Hi friends! I’ve got a new try-on haul for you today with a mix of late-summer styles and a few early fall pieces. I popped into the mall with a friend last weekend and snapped some photos in the EVEREVE fitting room, and the rest are from recent orders from Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, and Frank & Eileen. Let’s dive in!

EVEREVE Fitting Room Try-Ons
KUT from the Kloth Holly W Drawstring
at EVEREVE (6) // PAIGE Syrie Top (M) // Loeffler Randall Dana sandals (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: A drawstring waist detail defines these jeans by Kut from the Kloth, featuring stretch cotton denim, a mid-rise waist, and a wide-leg silhouette with a full-length inseam.
- Fit: 10 1/2″ Rise; 31″ Inseam; 23″ Leg Opening
- Material: 98% Cotton, 2% Spandex Denim
- Care: Machine Wash, Wash Cold, Tumble Dry Low
MY THOUGHTS: You may have seen these in my post about the shoelace drawstring denim trend, but I had to share them here too. I spotted them at EVEREVE last weekend and instantly fell in love. The shoelace drawstring detail adds such a fun, casual touch—though apparently, I’m one of the few who feels that way! 🤪 (I was honestly surprised by the lack of excitement for these, but that’s okay. I’ll still wear and enjoy them!)

I also really like the fit. They hit the wide-leg trend (or as my husband calls them, “floppy pants”) without feeling too wide or overwhelming, and the length is perfect for flats. The wash is spot-on, the fabric is soft and comfortable, and the price point is very reasonable. KUT from the Kloth has really stepped up their game in recent years. I’m impressed!
VERDICT: I bought these! I’ve already worn them once.

Z Supply Long Weekends Tank
at EVEREVE (M) // KUT Holly jeans (6) // Splendid Ruth Mary Jane (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: This versatile ribbed tank top by Z Supply will be your new go-to, featuring a scoop neckline and wide bra-friendly straps.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 22″
- 48% Rayon, 29% Polyester, 19% Nylon, 4% Spandex Rib Knit
- Machine Wash Delicate, Tumble Dry Low
MY THOUGHTS: I was instantly drawn to this ribbed tank in the dark brown—or as they call it, Espresso Martini. Yes, please! It’s similar to the PAIGE sweater tank I wore into the store, but this one feels a little more casual.
I love the combination of the scoop neck and wider straps; it really flatters the neckline and draws the eye upward. The fabric is a great weight, too (not too thin, but still soft and comfortable). I think it’s going to be such a versatile piece to wear through these last weeks of summer.
VERDICT: I bought this too!

Spendid Footwear Ruth Mary Jane
at EVEREVE (8) // PAIGE Anessa (29)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Rich chocolate suede and a breathable cutout design define these stylish Mary Jane ballet flats by Splendid Footwear, topped with an adjustable buckle strap.
- Adjustable Buckle
- Heel Height: 0.3″
- Suede Upper, Rubber Outsole
MY THOUGHTS: I’m definitely having a moment with chocolate brown lately! These caught my eye even though I don’t usually gravitate toward Mary Janes, but the cutout design feels fresh and fun. I also love how they work to “bookend” a look with a brown top (I have several in my closet). Plus, they feel like the perfect transitional shoe for fall—great for those in-between days when it’s too cool for sandals but not quite time for boots.
VERDICT: These came home with me too!

cloth and stone Trim Detail Button Back Tank
at EVEREVE (S) // Pistola Lennon (30) // Kaanas Alayta Square Toe Naked Sandals (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: This adorable tank by Cloth & Stone will be your new go-to for all your summer events, featuring crochet trim details, back button closures, and a relaxed silhouette.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 23″
- 88% Tencel, 12% Linen Woven
- Machine Wash, Tumble Dry Low, Do Not Bleach
MY THOUGHTS: I knew I’d love this top as soon as I spotted it on the rack—cloth & stone rarely lets me down, and this was no exception! Their pieces always feel classic yet current, with thoughtful details that set them apart.

In this case, it’s the contrasting button-up back and delicate crochet trim. The black Tencel/linen blend is lightweight and crisp, perfect for summer, and the boxy fit works well untucked with jeans or shorts.
VERDICT: Keeping! I wore it to church on Sunday with white flares.

