Summer Fashion: Date Night in Pastels
I put this outfit together last week for my birthday dinner and our evening at Longwood Gardens, and I love it so much I thought it deserved a dedicated post.
I ordered the embellished tank top on a whim from White House Black Market a while back, and I even put together a “flat lay” outfit for my Instagram, but I never had a chance to wear it till last week. The star-like embellishments, vented sides, and slightly high-low hem make this tank a little extra special. I love that it can work for day or night.
I’m finally getting with the program and using LIKEtoKNOW.it. I ordered this embellished top from @whbm and it arrived today. I couldn’t resist putting an outfit together. Can’t wait for the opportunity to wear it. I think a casual date night is in my future. Like this post to have shopping links emailed to you. @liketoknow.it www.liketk.it/1t7vV #liketkit
By the way, if you’re an Instagram fan, I’ve started using LIKEtoKNOW.it as a way of providing links to the products in my fashion posts. Since Instagram doesn’t allow hyperlinks, this is a great way to get my outfit details. They come in email so you can check them out at your convenience. For sneak peeks of my daily outfits, follow me on Instagram and sign up for LIKEtoKNOW.it here. It only emails you the details on the Instagram posts where you click the heart.
This time, rather than pairing the top with blue jeans, I wore my mint skinnies. Actually, I can never decide if should call these mint green or light blue. The color is called “Beach House” for what it’s worth. They’re no longer available in that color, but I did find a similar pair here.
I bought this whole stack of textured bangles at Francesa’s a few years ago. They were super cheap, and I LOVE THEM. I wear them a lot when I’m dressing up.
When I was accessorizing this outfit, I first tried to layer some of my gold bracelets, but I will say it straight out. I love the look of “arm candy” and layering bracelets, but I feel like such a dunce at it. I often revert to this big stack of thin textured bangles when I want a statement on my wrist, but I don’t want it to look like I emptied my jewelry box out onto my arm. Haha! What can I say, it works for me. Unfortunately I don’t have a link to them, and I haven’t really found anything like them. The closest I can come up with are these textured bangles, and you would need to buy several sets to get the same look. If you ever DO see a set like this, snatch them up. I promise, you will thank me!!
Finally, I’m excited to tell you that the Lexi Bucket in Cuoio is now back in stock. I LOVE this color. It’s such a great neutral for summer, but it should carry me well into fall. It’s still on sale for $250, marked down from $375. Definitely an investment, but it’s such a quality bag. I know I’ll carry it for years.
