Refresh Your End-of-Summer Wardrobe

This post is sponsored by Gap Factory and ShopStyle Collective. Thank you for supporting the retailers that support this site!

At this point in the season, I’m starting to get tired of my summer wardrobe, and I find myself looking to add a few new pieces to the rotation.

If you’re also in the mood for a summer wardrobe refresh, today is the last day of Friends and Family at Gap Factory. They’re doing 50% off everything + extra 10% off for Rewards Members (it’s free to join) and they have some cute pieces at really good prices.

This tiered v-neck dress was a happy surprise. I don’t usually wear ruffles, but with the flattering v-neckline and dolman sleeves, somehow it works!

The tropical floral print is really fun for summer, but I’m partial to the solid black. It’s chic and understated, and I also appreciate that it’s 100% cotton.

I also like how you can see the subtle crinkle texture in the solid versions. (It comes in solid fuchsia and a blue tie dye, as well.)

This dress runs true to size, but if you’re tall or long-waisted, you may need to size up for length in the bodice.

I ordered another dress that I like a lot, too, especially for those who need work wear. This v-neck dress in the navy dot print is made of a smooth rayon weave, and it has a nice drape.

It also comes in several other prints, and it runs true to size. I’m wearing the small, for reference.

This v-neck top is another great work wear piece. I wore it here with denim shorts, but it would also look great with white pants or jeans.

It has dropped shoulders, short sleeves with banded cuffs, and vents at the hem. It also runs true to size, or you could probably size down if in between.

Then for a more casual vibe, I love their ForeverSoft Scoop Neck T-Shirt. It makes a nice easy tee for throwing on with jean shorts, and you can layer it under a jacket or cardigan when the weather cools down.

It’s really soft and on the thicker side, which I like, and the seam up the back is a nice detail. This tee comes in tons of colors, and it runs small. I sized up to a medium in this one.

I’m also wearing the Gap Factory 6″ High Rise Destructed Cheeky Midi Denim Shorts. They have a 6″ inseam, and I like the destructed details.

These shorts run TTS, or size up if in between. I’m wearing the 28, but they’re pretty snug in the waist; I’d be more comfortable in the 29.

And at the last minute, I added this ForeverSoft Tank Top in bird of paradise red to my Gap Factory order.

I really like the cool slub texture the way it fits around the arms, and the higher neck offers good sun protection. I never think to apply sunscreen to my chest when I put it on my fact in the mornings, but I really should.

This tank top comes in a bunch of colors, and it runs true to size. The small fits perfectly.

  5. Great post, as usual. I too am tired of my Summer attire but think I need to hold off and just order things for Fall. Thanks for all your hard work. Your post are the best.

  6. What do you suggest wearing as a third piece over a balloon sleeve slip over sweater. The sleeves seem very full to wear under a denim jacket.
