I’ve JUST about wrapped up my major Christmas shopping. Now I’m moving on to stocking stuffers. Yay me! I don’t think I’ve ever been this prepared. I guess it’s all the time I’ve spent at my computer this season; I just keep ordering stuff as I create my gift guides, and I’m almost done. Score!
For stockings, I like to load them up with mostly things the kids need plus one or two fun surprises. I usually end up at CVS on Christmas Eve because it’s so convenient. It’s close-by, and the parking lot is never too crazy. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to come within two miles of a shopping mall the week before Christmas! Plus they have all of the candy, toiletries, school supplies and odds and ends that I need to fill a stocking.
Nowadays, my tween daughter’s favorite store is CVS. It’s hilarious. It used to be, every time I was going to the mall, she wanted to tag along so she could get a toy from Justice. Now? It’s beauty products at CVS. Whenever I mention I need to run over to CVS for something, she plants herself in the front seat of my car.
So it’s fitting that I’m teaming up with CVS Beauty Club to put together a Christmas stocking that is chock full of fun beauty products for tween girls.
CVS has a great variety of products at a range of price points that make the perfect stocking stuffers for tweens and teens. Plus, the more I spend on beauty at CVS, the more ExtraBucks I earn. I had so much fun shopping for this.
I picked out a sweet-smelling shampoo because it seems like she runs through a bottle of shampoo every week. I picked up a wide-tooth comb and some bobby pins and ponytail holders because those things seem to have legs that walk away.
She’s starting to battle the acne so I bought her favorite acne cleanser and moisturizer.
The EOS lipgloss is a favorite among young girls. This is an ESSENTIAL tween girl stocking stuffer right here, people.
Then I got her a new nail file (pink, of course!) and some stick-on nail art.
The surprise she won’t be expecting is the eyelash curler. She’s been BEGGING for that, and I keep putting her off, but I finally decided she’s old enough handle it. Oh, and I also got her a tube of her favorite Cover Girl mascara. Somehow that didn’t make the picture. Ooops!
She will also get a new toothbrush. I always put toothbrushes in my kids’ stockings.
Finally, what’s a Christmas stocking without candy? A bag of Hershey Kisses and a candy cane round out this stocking befitting a tween.
She will LOVE this. I can’t wait to see her face on Christmas morning. Heck, I know a lot of adults who would love this! In fact, if you’re filling a gift basket for someone this holiday season, consider filling a stocking instead. It makes such a festive holiday present.
