Transitional Spring Try-Ons from Quince, EVEREVE, J.Crew, Nordstrom & More

Happy Friday! I’ve got a bunch of new try-ons to share with you today. It’s a mix of late winter and early spring styles, and next week I’ll be transitioning into spring content with my annual Spring Trends Week, so stay tuned for that!

As usual, I will provide measurements and fabric content on each item when I can find it, and I’ll share whether I plan to keep it or not. Just remember, even when I decide not to keep something, it doesn’t mean it isn’t worth checking out. I just may not need it, or it may not work for my body type or lifestyle.

SIZING NOTES: I’m 5’5″ and typically wear a small or medium in tops and dresses, a 29–30 in jeans and pants, and a size 8.5 shoe. I often fall between sizes, so fit notes matter. Gifted items are marked c/o; everything else was purchased by me.

Art Heart On A String Necklace

c/o Jenny Bird // NAADAM turtleneck c/o (M) // FRAME Pixie Arrow (29)

PRODUCT DETAILS: This voluminous silver heart pendant hangs from an adjustable beige cord made of recycled polyester. Finished in high-polish silver.

  • Measurements: 32″ cord length; 1.75″ pendant length
  • Material: silver dipped brass

MY THOUGHTS: Jenny Bird offered to send me a piece from their new Love Collection, and I chose this silver heart pendant on a cord. I love the contrast of the shiny metal paired with the cord instead of a chain; it feels more modern and adds just a bit of edge.

I’m not usually drawn to heart prints or heart-themed jewelry, but I really like this collection because the hearts feel less sweet and more sculptural. I also have my eye on this bracelet, too.

VERDICT: Keeping. I’ve already worn it a couple of times.

LOFT Versa V-neck Cardigan Top in Black

40% off at LOFT (M) // Madewell The Jules (30) // Dolce Vita Notice (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Level up your everyday. Refined and smooth to the touch, our seasonless stretch fabric is the perfectly tailored, versatile option to wear all year round.

  • Measurements: 20 1/2″ long
  • Material: 69% Rayon 31% Polyester
  • Care: Machine Washable

MY THOUGHTS: This top is very similar to my Bobi ribbed button-up. It has a substantial ribbed texture and a slightly shorter length that works well worn untucked. The deep V-neck is especially flattering. Bonus: it’s currently 40% off!

VERDICT: I feel like it’s too simliar to the Bobi, and I don’t really need both, but otherwise I would have kept it.

Delancey Sling

c/o Capital Z // Jenni Kayne Flynn (S) // MOTHER Lil Kick It (30P) // Dolce Vita Notice (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: A sleek suede sling with striking contrast details and a hands-free design. From cocktails to concerts – she is your go-to bag.

  • Genuine Suede leather with cotton poly lining
  • Interchangeable strap
  • Exterior pocket, interior card case, interior zip pocket
  • Height 8″ x Width 14″ x Depth 3.5″

My friends at Capital Z gifted me this bag, and I absolutely love it. The mix of suede and croc-embossed leather is so chic, and the little red zipper tab adds a fun pop. It feels on-trend yet still elevated. It’s also surprisingly roomy and has a generous exterior pocket on the back that easily fits my gigantic phone.

VERDICT: Love it, totally holding onto this one!

Modern Slub Tee in White

at Z Supply (M) // Citizens Miro (29) // Dolce Vita Notice (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: This casual yet versatile top is great for wearing year-round and looks so good with your fave pair of jeans for an effortlessly cool look.

  • Measurements: Garment length from shoulder: 22″
  • Material: Lightweight slubbed jersey
  • Care: Wash cold

MY THOUGHTS: I love the fit and cut of this boxy slub tee, but it’s a bit snug through the chest area and at the waist in the size medium. I fear it would shrink and feel too small. The fabric is beautiful, though, and the high neckline is perfect for wearing under crewneck sweaters when you want the tee to peek out.

VERDICT: I returned this one, but I might try the large.

CashSoft Oversized Chunky Cardigan in Ivory beige frost

20% off at Gap (M) // Citizens Miro (29) // Dolce Vita Notice (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Oversized, fits loose on the body. For a Classic fit, go down one to two sizes. Slightly cropped, hits above the hip.

