I would love to know what you got for Christmas! Do you ask for certain things or do you get surprised?
Oh, I’m sure the WORST person to shop for. Paul and my mom usually ask me for ideas, and I often throw out hints during the year. Becca surprised me with the cookbook for The Lost Kitchen, b/c she knows I’m obsessed with that show. David got me a novel by one of my favorite authors (who he introduced me to last Christmas) and Caroline got me a reusable grocery bag that crams into a teeny tiny carrying bag. I will have to find out where she got it and link it. It’s awesome b/c I’m always forgetting my bags, but this one will fit in even my smallest purse.
My mom got me a beautiful alpaca scarf (a surprise) and Soma pajamas (which I mentioned to her when they went on sale, plus she and I both love them so she knew they were a thing.) She also did a gift card for the both of us to one of our favorite restaurants.
Paul went into Williams Sonoma and got me new dish towels and oven mitts, which I really need, and I love the ones he picked. He also got me a robe and pajamas and some other odds and ends. He usually picks out some designer jewelry, or one year he gave me Jimmy Choo pumps, which was a total surprise. I had mentioned them when we were wandering through the mall. This year he gave me a beautiful watch. So yeah, I definitely got spoiled this year!
Do you have a workout room at home with “pro” gym-type equipment? Are those resistance bands good for underarm skin toning exercises targeting (ugghh!) back/bra fat beneath the shoulder blades? I just want something for (flabby, lol) upper arm-area toning *without* the “Hulk-y” results of lifting weights(!). Grey camo pants are a nice changeup from black all the time (and I think, also: if you’re over a certain age and don’t like the “loud” prints meant for twentysomethings as your gym fashion option — grey camo fits the bill nicely as modern/flattering/and cute).
