Best of January 2024: Top Ten Reader Favorites

Happy first day February! I’m more than ready to kick January to the curb, but first, let’s take a look back and see what you all were loving last month.

10 Best Selling Products in January 2024

These were the ten best sellers, based on the number of orders made through each of these links. They’re listed in typical Top Ten order, with the most popular one last.

also wearing: old Vince sweater //  MOTHER Weekender in We The Animals (29) (budget option) // Vince boots (8) // similar bag // Madewell necklaceearrings

#10. J.Crew Daphne Topcoat // Definitely my best coat purchase last year, the J.Crew Daphne Topcoat is once again in my Top Ten! Sizes are limited, but if you need a classic wool blend top coat, I highly recommend this one. It also comes in black, ivory, and a pretty pink.

#9.  Donna Morgan Dress // I linked this dress in a Nordstrom Fashion Finds roundup at the beginning of the month, and you all loved it! I’m not surprised to see it in the Top Ten. I’d love to know… if you bought one, how did it work out for you?

also wearing: Lou & Grey joggers (S) // P448 sneakers (39) (more options)

#8. Lou & Grey Side Striped Cozy Cotton Terry Sweatshirt // I think this Lou & Grey sweatsuit is so cute, and evidently, a lot of you did too! It’s the perfect athleisure set for running errands and casual days at home when you still want to look and feel somewhat put-together.

#7. LOFT Cable Half Zip Sweater Dress // This dress was part of my LOFT Fashion Finds. Did it work out well for anyone?

I put it in my cart, but I guess I forgot to check out. I must have been distracted writing the post and forget to go back and finalize the sale. That happens more often than you’d think! Thankfully it’s still available, so I think I’m going to try it!

also wearing: Nordstrom cashmere (S) // MOTHER denim (29) // similar boots // similar belt // DIFF sunnies // Coach bag

#6. Treasure & Bond Oversize Plaid Recycled Polyester & Wool Blend Jacket (S) // This jacket has been on repeat all fall and winter. I love the bomber jacket styling and the subtle plaid pattern, plus the shades of brown are trending this year and look great with denim. It’s on sale, with a few sizes remaining, if you want to snag one!

also wearing: Good American jeans (8) // Paul Green Selma Lug Sole Bootie (8) // Jenny Bird earrings

#5. Vince Camuto Stripe Polo Sweater // This is such a nice easy sweater to wear with jeans and pants, and there are a few sizes left. It’s nice and soft, and rather thin, so you should be able to wear it into spring.

also wearing: Splendid tank (M) // MOTHER Dazzler (29) // Dolce Vita Beny Loafer (8)

#4. Caslon Stripe Open Front Cardigan // Speaking of sweaters you can wear into spring, I love this stripe cardigan. It’s not the most fashion-forward style, but I feel like it has nice classic look to it, and the spaced-out stripes keep it looking fresh.

also wearing: thermal tee (M) // cargo jeans (29) // P448 John (39)

#3. Gap Factory Sherpa Zip Hoodie // Sadly, this sherpa hoodie is almost sold out. I really like this one! If you can find one in your size, it’s a great casual jacket for late winter/early spring.

also wearing: Caslon cardigan (S) // Splendid tank (M) // MOTHER Dazzler (29)

#2. Dolce Vita Beny Loafer (8) // These are such good loafers, and I was so excited to find them… and then so sad to see they almost immediately sold out. They’re still fully stocked on the Dolce Vita website, though. The suede is shockingly soft and supple, and I love the braided detail around the toe. I’m thinking I might order the silver pair too. See them styled here.

And in first place… Drum Roll Please! 🥁

#1. J. Crew Field Sneaker (8h) // And once again in the top spot, these J.Crew Field Sneakers! These are a great way to get the coveted Adidas Samba look without hunting all over the universe to find your size. I also like that they aren’t the exact shoe that everyone is wearing.

These sneakers are very comfortable, and because they aren’t leather, the price point is really good too.

FIT TIP: You may want to size up half.

  1. Hi! Curious if you hung in to the Good American jeans pictured with the striped sweater? If so, how are they living? Thanks!

    1. I tried them and the same weird line that JoLynne mentioned was on them so it must be a defect on all of them. Back they went. I recommend trying AGolde Riley full Length in their dark wash.

  2. I bought the Loft green sweatshirt and joggers. I love them for around the house– so cozy. However, my eight-year-old granddaughter walked in Sunday morning and greeted me cheerfully, telling me she liked my outfit because I look like a big green bean. Out of the mouths of babes…

  3. Hi, can anyone tell me if the JCrew sneakers have a removable insole? I have to use custom orthotics for my bad feet and can only buy shoes that can accommodate. Thanks!!

    1. I added my orthotic to the shoe and they still fit fine, if anything I think they run a little big, as even with my orthotic they slip a tiny bit. I really like the shoe and they are super comfie, but want to let you know that because they are not leather they do make my feel really hot!

  4. I love the Gap Sherpa jacket….its cute and warm. I purchased the Loft sweater dress in navy and I like it. At first I was not sure because it’s relatively straight. My other Talbots sweater dress has a little more shape to it. But once I had the Loft dress on with boots, it looked cute.
Also have the JCrew sneakers….a little different look that I love and wear all the time now! Thanks!!

  5. I bought the Dolce Vita Benny Loafers in the silver (pewter) and love them. They are so comfortable. I haven’t wore them yet as it’s been too cold. I’d love for you to get them and see how you’d style them. I had to buy through the shoes website as Nordstrom sold out of my size, but I was glad as I got 15% off because I signed up for emails/text. It was worth it for the money off since they are spendy. I also bought a black fleece lined bomber you linked when you linked this plaid one. Love it too. I too almost ordered the light grey sweater dress.

  6. I bought those field sneakers and LOVE them. Makes me feel more current and great with the athleisure and jeans on the weekends! Very comfortable–as good as my golden goose and P448s. Thanks Jolynne!

  7. Count me in as another fan of the J Crew sneakers! Got them right before Christmas and am so pleased with how comfortable and cute they are and how often I wear them. They look so good with both wide and straight leg jeans. I also bought the Loft Lou and Gray set–literally got it 2 days before my entire state was shut down for a week with snow. It got worn a lot! I kept telling my husband, “Cost per wear!” 🙂

  8. Question about the JCrew field sneakers: Do they run small? And do they make your feet look bigger? I’ve seen a couple people on Instagram wearing them (& the Adidas Samba too) and it looks like their feet are longer than usual. (They don’t look unusually big on you.) I know that probably sounds like a weird question but I wear size 9 1/2 or “40” shoes and have long skinny calves so I feel self-conscious if my feet stick out. Does that make sense?

    1. Heather, I just bought them and wore them today for the first time. They do run a little small but I got my usual size 8.5 and didn’t wear socks. They were comfortable without socks. I didn’t think they made my feet look big and I’m 5’3″ so I’m always thinking about that. Since they’re not all one color, I think that helps break up the expanse of shoe, if that makes sense.

      1. Thank you Katheryne. That helps a lot. I really like the look of them especially with the different denim styles right now. I think I will go for it and order the JCrew to try out. xo