  • Material: Cotton 53%, Nylon 24%, Acrylic 23%
  • Care: Machine wash cold, gentle cycle. Lay flat to dry.

MY THOUGHTS: This cardigan is nicely relaxed in a beautiful ivory shade, and the contrasting buttons are such a great detail. It’s made from a thicker cotton blend — no wool, for anyone with sensitivities. I could probably size down, but I sort of like the roomy fit.

VERDICT: Keeping. This will be perfect for chilly spring days in Pennsylvania.

Nation LA Tommie Sweatshirt

c/o Nation Los Angeles (M) – 15% off with JOLYNNE15 // Citizens Miro (29) // Steve Madden sneakers c/o (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Comfort minus the compromise. Your go-to sweatshirt is cut from 100% cotton French terry with a relaxed fit. Details like ribbed banding gives this sweatshirt a lived-in feel.

  • Measurements: Length: 23″
  • Material: 100% Cotton
  • Care: Machine washable. Air dry or dry on a low setting.

MY THOUGHTS: Nation Los Angeles is a brand I first discovered at EVEREVE. They make really good casual tops, so I was thrilled when they offered to send me a few pieces directly. They also provided a discount code to share — 15% off with JOLYNNE15.

This top was the first item I added to my cart. I love the sweatshirt-meets–V-neck design, along with the snap details and raw hem. It’s cozy and comfortable but feels more elevated and interesting than a typical sweatshirt.

VERDICT: Definitely keeping — I’ve already worn it once.

Rochelle Boatneck Tee in Blush

c/o Nation Los Angeles – 15% off with JOLYNNE15 (M) // FRAME The Lax (29) // Sam Edelman Saige Bootie (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: The Rochelle Boatneck Tee brings a refined, dress-up feel while still staying cool and approachable. Boxy, soft, and easy to wear, it’s finished with bell sleeves, a clean boat neckline, and subtle silver snaps for just the right amount of character.

  • Measurements: Length: 22″
  • Material: Contents: 100% Peruvian Cotton
  • Care: Machine washable. Air dry or dry on a low setting.

MY THOUGHTS: This is such a great transition piece. I love the silver button details on the shoulders, and the bell sleeves are a nice touch. The lightweight slub fabric has a nice substance to it — not too thin, not too thick, and pink is definitely trending for spring.

It feels just a smidge too long to wear untucked, so I tried tucking it. I like it much better styled that way, but next time I’ll add a belt.

VERDICT: I’m definitely holding onto this one.

Winter White Hendrix Henley

at Tuckernuck (8.5) // Madewell The Jules (30) // Dolce Vita Notice (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: From relaxing days to elevated evenings, this top is luxurious and on trend with its V-neckline and partial front button placket. Keep it casual with denim and sneakers or add a twist to your going out look by pairing it with trousers or a feminine skirt for an outfit that’s in a league of its own.

  • Measurements:
  • Material: 50% Viscose, 30% Polyester, 20% Nylon
  • Care: Hand wash cold, lay flat to dry

MY THOUGHTS: I’ve always loved a ribbed Henley, especially a V-neck style. It’s the perfect mix of sporty and casual with a slightly sleek, subtly sexy edge. This one is an especially nice quality option, which elevates the look even more.

It layers beautifully under my Ollie Varsity Vest, which happens to be on sale!

And under my new cropped trench, as well!

VERDICT: This one’s a keeper!

Benny Cropped Trench Jacket

at EVEREVE (M) // Quince wide leg jeans (30/30) // Dolce Vita Baylee (8.5) // Stella & Dot pendant – 15% off with JOLYNNE15

PRODUCT DETAILS: A fresh take on the classic trench coat, the Benny jacket by EVEREVE features a cropped button-front silhouette with a removable hood—making it as versatile as it is chic.

  • Measurements: Length from Shoulder to Hem: 22″
  • Material: 85% Polyester, 15% Cotton Woven
  • Care: Machine wash cold, dry flat.

