The Best Fall Sweaters | #NSale 2021

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts at 3AM for Nordy Club Icon members, and I’m continuing with my deep dive into the most popular categories, where I share my favorite #NSale picks and where I think you’ll get the most bang for your shopping buck. Today, I’m rounding up my favorite fall sweaters.

one // two // three // four // five // six // seven // eight // nine // ten // eleven // twelve // thirteen // fourteen // fifteen // sixteen

FYI, I’ve linked all my 2021 #NSale coverage at the top of the blog, and you can bookmark that page for easy reference when it’s your time to shop. Using my Nordstrom links to shop the sale is a way you can support my blog, and it is SO very much appreciated!

The Best Fall Sweaters | #NSale 2021

I will admit, I’m a tad underwhelmed by the sweater selection this year. I’m seeing a lot of old favorites, which can be good or bad, depending on how you look at it. And it will take some trial and error to figure out which ones work best with the variety of denim options available. A lot of the pictures don’t seem to line up with the measurements provided, so I think a lot of these are going to look and fit differently in person. All that to say, it’s hard to give recommendations until I can try things on, but these are the sweaters that initially caught my eye.

As far as colors that are trending, there are still a lot of neutrals, but I’m seeing more color this year than last. There are some really pretty rust/orange options, and green is a huge trend this season in all clothing categories (shoes and handbags too!)

Pricing Note: The prices in the shopping widgets are wonky. Some are showing the full retail prices, and some are the sale prices. I cannot control how they are displayed, so click through for details.

Also, I tried to note the length on these, as well as the ones that do not have any wool/cashmere content, for those who are sensitive. Okay! With all that said, here are my favorites!

The Best Fall Sweaters Under $100

There are a lot of affordable sweaters in this sale, making this is a good opportunity to try out some of the more trendy styles that you may not want to keep forever. There are also some good basics that won’t break the bank. If you tend to get tired of colors or styles quickly, this is where I’d focus my energy. Brands I typically do well with in this category are Caslon, Halogen, Treasure & Bond, and Madewell.

The Best Fall Sweaters Over $100

I love a luxurious, high quality sweater, and if you take good care of them, they will last you many years. I live in sweaters during the fall and winter, so I often splurge on a couple of really nice ones during this sale.

Vince and Theory are both brands I’ve grown to love and trust when it comes to quality sweaters, I’m also a huge fan of the Nordstrom Signature brand. You get a lot of bang for your buck because you aren’t paying for the name brand, and in my experience, their quality and attention to detail is excellent. I won’t tell you that you can’t get a better deal on these brands if you wait for a winter clearance, but you’ll never find this selection at these prices any other time of year.

  1. Several of these are on my wish list! I saw the Rails cardigan is already sold out, but I’m not surprised. Last year, I really wanted the Rails blue camo sweater, but it also was sold out before I could buy and I never did manage to snag it. I’ve survived, though. 😁 There are a few things I am really hoping for, but I try to keep the perspective that there will *always* be awesome things that come along, and I may need to wait for the next awesome thing.

    1. Wow, I can’t believe that sold out already. I didn’t see much that was sold out yet, but that one pair of Frame jeans I wanted is. I didn’t get them ordered before I went in yesterday, and when I got home (after realizing they weren’t there) they were already sold out in most sizes. Oh well! 🙂

  2. Are the light wash jeans only for the summer? Or do you think you can wear them in the fall/winter too?
I’m trying on some jeans and tops and sweating !I don’t know how you do it with all your try ons!!
