Top Ten in January 2023

Good morning on this last day of January! Today I’m rounding up the best selling products from the JLS community this month.

This is always a strange time of year for fashion… we’re looking ahead to spring, but it’s still a long ways off, and we’re noticing holes in our winter wardrobes. Fortunately, there are a lot of good sales to be had, as stores are trying to liquidate their cold weather styles to make room for spring inventory. I’ve been sharing a mix of resort wear, winter boots and outerwear, and transitional styles.

10 Best Sellers in January 2023

These were the 10 most purchased products from my blog and social channels this month. They’re listed in typical Top Ten order, with the most popular one last.

#10. Sweaty Betty Power Kick Flare Trousers // I’m loving this throwback style, and I guess you all do too! Sweaty Betty leggings are some of the best for fit and shaping, and these kick flares are no different. Perfect for athleisure looks this spring and summer! They run true to size, or size up if in between; I’m wearing the medium.

#9. Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer w/ Stand & Round Brush // This hair dryer is a major game changer, and this set with the stand and round brush and multiple accessories is a QVC exclusive.

#8. Blondo Dahlia Waterproof Bootie // My boots are last year’s version, but this year’s is almost the same… such a good price for stylish, versatile winter boots! They run true to size.

#7. tarte Maracuja Juicy Lipstick & Lip Liner Set // I love this lip liner and lipstick set for $29… so moisturizing, great pigment, and lip plumping qualities to boot! I have the Mauve

#6. Gap Factory Waffle Knit T-Shirt // A great layering piece for transition season… this waffle knit tee comes in a bunch of colors, and it’s very comfy and flattering. It runs TTS, or size up if in between; I’m wearing the small.

#5. Banana Republic Essential Sweater // This classic sweater with raglan sleeves and contrasting rib trim at the neck, cuffs, and hem is a winter wardrobe staple that comes in a bunch of great colors and neutrals. It has no wool content, and it runs true to size; I’m wearing the small.

also wearing: AG Farrah Bootcut (on sale at Zappos) // Marc Fisher Urmi Bootie (8)

#4. Rails Josie Cardigan // This bright pink cropped cardigan is a great way to incorporate several of the latest trends into your winter wardrobe. It’s soft and cozy, and it runs true to size; I’m wearing the small.

#3. LOFT Stripe Crochet Textured Sweater // And I love this cotton blend sweater with a nautical vibe for transitioning from winter to spring. It’s a classic length and runs true to size.

also wearing: MOTHER The Dazzler Mid Rise Ankle Slim Jeans (29) // Sorel Hi Line Chelsea Boot (8) // sunnies

And that’s a wrap! I am excited to see what February holds. Even though we have quite a bit of winter left here in Philly, I’m going to be transitioning to spring fashion trends and resort wear on the blog, so buckle up! It’s going to be fun!!!

  1. I’m curious about the Ever Eve Thermal Pigment Pullover…..if you or anyone else has purchased, I’m wondering after washing and drying (how they dried) if any shrinkage. I like color and was curious on sizing before I purchased.

Thanks for mentioning color or lip product……I like and am interested in that as well. Have a great day.

    1. Hey Robin, I missed this comment! I haven’t washed mine yet, believe it or not. I’ve worn it a few times, but it isn’t dirty yet. I will definitely wash on cold and lay flat to dry.

  2. I have ordered the Caslon Drape Neck Sweatshirt. This is a challenging time to dress for my day since the mornings can be pretty cold and the afternoons a tad warm. We don’t really have much time with spring temps, so I don’t need a lot of clothes for that season.

  3. What do you use as a lip gloss with the matte finish lip stick and liner set? I did purchase the set, but I think you had originally said you wear a gloss over that.
I also cannot wait to wear the blue and white Loft striped crochet sweater. We need warmer weather, for sure, even here in NC.

  4. I was on the fence about the Rails Cardi, might as well order it in and see how it looks on me. You and I are about the same size, although I do have broad shoulders. I’ll let you know how I like it!! Also ordering the Blondo Boots & the Caslon drape sweatshirt. Thanks for the post!! Tina P. (from Maryland)

  5. I think it’s always fun to see these! I got the purple waffle knit tee and the birch colored sweater from Gap. I’ve enjoyed wearing both!