MY THOUGHTS: I’m a sucker for a cropped trench. I have the LOFT one that I wore all over London and the Cotswolds last spring, but this one is a nice update. It’s a bit lighter, and I love the removable hood… which I forgot to reattach when I took these pictures, but you can see it here:

Bobi ribbed top (M) // Stella & Dot necklace – 15% off with JOLYNNE15

I also really like the button tab on the storm flap and the one at the cuff. Just so many nice details that make this jacket a great little spring outfit topper and it’s highly versatile as well.

VERDICT: Keeping this one, for sure. Cannot wait until it’s warm enough to wear it!

Caslon Cotton Parka with Removable Hood

at Nordstrom (S) // Hendrix Henley (M) // Gap Factory Sweatpant Jeans (30) // VEJA Esplar (39)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Perfect for transitional weather, this cotton parka features a classic look, roomy pockets and a removable hood with snaps to keep the elements out.

  • Measurements:
  • Material: 100% cotton
  • Care: Machine wash, line dry

MY THOUGHTS: If you’re looking for a true spring jacket, this cotton parka is a really good find. The fabric is heavier than the cropped trench and will definitely provide some protection from the elements, but it still feels more modern than a traditional spring jacket.

I love the details, like the inverted pleat, patch pockets, and the removable hood if you want a sleeker look.

VERDICT: I’m wearing the small here, but I think I’ll exchange for a medium. It feels a bit snug through the upper back, and I’d like the option to wear a lightweight sweater underneath.

Addison Sleeveless Linen-Blend Sweater

at Tommy Bahama (S) // J.Crew denim trouser jeans (29) // Dolce Vita Alenna Slingbacks (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Knit in a lightweight linen blend with an ultra-flattering drape, this sleeveless sweater is an elevated staple every woman needs in their warm weather wardrobe.

  • Back length: 22.5″ from shoulder to hem
  • 62% linen, 38% LENZING™ EcoVero viscose.
  • Hand wash cold. Reshape and lay flat to dry. Can dry clean.

MY THOUGHTS: I love a sweater tank, and this is a really nice option for warm-weather getaways (or whenever summer finally arrives). The linen/viscose blend is lightweight with a lovely texture, and the bra-friendly straps and flattering V-neck are especially good.

VERDICT: Love this one, definitely keeping.

J.Crew denim trouser jeans

30% off at J.Crew (29) // Tommy Bahama tank (S) // Dolce Vita Alenna Slingbacks (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: The effortless everyday pair you were looking for, with an ultra-high rise that sits right at—or just below—the belly button and a wide-leg that’s fitted around the hips and gradually gets roomier.

  • 11 3/4″ Front Rise; 31″ Inseam; 24 1/2″ Leg Opening
  • 99% cotton; 1% Lycra® spandex
  • Machine wash, tumble dry

MY THOUGHTS: I’ve shared these before, but since I’m wearing them here, a quick recap. These jeans are remarkably good. I often struggle with J.Crew denim fits, but this pair really works for me. They feel like a cross between a slim wide leg and a relaxed straight.

The wash is a great medium shade with just enough whiskering and fading to look lived-in without feeling sloppy — and the rear view checks out, too. I think they’re a very solid option if you’d rather not spend upwards of $150 on denim.

VERDICT: I was planning to keep these, but I haven’t worn them yet. They somehow got buried on my rolling rack, so I’m moving them into my closet to make sure they actually make it into my rotation.

rag & bone Miramar Sofie High Waist Ankle Wide Leg Terry Sweatpant Jeans in Venice

at Nordstrom (29) // Tommy Bahama tank (S) // beek flip flops (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: A masterpiece of deception, these supersoft cotton-terry pants are an oh-so-comfortable canvas for a photorealistic print of faded wide-leg jeans.

  • 29″ inseam, 25″ leg opening; 12 1/2″ front rise
  • Elastic waist; decorative zip fly with button closure
  • Front scoop pockets; decorative coin and back pockets
  • 100% cotton
  • Machine wash, line dry

MY THOUGHTS: These are the viral rag & bone Miramar “sweatpant jeans” that seem to be everywhere right now. They’re made from a comfy cotton terry fabric that feels like sweatpants but looks like denim. I do appreciate that this pair has an actual front pocket — I had the shorts last summer that didn’t, and the flat front looked a bit odd.