EVEREVE Kellen Seamed Banded Tee
at EVEREVE (S) // PAIGE Anessa (29)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Elevate your everyday tee collection with the Kellen striped crewneck tee by EVEREVE, finished in Pima cotton slub fabric with short sleeves, exposed seam details, and banding at the hem and cuffs.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 22″
- 100% Pima Cotton Slub Jersey
- Machine Cold, Tumble Dry Low
MY THOUGHTS: I was really tempted by this one. I love the color palette, the soft slub fabric, and the sporty vibe. The banded waistband also has a relaxed fit, so it doesn’t cling to the hips and falls nicely, but the drop shoulder gave me pause. It’s one of my style pet peeves because of the way it tends to add visual bulk through the shoulders and chest (although this one isn’t as bad as some).
VERDICT: I almost bought it, but since I found so many other cute pieces that day, I decided to pass.

Z Supply Callie V Neck Airy Top
at EVEREVE (S) // Pistola Lennon (30) // Kaanas Alayta (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Finished in airy, textured cotton, the Callie sleeveless top by Z Supply is perfect for your summer rotation, featuring a relaxed silhouette, cropped length, and gathering at the neckline.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 21 1/2″
- 100% Cotton Woven
- Machine Wash, Hang To Dry, Do Not Iron
MY THOUGHTS: This top is really cute, and I love that it’s 100% cotton, but it didn’t feel like anything special. It feels like something I’ve had before.
VERDICT: I left this one in the store.

Z Supply Escape Sweatshirt
at EVEREVE (S) // Pistola Lennon (30) // Kaanas Alayta (8)

MY THOUGHTS: This top is cute. The color is pretty, and the fabric is incredibly soft, but the loose, oversized style isn’t the most flattering on me.
VERDICT: I didn’t bring it home.

Splendid Destiny Jacket
at EVEREVE (S) // Z Supply Long Weekends Tank (M) // Pistola Lennon (30) // Kaanas Alayta (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: The Destiny Jacket by Splendid will be your go-to spring layer, finished in a lyocell-cotton blend with a cropped fit, notched collar, and snap closures.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 20″
- 62% Lyocell, 36% Cotton, 3% Elastane
- Machine Wash, Wash Cold, Dry Flat
MY THOUGHTS: This is a cute jacket, but it has a drop sleeve—and you know how I feel about that! It’s also a little too wide and short in a way that feels slightly off-balance. It’s not a bad piece overall, but it just didn’t speak to me.

VERDICT: Needless to say, this one did not come home with me either!

Michael Stars Ester Stripe Polo Top
at EVEREVE (S) // Pistola Lennon (30) // Kaanas Alayta (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Simple yet chic, the Ester Stripe Polo Top by Michael Stars features a split neckline, a sleeveless silhouette, and finished in sporty stripes.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 23″
- 95% Viscose, 5% Spandex Knit
- Machine Wash, Wash Cold, Tumble Dry Low
MY THOUGHTS: I thought this top was fun and a little different, but the fit felt off around the arms. I do love the sporty-meets-preppy vibe with the modern muscle tee silhouette, though. I’ll be keeping an eye out for something similar that fits a little better.

VERDICT: I also passed on this one.

And that’s it for the EVEREVE fitting room try-ons! Next up, some more #NSale finds…
New Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Finds
Wit & Wisdom Bennett ‘Ab’ Solution Bootcut Jeans
at Nordstrom (6) // Quince cashmere tee (L) // Veronica Beard Kelby boots (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Rock retro style in slim-fitting bootcut jeans featuring a superhigh waist, comfy stretch and ‘Ab’solution powermesh panels that mold and hold.
- 28″ inseam; 17″ leg opening; 11 1/2″ front rise (size 8)
- 71% cotton, 21% polyester, 7% rayon, 1% spandex
- Machine wash, tumble dry
MY THOUGHTS: These jeans are a great under-$100 option if you’re looking for a pair of washed black denim. The ankle bootcut silhouette is trending for fall, and they have a really nice fit and feel. The fabric is a little rougher compared to higher-end brands, but overall, they seem like a solid value for the price.

