Greetings from the great state of Maine, and happy 4th of July to my fellow Americans!
We arrived here at the lake yesterday around lunchtime and wasted no time seeking out one of our favorite restaurants (Union River Lobster Pot in Ellsworth, for anyone planning a Down East vacation in the near future) where we feasted on clam chowder and boiled lobster.
I actually cheated and got the Lazy Lobster dinner — they actually shell it for you and serve it in a sherry/butter sauce. SO GOOD. But the girls each got a whole lobster and had a blast cracking into them and fishing meat out of the shells. My husband got some cute pictures but I haven’t had a chance to upload them yet.
After dinner, Paul took the girls out for a boat ride. I was nervous to go because of my recent bout with vertigo, but maybe I’ll give it a try later on this week.
This morning we got up early to shoot my 4th of July outfit. I found these pinwheels in the garden and had to make use of one. Ha! Everything I’m wearing is on a mega sale.
Have a safe and happy 4th of July!