They don’t look terrible in these photos, but I didn’t love them in person. On me, they felt too baggy and wide and didn’t do much to hold in the fluff. I even went back to look at other images to confirm what I was seeing…

VERDICT: At the end of the day, I just really prefer the structure of good-quality stretch denim, especially through the belly and midsection where I appreciate a bit of smoothing. That said, I can absolutely see the appeal — these would be great for travel when you want sweatpant-level comfort with a more polished look. I may try the flare version or another silhouette that’s typically more flattering on me than a wide leg.

High Rise Sweatpant Jeans

40% off at Gap Factory (10/30) // Hendrix Henley (M) // VEJA Esplar (39) // Stella & Dot pendant – 15% off with JOLYNNE15

PRODUCT DETAILS:

  • Measurements: Inseam: 30″
  • Material: 78% Cotton, 16% Recycled Polyester, 5% Recycled Cotton, 1% Spandex.
  • Care: Machine wash

MY THOUGHTS: This is Gap Factory’s take on the viral “sweatpant jeans,” although they’re not actually made from sweatshirt material. The fabric feels more like a very thin denim, but it’s soft, stretchy, and extremely comfortable.

Like the rag & bone pair, this fabric doesn’t provide quite the same molding and hold as traditional stretch denim (and I’ll take all the help I can get these days). That said, I do find this pair a bit more flattering — perhaps slightly less wide through the thighs.

VERDICT: I’d want to wear them for a few hours to see how they hold up, but considering the price difference, I’m more inclined to go with this version.

Bella Stretch Wide Leg Jeans in Faded Black

at Quince (30/30) // Quince Fisherman Turtleneck (M) // Dolce Vita Baylee (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Meet the Bella Stretch Wide Leg Jeans, our ‘70s-inspired style with an added stretch that fits just right. The curve-hugging high-rise cut and relaxed wide leg make this a versatile pair for dressing up or down.

  • Measurements: 10 1/2″ Front Rise, 30″ Inseam, 22 1/2″ Leg Opening
  • Material: 65% organic cotton, 18% recycled polyester, 10% viscose, 5% lycra, 2% polyester
  • Care: Machine wash cold with like colors. Tumble dry low inside out. Color may transfer. Medium iron if needed. Do not bleach.

MY THOUGHTS: This pair isn’t labeled a sweatpant jean, but honestly, it has that same ultra-soft, comfortable feel. While they don’t offer quite the structure of premium denim, the look is remarkably similar to the MOTHER Hustler Roller Sneak (it also comes in a 30″ inseam). If you’ve been eyeing that style, these are a great lower-priced alternative to try.

VERDICT: I may hold onto these. It really comes down to this pair or the Gap Factory version, since they’d fill a similar role in my closet. These would be perfect for casual, everyday wear, while my MOTHER pair still has its place when I want a bit more structure and polish.

Mongolian Cashmere Fisherman Turtleneck Sweater

at Quince (M) // Quince wide leg jeans (30/30) // Dolce Vita Baylee (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Coastal style gets cozy in our Mongolian Cashmere Fisherman Turtleneck Sweater. Crafted with a denser, more substantial knit, our Signature cashmere offers unmatched warmth and softness for cooler weather

  • Measurements:
  • Material: 100% Grade-A Mongolian cashmere
  • Care: Hand wash cold. Lay flat to dry. Iron at low temperature if needed. Do not bleach.

MY THOUGHTS: Yes, it’s late in the season for a chunky cashmere turtleneck… but with how cold it’s been, I couldn’t resist. This one is beautifully thick and cozy with a great ribbed texture and an easy relaxed fit. Size tip: I’d suggest going up a size. Quince knits often run a bit small.

VERDICT: Keeping. I’ll wear it a few more times and then tuck it away for next season, when I’m sure I’ll be glad to have it.

