Trending Beauty Products: Fall 2024

I’ve been hearing tons of buzz about these must-try beauty products all over social media, so of course I want to see what all the hype is about. Help me decide which ones I should try.

From hydrating skincare to shine-boosting hair products, these trending picks are the update your fall beauty routine might need. I’d love to know if you’ve tried any of these and how they worked for you.

Trending Beauty, Hair, and Skincare Products for Fall

Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream // Reviewers say this super hydrating skin cream goes on like silk. A little goes a long way, and you only need a tiny bit to get a moisturized, glowing finish that lasts all day.

Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey // The Black Honey shade might look dark in the tube, but don’t be fooled. It adjusts to your natural lip color for a perfect hint of sheer, flattering color. Plus, it feels like a moisturizing lip balm! I can’t wait to try it.

Laura Geller Retractable Airbrush Kabuki Brush // The bristles on this brush are incredibly soft and blend your makeup seamlessly, giving you that airbrushed look. And the retractable design is perfect for tossing in your bag for touch-ups anytime.

Tower 28 SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray // This pH-balanced toner is a lifesaver for calming red, irritated skin, especially for those suffering from eczema or acne flare-ups. It’s also fantastic for a quick refresh on hot days or after a workout. I have rosacea, so I’m hoping it helps with that.

Bali Secret Hair Treatment Serum // These might look like vitamins you would take orally, but they’re actually serum capsules you break open to pour over damp, towel-dried hair. They’re supposed to be great for taming frizz and adding a bit of shine!

Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask // My social media feeds have been overflowing with this “go to bed ugly, wake up pretty” trend. The videos show women using overnight masks, heatless curlers, etc. By morning, they’re peeling off their masks to reveal glowing skin and effortless beauty with barely any effort. This mask is apparently great at staying put while you sleep and delivers hydrated, glowy skin.

Frownies Facial Patches // I’m also spotting these overnight patches in the videos! You apply them before bed and let them work to smooth out your fine lines and wrinkles.

V-Line Lifting Hydrogel Collagen Mask // I’m intrigued by this lifting mask. It’s supposed to lift and tighten your jawline and chin area, which I need desperately. I’m not happy with how this area is starting to sag. I’ve read mixed reviews on if it actually works or not, but it’s worth a try!

FHI Heat UNbrush Detangling Brush // This brush’s gentle bristles make detangling a breeze, whether your hair is wet or dry. I wish I had this when my girls were younger!

Salt & Stone Deodorant // A natural deodorant that actually works and keeps you feeling fresh all day long, with a subtle, clean scent.

L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream // This shea butter hand cream is thick and smooth and soaks in quickly, leaving your skin smooth and hydrated but not greasy. It also smells wonderful! I’ve used this for years, so I’m happy to see it getting some airtime on social media.

Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum // This eye serum is incredibly lightweight and works to brighten your under-eye area, smooth fine lines, and reduce puffiness to leave you looking refreshed and awake, even on those tired mornings. I could use that today! I was up at 0-dark-hundred to get to the airport on time.

  1. Hi Jo-Lynne, I’ve seen you mention rosacea on your blog a few times. I’ve dealt with rosacea for decades and early on realized that it’s an internal thing, so topical agents can be only so effective. Once I addressed gut issues, I began to see real change. The most helpful things have been treating for h pylori and most recently, adding a liquid glutathione supplement. The only redness on my face now is form tiny blood vessels—except when I eat gluten or dairy! For what it’s worth! ☺️

  2. I’m beginning to pay attention to my lower face looking a bit lax as well! It’s new and I’m not a fan, ha!
I saw my esthetician at my dermatologist office the other day and we plan to address it with a laser in October. Sometimes, when a product offers the ‘same’ hope that a procedure does it humors me. Like the song says “let’s skip to the good part” is how I feel about skipping the drug store/department store skincare and go straight to the medical grade (and procedures if that’s your jam). However, I do firmly believe that these entry level things are way better than doing nothing! Great place to start! Enjoy Nashville!

    1. Hey Shelly – what laser will you be doing in October? I get Fraxel yearly. It doesn’t help with sagging skin, but it does help with fine lines, wrinkles, and sunspots. I’ve seen a HUGE difference. Cheers

  3. Hi Jo Lynne. I have used the frownies patches before way back in the late 2000’s and again about 2 years ago. I also tried the SIO brow beauty patches that cover the entire forehead to make my Dysport last longer. They had one called blue sparkle Wonderwoman & it was so cute. Sio is just slow about mailing and getting theirs to you. They really do the job. I quit ordering because I thought they were lost in the mail forever but finally got them. I do really like them. They cover the entire forehead in one swoop and are reuseable. Frownies you have to stick about 8 to your forehead to make a mask on forehead but they work too. Have fun trying them out!!!

  4. The Clinique black honey lipstick is great ! I was skeptical since it looked so dark but gave it a try and really like it

  5. I have had the kabuki brush; maybe I need to try it again. The Black Honey by Clinique is a pretty color; my daughter’s fav, but has little staying power.

I have an off-the-subject question. How do you keep your jeans from rubbing color onto your taupe and light colored suede boots?

