Good morning! I’m sitting here in a plane on the tarmac at the Philadelphia airport waiting for our captain to arrive. Gotta love air travel these days. At least we have good weather, so once he gets here, we should be on our way. I’m using this opportunity to write this post, since I didn’t have a chance before I left the house at o’dark thirty.
I’m on my way to Nashville for a blogger retreat. It’s a small group, and we’re staying in an Airbnb so it should be a great opportunity to “talk shop” and reconnect since we haven’t had many of these opportunities since Covid.
Fall arrived rather abruptly this week here in Philly, so I wasn’t sure how to pack for this trip. It’s such an awkward time of year to dress for, and I like to have options. It looks like it’s still pretty warm in Nashville, so I went with a lot of short sleeves and just brought a jacket and cardigan in case the evenings are chilly.
Anyway! It looks like Nordstrom is doing a Triple Points Event, and Madewell opened up their Insiders Event to all levels, so there are some good deals to be had on denim and fall clothing, if you’ve been holding off to shop until the weather changes.
I try to keep these Sunday Coffee Talks more personal and less salesy, so I hope you don’t mind if I share a few shopping recommendations.

Quick question: is the Lyle rib henley sweater from today’s post a cool green? Same with the Magaschoni cashmere v-neck from the 9/23 post…is it a cool green? They both read cool on my monitor, but I realize that may not be accurate. I’m looking for a mid tone, cool green sweater…most roll into olive tones.

The Madewell definitely is. Not as sure about the one from Nordstrom Rack, but I think so.

They arrived yesterday and I just opened the box and didn’t try them on yet. I did notice they have a lot of cushion in the footbed. I like the color way too.
I really like the Madewell green sweater on you. I just ordered it, but it looks different on the website (hopefully it fits me like it does on you. I’ve been stalking the Madewell website for restocks of those vintage flare jeans but the “Talls” have been sold out for a while.
