It is September! School is back in session and mama’s feeling footloose and fancy free!
Unfortunately, mama has been really lax with her picture taking this week. But here’s what I’ve got.
I wore this super casual outfit hanging around the house on Saturday and over to a friend’s house for drinks that evening. This gray and pink striped, ribbed tee from the Gap is usually a layering piece, but it was so hot, I wore it on its own with my favorite cuffed Joe’s denim shorts (a 6pm.com purchase) and striped flips from Target.
I wore this outfit to church on Sunday. It was a rainy day, and even though it wasn’t that cold out, I felt like layering. I chose this light-weight silver cardi and decided to pair it with a black tank. Rather than go for the predictable blue jeans, I decided that the red jeans would create a more interesting outfit. Then I went for silver ballet flats to balance out the silver in the sweater. I chose this long chain-link silver necklace for a trendy accessory, and before I left the house I added a silver bracelet too.
This is what I wore to the soggy Springsteen concert on Labor Day. We were fortunate, and the rain held off, but I went prepared for the worst. I just wore a simple black tank, my jean shorts, and my Privos in case my feet got stepped on, as we were standing in an open field all evening. And of course I wore my rain jacket. I did throw on a fun necklace — this was a gift from my dear friend Lisa at Studio Jewel.
I wore a couple of other cute outfits this week, but I just didn’t get around to taking pictures. I’ll try to do better next week!
How about you? What are you wearing during this transition period?? I actually have a post on transitioning your wardrobe from summer to fall posting on Friday over at Family Your Way. You’ll have to check it out!