Here’s how they look with flats…

VERDICT: I’ll probably pass on these since I already have two pairs of black jeans I love, but they’re definitely a great option if you’re looking for an affordable pair.

Vince Raglan Sleeve Wool & Cashmere Crewneck Sweater
at Nordstrom (M) // MOTHER Outsider Flood (29) // Veronica Beard Kelby boots (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Consider this your new happy place—roomy raglan sleeves and a cloud-like wool-cashmere blend bring all-day comfort with a side of timeless appeal.
- Ribbed cuffs and hem
- 90% wool, 10% cashmere
- Hand wash, dry flat
MY THOUGHTS: I bypassed this at first when browsing the #NSale, but after seeing another influencer make it look so good, I decided to give it a try. She recommended sizing up one or even two sizes for a slouchier fit, so I ordered the medium.

I do appreciate the raglan sleeves, and the quality feels nice, but I have to say, I miss the 100% cashmere Vince sweaters of yore! I’m also not a fan of the neckline, and the sleeves look a little sloppy on me. A small would likely be too short, so I think this one just isn’t for me.
VERDICT: I’m sending this back. I’d rather pay full price for something I like better… or grab another Jenni Kayne Flynn while they’re on sale!

Veronica Beard Ames Bootie
at Nordstrom (8.5) // MOTHER Outsider (29)

PRODUCT DETAILS: An angular stacked heel enhances the Western-informed design of this versatile bootie made in an almond-toe silhouette from velvety-soft suede.
- 2″ heel
- 5 1/4″ shaft
- Side zip closure
- Leather upper and lining/rubber sole
MY THOUGHTS: I have (and love) a very similar pair of Veronica Beard booties from last year’s #NSale, so I ordered these to compare and report back. This pair is very nice, but I think I liked last year’s version a little better—they felt slightly more casual, had a bit more room in the toe box, and maybe even a softer leather.

That said, my old pair did start to show wear and tear sooner than I’d have liked. I would’ve considered keeping these if I loved them as much, but I think I’ll give it another season and see what I find next year.
VERDICT: These are still worth trying if you’re looking for a pair like this—especially if you don’t need extra room in the toe box.

FRAME The Icon High Waist Flare
at Nordstrom (29) // Vince sweater (M) // Veronica Beard Ames (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Steal the show in these vintage-inspired, full-length flare jeans cut from superstretchy denim in an everyday dark wash.
- 31″ inseam; 22″ leg opening; 10″ front rise
- Zip fly with button closure
- Five-pocket style
- 90% cotton, 6% elasterell-p, 4% elastane
- Machine wash, dry flat
MY THOUGHTS: If the MOTHER Weekender didn’t work out for you (or you couldn’t snag your size), this pair of FRAME flares is an excellent alternative. Honestly, I might even like them better because of the finished hem. The wash is beautiful, and the fabric is soft, stretchy, and so comfortable.

VERDICT: I’m still debating these. I have so many blue jeans in my closet right now that I either need to do a little editing or stop buying more… we’ll see how that goes, haha!

Barbour Hebrides Longline Waterproof Jacket with Removable Hood
at Nordstrom (6 US) // rag & bone sweater tank (M) // MOTHER The Weekend Fray (31) // Aquatalia Roza Weatherproof Sock Bootie (9)

PRODUCT DETAILS: A detachable hood means you’re ready to brave whatever the weather has in store in this waterproof jacket refined with a longline silhouette and elegant faux-horn buttons.
- 37 1/2″ length
- Front zip closure with button storm placket
- Spread collar; removable hood
- Front flap pockets
- Waterproof
- Lined
- 75% cotton, 25% polyamide with 100% polyurethane contrast
- Machine wash, line dry
MY THOUGHTS: This is such a nice coat, with that signature Barbour quality. I love the oversized fit, longer length, and thoughtful details like the plaid lining in the hood and the large contrasting buttons. It comes in three colors—Light Sand, Winter Moss, and this Dark Navy. I went with the navy for something a little different, and I’m thinking it could be a great option for Scotland in September.

