Summer Workout Look with Zappos

Now that summer weather is here and I’m starting to get back to working out and exercising, I decided to refresh my summer workout wardrobe with a few new pieces. And you may find this hard to believe, but I actually got this whole summer workout look at Zappos! I know, who knew?

I mean, I knew that Zappos carries a wide variety of clothing in addition to their awesome shoe selection, but they actually carry a lot of workout gear as well. I even found my favorite running shorts available in several colors.

I discovered these Brooks Chaser 3″ Shorts last summer, and since then, I haven’t wanted to wear anything else to run in the summer heat. I’ve tried other brands and styles over the years, but none are as comfortable and flattering as these, so I just picked up another pair in the black as well as a pair in the grey.

I also picked up a couple of these Under Armour Knockout Tanks. I love a workout tank that skims the body without clinging, and they’re harder to find than you might think.

This one does exactly that, plus it’s very lightweight and breathable, and I love the T-back design.

This is the perfect set for summer running, but I can also wear it the tank with leggings to the gym for strength training workouts. Both the tank and shorts run a bit small; I have them in the medium.

My favorite running shoes are the Brooks Ghost, and I love this White/Heather/Ebony color way for summer. The bold shades of pink and blue on the white base with grey laces really pop.

I love buying running shoes at Zappos because they have an amazing 30 Day Runlimited Guarantee. Simply put, you have 30 days to test out your running shoes, and if you aren’t happy with them, you can exchange them for another style. That’s pretty hard to beat!

I also found a new sports bra at Zappos. I’m wearing the Under Armour Armour High Cross-Back Bra Zip under this tank.

The racer back style fits perfectly under this tank, and I like that it has a front zip, so you don’t have to finagle it on over your head.

It fits true to size, or maybe a bit small. I’m currently wearing a 34D in most regular bras, but this one was hard to zip in the 34D so I’m wearing the 34DD.

A friend recommended Tifosi sport sunglasses when I was training for a half marathon way back when, and they’re all I’ve worn since. They’re super lightweight, and they stay put and never slide down my nose, no matter how hot and sweaty I get. This pair is a great price at Zappos.

And my run cap is new as well; I’ve been wanting a black one, and this 2XU brand is really good. In fact, I got it in the white as well because my white run cap is getting kind of gross.

I like running in a cap in the summer to protect my face from the sun, and it also protects my head from bugs and other outdoorsy stuff when I’m hiking or running on a trail.

As always, when you shop at Zappos, you get the benefit of their 24/7 customer service and generous return policy. 1. What causes those horizontal wrinkles across your chest? Sometimes I get them, too and it drives me crazy because I can’t figure out how to fix it.

  2. I think purple is one of the most flattering/fun colors to style a workout wardrobe around (and: the mystical vibes they say are connected with it, I truly believe, benefit one’s spiritual as well as physical balance).

Awww, racerback sports bras — yessss, it’s like risking dislocating a shoulder EVERYTIME climbing out of one! You’re in great shape and have nothing to worry over(!). THAT is just like my Summer power walking outfit (except: the weight in my upper thighs would look war-ravaged, lol, in running shorts that length; so I just opt for black/grey camo/navy fitted capris).

  3. I just followed your link to the button front linen midi dress at Bloomingdales….so cute! I’m ordering in black. 😊The white is cute too….hard decision!

  4. I always value your opinions on products and so appreciate your explanations on fit and style. Did you notice much difference in the Ghost 13 and 14? I’ve been eyeing them for my daily walks. Preference in cushion and appearance?

  5. Hi Jolynne, are you wearing the Tifosi sunglasses you linked? If not, which ones are you wearing? I am trying to find something that doesn’t look too huge on my face and yours look perfect.

  6. Just reading this. Great outfit. Love the purple. That is a beautiful path to walk or run. You look great.