Sanctuary Sporty Openwork Popover

at EVEREVE (S) // Quince wide leg jeans (30/30) // Dolce Vita Baylee (8.5) // Stella & Dot pendant – 15% off with JOLYNNE15

PRODUCT DETAILS: Crafted from an open-knit cotton, this sporty popover by Sanctuary features a crew neckline, dropped shoulder, and varsity stripe details.

  • Measurements: Length from Shoulder to Hem: 23″
  • Material: 100% Cotton Knit
  • Care: Machine wash, wash cold, dry flat

MY THOUGHTS: This is such a fun open-knit pullover that feels right on trend. I love the sporty stripe detail, and the ivory/black color combo really appeals to my neutral-loving heart. It is see-through, though — I’d recommend wearing a cami underneath.

VERDICT: Keeping!

2025 Rollneck Sweater in Sheer Blue

c/o J.Crew (S) // MOTHER Lil Weekender (30P) c/o // Dolce Vita Rianne (8.5) // silver cuff

PRODUCT DETAILS: We made the roll of the neck very feminine while keeping the authenticity of the original sweater.

  • Oversized fit; size down for a more fitted look.
  • Body length: 22 1/2″.
  • Sleeve length: 30 1/2″.
  • Hits slightly below hip.

MY THOUGHTS: J.Crew just launched The Rollneck Remix, bringing back this classic style with an updated, more modern feel. They sent me a couple of the new versions to try, and I thought this light blue was such a pretty choice for the in-between season. I paired it here with white denim and silver flats to keep the look light and airy.

The sweater runs intentionally oversized, with a chunky knit and great contrast stitching at the cuffs and hem. It’s very much that effortless, slightly slouchy look that feels best with a little sleeve scrunch.

VERDICT: I’m holding onto this one, for sure, but I really love this other one they sent.

2025 Rollneck Cable-Knit Sweater in Hthr Carbon

c/o J.Crew (S) // Madewell The Jules (30) // Dolce Vita Notice (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS:

  • Relaxed fit.
  • Body length: 22″.
  • Hits below waist.

MY THOUGHTS: I absolutely love this cable-knit version. The drop shoulder sits low enough that it doesn’t add bulk — if anything, it softens my stronger shoulder line. And I’m always a sucker for a good charcoal grey. The texture and slouchy fit make this one feel relaxed and fun.

Despite the chunky look, it’s surprisingly lightweight. I wore this outside yesterday for photos, and the wind went right through it. All that to say, I think this will transition beautifully into spring. It’s cozy, but not so heavy that I won’t be able to wear it as the weather starts to warm up.

VERDICT: Keeping, for sure.

Perfect Cashmere Cable-Knit Cardigan in Evening Shadow

c/o J.Crew (M) // Quince wide leg jeans (30/30) // Dolce Vita Baylee (8.5) // COACH Chelsea Shoulder Bag

PRODUCT DETAILS: We’ve spent decades fine-tuning our collection, sourcing the softest, longest-lasting fibers and perfecting every detail from fit to fabric to color. And this new cardigan is no exception, with an easy-to-layer fit, twelve carefully placed buttons and a classic cable-knit texture all over. . . It’s perfect in our eyes.

  • Measurements: Body length: 20 3/4″
  • Material: 100% cashmere
  • Care: Hand wash

MY THOUGHTS: They also sent this gorgeous, classic sweater in a striking shade of blue, and I absolutely love it. The fabric feels incredibly soft and luxe, and it’s a timeless style I know I’ll get a lot of wear out of.

Here’s how it looks styled with the FRAME The Lax and Sam Edelman Saige Booties. I appreciate the generous sleeve length, and I also love how it looks with the sleeves pushed up and finished with a bold silver cuff bracelet.

VERDICT: Definitely keeping. It also looks great worn open over a white tank.

Caslon Crewneck Wool Blend Cardigan in Red Geranium

at Nordstrom (M) // FRAME The Lax (29) // Sam Edelman Saige Bootie (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Mini Shaker stitches lend a lightweight feel to this wool-blend cardigan that’s perfectly chic layered or on its own.

