash. It looks very summery to me, and I don’t have anything quite like these in my closet at the moment.

The higher rise helps them look more current than the lower rise styles, although I consider 10″ mid-rise, not high-rise. I guess it depends on your body type. The fabric is 82% cotton, 17% rayon, 1% elastane, so they’re stretchy and comfortable.

These jeans seem to run true to size, although you could probably size down if in between; I’m in my usual 28. You can find these boyfriend jeans in more sizes at Zappo’s and Evereve. LOFT also has a similar for less option, if you’re interested.

I paired these light wash boyfriend jeans with my Lou & Grey star sweater. I think the colors complement each other so nicely.

This lightweight spring sweater has raglan sleeves, an elliptical hem, and a flattering rounded neckline; and I love the subtle texture in the knit. While it’s thin, I don’t feel the need to wear a camisole underneath.

It’s 23″ long, so on the shorter side, but not really cropped. I left it untucked with these jeans, and I think it looks fine, but you could front-tuck it for a more youthful vibe.

This sweater runs true to size, and it’s marked down to $79 with an additional 50% off with code LOVEIT. That is the lowest price I’ve seen it, so if you’ve had your eye on this one, now is the time to grab one while sizes are still well-stocked!

When it warms up a bit, I might wear a wedge sandal with this outfit, but for now, I decided to style this boyfriend jeans outfit with clogs.

I think these tan woven clogs from Everlane are the perfect neutral for this light color palette, and the woven leather makes them seem more like spring than fall or winter. They’re also a great price! I recommend sizing down half, if ordering.

If they don’t have your size, the Madewell Ayanna clogs are a good option, and they’re 20% off with code HOWFUN. And these Swedish Hasbeens are a classic, if you think you’d wear them enough to get your money’s worth. I also love this pair of Loeffler Randalls, but again, you’d have to wear them a lot to get a decent cost per wear.

I pushed up my sleeves and added a Victoria Emerson wrap bracelet. I also wore gold Kendra Scott hoops and a gold double chain necklace to fill the scoop neckline.

An ivory leather hobo and oversized square sunnies complete the casual look.

  1. Oh, no, not two amazing outfits in a row! I resisted buying the sweatshirt …until now. At that price, how can I not buy it, right???

  2. Such a nice spring look! Our weather has also turned cold! -10 this morning with the windchill … a far cry from last Friday when it was 56..🤷‍♀️Apparently it’s to warm up starting tomorrow and more so first of the week

  3. Oh how I really like this outfit and how you look in it! I would love to add a pair of clogs to my closet, but I’m just not sure my bad ankle could tolerate them. Maybe I can find an economical pair that isn’t too high that wouldn’t make the ankle pain worse. Since I love wearing mules, I see clogs as another great alternative. We are one of the not so lucky states preparing for the potential of severe weather, including tornadoes, through Thurs. I’d rather have winter temps! I hope you have an awesome day!

  4. Love these boyfriend jeans on you! The perfect summer wash, and slouchy vibe, but not TOO baggy! I can see you wearing those at the Jersey shore!! I have several clog-like sandals from Dansko and Alegria that I adore and still wear because they are so comfortable. They look great with the jeans.

  5. I have been eyeing this sweater since I first saw it, but it was out of my price range. No reason not to order it now. I am thinking it would also look nice with denim shorts (we will wear shorts when the weather finally warms up.)

  6. Love the boyfriend jeans and clogs! I would wear with a black t and a casual cut blazer or military style jacket. Definitely clogs this spring!

  7. I picked up a pair of Swedish Hasbeens for less than half price at least a year ago and still haven’t worn them (limited-time price match at Nordstrom,) but now I’m feeling inspired! And I have a pair of R&B Dre’s in a similar light wash, so I’m 2/3 of my way to this cute outfit 🙂

  8. It’s supposed to be 70 here today, but we have a storm rolling in that could drop 4” of snow overnight. The high tomorrow is supposed to be 37. I feel your pain & am sooo ready for this winter to be over. Gracious.

I’m enjoying the spring fashions. Thanks.

  9. Well, Jo-Lynne, you did it again! Love this casual but intentional style. Just ordered a pair of Mules (what is the difference between mules, clogs and slides????) Saw my daughter wearing some recently and gave her a hard time because she gave me a hard time for wearing them nonstop in the 90’s. Trying to justify the sweater, it completes the look so nicely! Here in So-Cal We are having a typical wintry day with a high of 60 but next week will be in the high 70s. Always enjoy your detailed and succinct styling and reviews.

    1. Mules are open back, slip-on shoes with a closed toe. Slides are open back, slip-on shoes with an open toe.

Clogs usually have a wood sole, and they can be slides or mules. 🙂

  10. I’m kinda diggin’ all the clogs I’m seeing. I remember having a pair in middle school. My mom didn’t like them, so I had to buy them myself. LOL

  11. Super cute spring outfit. But the jeans are pricey. Can’t believe clogs are coming back in style, haven’t seen them anywhere?

  12. I love how the colour of the clogs and the jeans repeat some of the colours in the sweater. Clogs might be what I have been looking for as I am stymied with what to wear on my feet this time of year. Too cold for sandals and too winterish for booties. Thanks, Jo-Lynne!

  13. I think this is such a cute, fresh outfit! The cut of these jeans is nice. Slightly relaxed without being baggy or sloppy. The clogs pull it all together.

  14. Love this look! Really cool girl vibe going. In California most of our weather is mild so I truly only wear socks for a few months of the year. Lol! I used to have a really cute red pair of clogs and I actually wore them out! You wouldn’t think red would go with everything but it’s just a cute little pop of color that does. I think I’m going to have to invest in the beige pair.

  15. Really cute outfit. I love the sweater and I wish our Texas weather would give me the opportunities to wear it. A great price tho so tempting.

  16. After seeing these in your try on haul, I ordered these jeans in white because I like a looser fitting white jean. I love them! The only thing I don’t love is that they are button fly but I love the comfort and the rise and they are not see-through, just a tiny bit at the pocket but not bad.

  17. This is a great Spring outfit and you look fabulous in it. I like everything about it but not sure about the clogs yet. Maybe it’s because I wear Clark’s clogs around the house and have for years.

  18. I love everything about this outfit! I have always loved a star-print⭐️
I’m trying to be better about only buying “my colors” so I’m wondering if you would consider the sweater to be more ivory or pure white. Thanks!

  19. I’ve had my eye on these clogs for a few months now, but my size 7.5 was out, and I was afraid to size down. After seeing your try-on haul comment a week or so ago about ordering the smaller size and how it worked for you, I went right out and ordered the 7. I can’t wait for them to arrive and that they fit.

This is such a cute outfit! Have a great week!
