Happy Monday, friends! We’re in the home stretch! It’s Day 21 of 23 Days of Spring Fashion, and I’m talking about how I level up my favorite denim for a night out with friends.

My favorite way to level up my jeans for spring is with a feminine blouse and a pair of high-heeled sandals. This ruffle sleeve floral blouse is the CeCe brand from Nordstrom.

I like the button-front and the shape of the v-neck, and the short sleeves are a little longer than average, with a ruffle edge detail. They’re especially nice for those who like a little extra arm coverage. It comes in a blue or pink poppy print, and it runs true to size.

I paired this floral blouse with my AGOLDE Sophie high waist crop skinny jeans. The wash is on the darker end of the denim spectrum, but they have some whiskering and fading that gives them a more lived-in look. They’re also very stretchy and comfortable, and they run true to size. I have the 28.

And you’ve seen these sandals several times already. They’re so comfortable, and I love the braided straps and trendy square toe. They’re TTS, or size down if in between.

My leather hobo is from Banana Republic, and I find myself carrying it a lot these days. It’s such a soft, supple leather, and I love the slouchy silhouette.

To complete the look, I added a white denim jacket. This one is Kut from the Kloth, and I’ve had it for several years.

It’s lightweight and has a good amount of stretch, so it’s very comfortable if you want to keep it on inside. I recommend sizing up in this jacket. I have the medium.

Because the jacket has silver hardware, I went with primarily silver accessories — brushed silver teardrop earrings, a compass pendant, and a mixed metal filigree cuff.

I like to dress up my jeans with heels and a feminine blouse when I’m going out with Paul or meeting a group of girlfriends for lunch. I would also wear this to church, as ours is very casual and I don’t mind wearing jeans from time to time.

Of course, black or white jeans are another option when you want a slightly dressier vibe, but sometimes it’s fun to dress up your favorite bluejeans. There’s a pleasing tension between the dressier components and the more rugged denim that never gets old.