  • 70% merino wool, 30% acrylic
  • Hand wash, dry flat

MY THOUGHTS: This is such a pretty color, and I love the fine-gauge knit for heading into spring. The merino wool provides warmth while still feeling lightweight for transition season. It does gape a bit over the chest, so I’d wear a cami underneath. It’s also slightly longer than I typically prefer these days, but not a deal breaker.

VERDICT: I’m probably keeping this one. The color is gorgeous, and it’s exactly the kind of classic, elevated basic I’m feeling drawn to right now.

Elbow Sleeve Cardigan

at Nordstrom (S) // Quince Bella (30/30)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Pleats create the full sleeves that sweeten the style story of this versatile cardigan knit from soft cotton yarns warmed with a touch of fine merino wool.

  • Front button closure
  • Jewel neck
  • Elbow-length sleeves
  • 70% cotton, 30% merino wool
  • Machine wash, dry flat

MY THOUGHTS: If you like a puff sleeve, this sweater is darling — a word you’ll rarely hear me use! But this one really is very sweet. It’s just not my personal style, especially in pink.

That said, pink is trending, as are puff sleeves and shorter button-up cardigans, so this piece checks several trend boxes while still feeling classic and wearable. The cotton/wool blend is really nice, too.

VERDICT: I returned this one, but if it’s your style, it’s a good pick. It also comes in black and olive.

Dolce Vita Alenna Perf Slingback Pointed Toe Kitten Heel Pump

at Nordstrom (8.5) // Jenni Kayne

PRODUCT DETAILS: Breathable perforations and a high-cut topline add striking dimension to a pointy-toe pump featuring a supple suede upper and tapered kitten heel for a hint of height.

  • 1 3/4″ heel
  • Adjustable slingback strap with buckle closure
  • Leather upper/synthetic lining and sole

MY THOUGHTS: Such a great slingback for spring. The perforation, sleek topline, and pointy toe give them a very current feel. The kitten heel is perfectly walkable, and the heel strap is soft and comfortable. These look particularly chic with full-length jeans, where the toe just peeks out.

VERDICT: Love, keeping!

And that’s a wrap on this latest batch of try-ons! As always, I’m happy to answer any questions you have in the comments.

  1. Hi Jolynne
would you say the quince bella jeans are high rise at 10 1/2 inches?
they are describing them as high rise
    thanks 🙂

    1. Typically, high rise jeans are around 11-12″ and mid-rise jeans are in the 9-10″ range, so 10.5 is right in between. Whether they will feel mid or high on you depends on your body. Retailers can use whatever terms they want, so knowing the measurement you prefer is the best way to shop online and know what you’re getting. I hope that makes sense! You might like this post I wrote a while back about how to shop for jeans online.

  2. Thank you so much for trying the sweatpants jeans. I have thought about getting but seeing them on you I know they would be way too wide leg for me. I need to go check out J. Crew- such pretty things!

  3. Hi! The color and style of the j crew cable cardigan is really special! Out of all the black bottoms you’ve shown here the Frame pair is most flattering on you and seems most similar to what your traditional style has been. (I do realize things change and evolve😉 but traditional you has my heart)
I tried those sling backs too, love, but my narrow feet were moving everywhere in them and I was bummed to return. Lucky you that they work!
As far as the Miramar jeans, I want to give a heads up about the flare you mention trying. I tried them. They’re ponte fabric! Not the terry like most are. I hated them. They were slick and awful! lol. I do think you could find a Miramar that works, maybe more of a straight leg. I hadn’t thought about the tummy control or feeling supported in them; I see your point!
I’m so ready to move past “transition” and full into spring! Excited to start seeing those styles in your try on! Thanks for all these helpful posts!

    1. Oh, yes. I LOVE those Frame jeans. I feel like they have a more relaxed flare, which reads more modern than the Mother Weekenders, but still keeps that silhouette that I like best on me. They require a heel so I don’t wear them as much as I probably should. I should look for a white pair for spring.

Good to know about the Mirimar flares. I guess I just don’t feel like I need sweatpant jeans. I prefer more structure, and I can always wear my Vuori straight leg pants or Spanx AirEssentials when I just want to be comfy.

