A decision has been reached, regarding the boyfriend jeans. I’m sure you were unable to think of anything else all weekend so I’m here to put you out of your misery.
I am afraid it comes down to the dreaded two words — “age appropriate.” If I were 30, I’d snatch them right up. I really like the look. I suppose they appeal to my inner rock star, suppressed though she may be.
Five years ago, I could have pulled it off. But with the big 4-0 looming ominously, I think it’s time to come to terms with the fact that rips and tears have no place on my apparel.
The white jeans, on the other hand, are a go. I’m not sure if I’m going to get the ones I had on in the photo on Friday. I might; I really like them, and they would be nice for dressier occasions and nights out.
However, I did find another pair of white jeans on Saturday. I stopped in the Gap because they were offering 35% off all denim purchases if you brought in old denim to recycle. I was actually looking for a boyfriend jean without holes in them, but instead I came across a pair of white cropped skinny jeans that fit really well.
First, imagine them WITHOUT the booties. What IS that?
Second, I didn’t try them on rolled up. On me they are more of an ankle length, which I think will be really cute with sandals and flip flops in the summer months. Best of all, with 35% off, they were less than $40. SCORE!

Cute!( not the boots, of course!) I would look ridiculous in white jeans, but you look really cute in that kinda stuff.
I actually had a guy (makeup artist) say to me not too long ago, “Even you’re not skinny enough to wear white pants.” Okay then. And also? Phbbllt. I’m wearing them anyway. LOL.
I am now, officially in love with your blog (as a first time reader). Oh, white capris! Amazing!
How nice to hear! (How did you find me?)
I just stumbled upon your blog and I love it!
The white jeans are really cute. I got a pair from JCrew for $19 end of summer last year. I can’t wait to wear them! White jeans are so classy and Jackie O. I think I’ll pair them with a stripped top for a nautical look.
Can’t wait to read more of your blog.
Wow, two first-timers in a row! 🙂 This is fun. I should post about white jeans more often, ha!
White jeans, sandals and an adorable sailory type top! Girl you are so ready for summer!! Cant wait to see pics of you sporting your new jeans!
Love them! Sorry that I didn’t get back to you about the jeans over the weekend… My weekend kind of got away from me.
Those are adorable. Being the “pear” that I am, I can never pull off any of the skinny styles out there. But think these will look great on you (agreed, without the booties. I don’t get that style either!)
Sounds like you got something you like at a really good price! Well done! I need to get some more jeans…I don’t know about you, but I am CONSTANTLY getting holes in my knees! So annoying, when you have a really great pair of jeans, and they decide to go holey on you. I sometimes try and pull it off, thinking I look grungy, but I think I just look like a woman who needs a new pair of jeans…*sigh*
Pffft!! Is that the same make up guy that talked you into buying all that make up that wasn’t right for you?? Double Pffft on him!
If you’re talking narrow white pants that stop at your ankles, and not capris that go to your calves, then I’m all about that! What I’d give to have long slim legs like yours to carry that off!! I’m thinking Sandra Dee’s Gidget and Gilligan’s MaryAnn! Oooh and with a yellow top! Keeey-YUTE!!
(with out the booties. ick!!)
Forgot to tell you that I think you can totally rock the white jeans!!
