Early Spring Outfit & Evereve Sale

Okay, so I know it’s ridiculous to style an “early spring outfit” in January, but I couldn’t call this anything else, and I wanted to be sure to get these pictures up before this jacket sells out.

jacket c/o (S) // tank c/o (S) // jeans c/o (28) // shoes c/o (7.5) // similar tote // necklace // bracelet

And mark my words, this jacket will sell out. All of the Marrakech jackets at Evereve sell out within the first few weeks, and it’s on sale today, so grab one of you like it. The 10% off sale is only good through Monday, and it applies to all the key pieces I’m wearing in this post.

This jacket has that subtle moto vibe that I love, but the soft fabric makes it more versatile than a suede or leather jacket. It also comes in this “natural” color, but I chose the charcoal, which I also like a lot.

In case you missed it, I shared this outfit in yesterday’s Try On Haul. I mentioned that this jacket isn’t lined, but the material is so nice and soft, and it probably wouldn’t have such a good drape if it was lined. Definitely not a deal breaker, but I wanted to give you a heads-up because I know some people are particular about that.

Underneath, I’m wearing this Michael Stars tank. I love the quality on this tank, it’s nice and thick and not at all see-through, and it has a lot of stretch. The straps are bra-friendly, and the trim around the neckline gives it a more finished look. This is the Stucco color, but it also comes in white and a myriad of other colors.

I wore the tank untucked, even though it’s more modern to wear a fitted top tucked into high rise jeans. I did try that in yesterday’s Try-On Haul, if you want to see it. It looked okay in pictures, but I felt a little paunchy. Maybe I just need to get used to the look. The jacket and tank run true to size; I have the small in both.

So let’s talk about these jeans. To be honest, I thought I was going to hate them. I figured they would be too rigid and wide, but they actually have a really good modern look about them without being too voluminous.

They’re 98% cotton/2% elastane, so there’s just enough stretch to allow them to mold to your body, but they still have the structure of traditional denim. And the 27″ inseam with 14″ leg opening is straight enough to look current without adding visual weight. The rear pocket placement is good too.

They have a 11 1/2″ rise with a button fly, and they fit very snug in my waist/belly area, but I’m hoping they will loosen up some with wear. I don’t think they would look as flattering through the legs in the next size up.

I tend to carry a little extra weight in my belly area these days, so it might not be an issue for most women. If you have the problem where jeans are often too big in the waist, these could be a good option for you.

These stacked block heel sandals really do scream spring, but when I saw them, I knew I had to add them to my closet… even if it’s still January and 15 degrees here in Philly right now.

It is literally 14 degrees. I just looked at my weather app. Yoiks! Glad we shot this outfit a few days ago when we were having a warm spell… if you can consider 35 degrees a warm spell, ha!

Anyway! These shoes are extremely comfortable, and this light sand color is a great neutral for spring. I like the blond wood on the stacked heel, the soft pebbled leather, and the subtle contrasting trim around the base of the sole.

They run true to size for slides and mules; I sized down to the 7.5, but if you have higher arches or wider feet, go with your regular shoe size.

My necklace is old, but I think it really adds to the overall look. I tend to err on the side of minimalism with my jewelry, but adding at least one statement piece really ramps up the look.

Layered necklaces are really in right now; this one is a good option, if you like gold. I usually pair my layered necklaces with simple studs or hoops. This earring pack is a good one to have.

I really like the overall proportions of this outfit, and I think it will be a really great look when the weather warms up!

  1. Love this outfit! Nice to think ahead to spring. Today it feels line -16 degrees Celsius so that’s just a -2 for you guys! Cold, blowing snow and just down right winter! The storm rolled in last night with lots of freezing rain than snow..,
I’d love to see evereve ship to us Canadians!
    Enjoy your Saturday 😀

  2. On the fence between the Millie and Bailey sweaters in pink, love them both. Love how you styled the moto jacket outfit.

  3. The links to the jacket, doesn’t show it comes in “natural” color too. Must be sold out already. I just can’t wear charcoal. It doesn’t look good on me at all. When I choose “Greys”, I go really light. I love this look on you, but never would have thought about wearing the light colored shoes with the charcoal. It really does look good for early Spring. I LOVE the sandals, but the heel is just too high for me and I know I wouldn’t grab them for my casual everyday Spring/Summer. I always love the new style sandals that come out and wish they’d do a shorter version. I had this very sandal style back in the day in black and it was one of my favorites. I hated to throw them out and I remember when I did, I said, “someday the big, block heel, sandal mule will be back in. LOL I do have this same style but shorter heel in cognac, closed toe with block heel and I wore them a lot already. Sorry for the lose, as you mentioned the funeral. Sounds really cold there. We are now warmer than usual and the sun is suppose to be out today.

  4. The jeans look good on you! Cute outfit. Although if it’s cold enough to wear a jacket, I’d be too chilly in just a tank top underneath. I tend to layer for our weather (because it’s cold in the morning but warmer in the afternoon)and when I start to get warm I’d take off the jacket but I’d feel uncomfortable having just the tank on at work (especially with how pale I am this time of year). Is that just me? Or does everyone wear tank tops under jackets?

      1. I think I must be an exception. Regardless, it’s a very cute outfit and definitely wearable in my climate zone right now. 😊

  5. I loved your adulting comment – it’s a pain sometimes, huh??

I love the Moto jacket, the black skinnies & burgundy heels- although I’ve given up heels a long time ago.

I’m on day 6 of recouping from Covid. Gracious it’s been a rough experience. But I do feel better today…and I’m counting on feeling better every day!!

    Have a great day!!

  6. cute outfit …. would have loved a “wear now” look along with the spring-ish look…. like with a loafer or bootie for winter …. we have so much more winter ahead of us, our windchill was 8 this morning ! ugh !

  7. Love everything about this outfit, Jo-Lynne! I live in non-leather/suede jackets that have the structure of jackets but the comfort of a cardigan. The shape of the jeans look amazing on you too! I hope you are right about this type of sandals coming into style this year – your feet certainly have a lot more to hold onto than in slides.