I’m ready for spring too but there is still 6 inches of snow on the ground here and it hasn’t been above freezing since before the holidays. I am WAY overdue for a trip to Florida. I usually go in February. (Tampa did NOT count, lol!)

  4. As cold as you have been with snow I’d think it would be harder for tradition this year. I love the Winter Quince sweater on you. We’ve been having warmer and sunnier weather than usual. I’ve been wanting to pull out my white tops but still feels too early. Starting to add more Spring into my main closet and yesterday took out my dark colors I won’t grab anymore like burgundy. The sweat pant denim is funny to me.

  5. I’ve been eyeing the Quince Bella jeans for a while now, how do the gap ones compare on structure? Which ones do you prefer? I have the gap barrel jeans and they’re very comfortable and stretchy(and a bit big for my usual size of 27). Are the Quince true to size? Should I go up if a 27 is a bit tight?

    1. I would say the Quince has more structure. They both run pretty true. I needed the 30 in both, which is probably my “true size” at this point. When I can fit in a 29, I feel like they run big.

  6. Two accessories stood out for me: Jenny Bird silver heart pendant is just what I’ve been looking for and that unexpectedly stylish Coach shoulder bag! All of a sudden I’m seeing Coach bags around again and this one is really cute. Thanks for the new try-ons! JCrew has some really nice things right now.
***You really need to plan a February trip to the west coast. ☀️😊

      1. One more question: What did you end up keeping from your recent Madewell order? I noticed you wearing the Jules straight leg and it made me wonder if you kept any of the sweaters. I sent back the sweaters I tried but kept the cute brioche suede bag.

          1. A couple weeks ago you did a post on new Madewell items you had ordered to try. I had also bought a couple sweaters, the Jules jean, and a suede bag you showed in your shopping links …was looking for those in your try-on. 😊

    1. Yes, the Coach bag is beautiful! I would LOVE to plan a February trip to the west coast. With St. Lucia next month, I decided not to go anywhere in February, but I am beginning to regret that decision, lol!

  7. I would like you to send me the post on sleeve choices ( dolman, puffed etc . It talked about where the seam needs to be on the shoulder 🤷‍♀️ thanks, Gwen

  8. That red geranium Caslon cardigan looks amazing on you! I’d call that a keep! Also love the J Crew evening shadow color for you. I would totally have purchased the puff elbow sleeve cardigan if it came in a color that flattered me. I’ll bookmark it in case Nordstrom offers more colors as the spring merchandise rolls in. 🙂

  9. I just received the Rag & Bone Miramar wide-leg jeans from Nordstrom. I like them, but I worry they’ll be too baggy once I wear them a bit. I’m 8/10, so I ordered the M but I just reordered it in a small and ordered a straight-leg version as well. This may be a case of liking the idea of a sweatshirt-fabric jean more than the actual item, but I’ll see. I tried the wide-leg on with both a close-fitting tee and tank top, and I liked the look. I could see myself wearing them this summer when jeans are too heavy.

  10. Just wondering your thoughts on the Quince jeans? I ordered the Bella relaxed straight leg and when they arrived they were more wide leg and ran ran small ( in my opinion) I’m a true size 4/6 in denim but I could barely get the size 28(6) on..
Is it just me? Maybe they aren’t a denim that jives with my body 😂

  11. Those J. Crew rollneck sweaters are gorgeous! The ice blue and dark grey look beautiful with your coloring.

Thank you for showing the Gap Factory version of the Miramar jeans. Rag & Bone is not in my budget except on eBay, but I’ve been eyeing them because we usually do a lot of driving in the spring and I’d love a comfortable jean that still passes for jeans rather than sweats when we stop at a diner or an antique shop. Going to check them out.

  12. Question about the Benny Cropped trench: I noticed you sized up to medium for this jacket. How do you feel about it? I usually go up one size from you, but I’m afraid the large will be bulky.

I’ve had my eye on this one since I first saw it on the website – so cute!

    1. Yeah, it’s one of those that I feel like you can go either way, depending on what you want to wear under it and how you like it to feel. I didn’t try the small. I just ordered the medium because everything is kind of snug on me these days, but I could’ve maybe sized down.