    Have a safe trip

    1. Barbara…. That has been my question for years. I have ruined light color boits due to jeans dying on them. Now that the Jean styles are linger again it’s really going to be a problem. I just won’t buy suede anymore. Others don’t seem to mention having this problem. I wash my jeans in cold and lay out to dry so maybe the dye stays in them more than someone who washes on outer cycle.

    2. I get asked this a lot about the dye from denim rubbing off on boots, and I don’t have a great answer, but I haven’t noticed an issue. Maybe it’s because I haven’t been wearing much dark denim in recent years. I usually pair light wash jeans with the lighter colored boots, and now that dark wash is coming back, I am wearing it more with the dark brown and black boots.

  6. I bought the Salt and Stone Deodorant on a whim at a boutique store. The scent is amazing. This summer I received so many compliments on my scent and it was my Salt and Stone. I also love Tatcha skin cream. So silky and smooth. Thanks for compiling the list. I’m excited to try some of the other beauty products!

  7. I have the Clinique Almost Lipstick and i love it! I saw it at Ulta and thought, no way, that’s too dark for me, even though it was displayed as adjusting to all skin tones. I passed on it initially and then after talking to a woman in line who was buying it and had a different skin tone than me, i decided to try it. All that to say, it really does adjust to your skin tone and is a lovely color. It’s buildable and also moisturizing.

  8. I hope you have a safe trip and same for your daughter and husband. I remember when my kids moved out. It was sad at first but you’ll get used to it. Thanks for the list of items. I haven’t tried any of them. I’m following the advice of the Blowdry Professor on YouTube and I don’t hate my hair anymore. It’s no longer frizzy and it stays cleaner longer.

  9. The Salt and Stone deodorants work. Each scent is unique and smells amazing. I particularly like the Neroli and Basil scent. They also sell mini sizes which are perfect for travel. I find the gel formula doesn’t work as well as the regular.

  10. I can just see your husband waking up in horror when he sees you with that mask on. 😱 lol
I’m interested in trying the Black Honey lipstick.
I’m not sure the mask will help with lax skin. Shelley mentioned laser. I have the same happening so I think I will visit my dermatologist. I’ll be interested if you see any results though.
    Safe travels!

  11. I also use Salt and Stone deodorant. My favorite scent is Black Rose and Oud. It works all day! I am very skeptical of products with Hylauronic Acid in them. There are many studies about HA. It’s a large molecule, so it’s not absorbed into the skin easily (unless you’re getting it injected by a Dermatologist), and HA attracts water. If you’re using it often, over time, it can dehydrate your skin as it’s pulling water into the molecule itself. Sorry to geek out, but I swear if I did life again, I’d be a Dermatologist, LOL. If you want to follow a sassy and informative Derm, I suggest Dr. Idriss or Pillowtalk Derm.

  12. I’ve used the Tatcha cream before and it really does go on like silk and leaves your skin feeling great. I jump around to various face things but I do like that one.

  13. I’ve used the Clinique Black Honey almost lipstick for years. It’s the only lipstick I use. Hope it never gets discontinued. Curious about that Korean eye serum. I have heard that Korean skincare products are good however I don’t like buying products that aren’t readily available locally.

  14. There is so much out there huh? It’s easier for me to eliminate trying stuff because I only use all natural CLEAN beauty products. I have sensitive skin too. The collagen shin lifter one seems interesting. I could use that. lol
Have a great flight. Our Portland Oregon airport is getting a new remodel and so far it’s so neat. People say it’s the best in the United States. I haven’t seen in person yet and phase 2 has to happen yet. I guess 22 new stores and restaurants too. Beautiful wood slatted ceilings and greenery all around. Looks so Northwest. People are going to hang out and shop even if they don’t have a flight. lol Looking forward to hearing how your days moving Becca go.

    1. That’s crazy! I want to visit Portland now, lol. The Philly airport is kind of sketch but they’re trying to improve it. It’s better than it used to be. There’s nowhere to expand it so all they can do is make the inside prettier, but it’s old and I’m not sure it’s a huge priority. At least I have lots of options to fly direct to most major cities.

  15. Hi Jo-Lynne,
I actually have experience with two of these products! I’ve been purchasing the Tower 28 spray for my teen and almost 20s children since it first came out. They all have sensitive skin, some are acne prone, and the boys deal with post-shaving redness and irritation. It helps calm down redness and soothe sensitivity for all of these issues, plus that post shower or post exercise “hot” feeling, and it’s so easy to use. Personally, it doesn’t work for me because I have an ultra-sensitive skin above my top lip that is super reactive, even to this product unfortunately. I have used Clinique black honey since I was a teenager. Dating myself, it was the lip color Molly Ringwald wore in the Breakfast Club! My 17 year old daughter also uses it – she doesn’t wear any makeup on her skin/eyes but loves to wear lip color/lip glosses and has a nice collection. It looks slightly different on each of us, because it’s semi sheer and we have different coloring, but it’s lovely on us both, in my opinion. It gives a really pretty medium dark berry shade that looks impactful but not heavy at all. The sheerness also makes it easy to apply because you don’t get the harsh line from a darker more matte formula. It also doesn’t irritate my sensitive lip area.

  16. You shared some great finds. Our poor husbands might decide to sleep in another room if we sleep with the mask on 🤣.

  17. I’ve used both the Frownies and the V-Line Lifting masks. I have seen noticeable improvements with consistent use. Although, they are not Dermatologist quality – I’ve seen good results!