That said, it does feel rather bulky to pack. I was assuming I’d wear something sportier in Iceland and planned to bring my lululemon Rain Rebel Jacket for Scotland or for times when I want something more elevated… but this Barbour is really speaking to me! I’m just not sure how practical it will be for travel.
Fit Tip: It runs very big—the US size 6 is plenty roomy.
VERDICT: I’m debating this one.

Bernardo Long Rain Coat
at Nordstrom (S) // AllSaints sweater (M) // MOTHER The Weekend Fray (31) // Aquatalia Roza Weatherproof Sock Bootie (9)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Take on gray skies in golden style with this longline raincoat fashioned with roomy raglan sleeves, luxe goldtone hardware and a spacious removable hood.
- Front zip closure with snap storm placket
- Spread collar with removable drawstring hood
- Belted cuffs
- Front welt pockets
- Lined
- 100% recycled polyester
- Machine wash, tumble dry
MY THOUGHTS: This is another great trench-style raincoat option from the #NSale, and it’s at a really good price point. It doesn’t specify that it’s waterproof, but the slight sheen suggests it’s at least water-repellent. I like the faux leather trim on the snap placket and the raglan sleeves—nice little details that make it feel more elevated. Plus, it’s fully stocked right now!
VERDICT: I don’t need this one, but it’s a solid option if you’re in the market for a trench-style raincoat.

Caslon Cotton Stretch Twill Swing Coat
at Nordstrom (S) // AllSaints Anna Tee (M) // MOTHER Outsider (29) // Steve Madden Dorothea boots (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Ties at the elasticized cuffs take this stretch-twill swing jacket from grab-and-go afterthought to statement accessory with the bonus benefit of warmth and pockets.
- Front button closure
- Stand collar
- Elasticized tie cuffs
- Side welt pockets
- 98% cotton, 2% spandex
- Machine wash, tumble dry
MY THOUGHTS: I’ve talked about this jacket quite a bit already—at least on Instagram and Substack—but I don’t think I’ve shared it here yet. It’s such a cute piece, and I love the color options. The swing style gives it a relaxed feel without being too voluminous.

The details are lovely too—the slash pockets, contrasting buttons, and subtle gathers in the back. My only caveat is the little knots on the cuffs; they feel like a bit of overkill. I’m wondering if I can remove them.
VERDICT: I’m planning to keep this one! It’ll be perfect for our Pennsylvania fall.

Michael Kors Short Leather Jacket
at Nordstrom (S) // MOTHER Outsider (29) // Steve Madden Dorothea boots (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Smooth, buttery-soft leather emphasizes the impeccable craftsmanship of this season-spanning jacket boasting a boxy, ’90s-inspired silhouette.
- Front button closure
- Spread collar
- Front welt pockets
- Lined
- Leather
MY THOUGHTS: I was so impressed with the quality of this button-up leather jacket, and I really love the styling. It doesn’t fall neatly into one category (moto, bomber, or blazer), but it has a classic feel that I don’t think will look dated anytime soon. I haven’t seen anything else quite like it, so even though I don’t need another black leather jacket, I’m very tempted!

VERDICT: I’m holding onto this one for now and also ordered the medium to compare. The small fits perfectly over a tee, but I may want a little extra room for layering over a sweater.

Rails Alma Cotton Blend Jacket
at Nordstrom (S) // old Vince top // MOTHER Hustler Roller Skimp // Matisse McCarthy Mule

PRODUCT DETAILS: Oversized patch pockets lend utility-inspired style to this cotton-enriched twill jacket featuring a button-up closure and drawstring hem.
- 20 1/2″ length (size Medium)
- Front button closure
- Band collar
- Button cuffs
- Front patch pockets
- Drawstring hem
- 53% cotton, 47% lyocell
- Machine wash, tumble dry
MY THOUGHTS: I had this jacket last year and was so excited to see it back in this year’s #NSale, so I pulled up this old picture to show you. It’s such a cute piece with the collarless design that’s trending right now, and the quality is really nice too.is nice, too.
VERDICT: Already have it! It makes a great transition piece for fall.

rag & bone Betty Crop Trench Coat
at Nordstrom (S) // KUT from the Kloth Holly (6) // Kaanas Alayta (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: The wardrobe-essential trench is revamped with this season-spanning cotton version upgraded in a boxy, cropped silhouette.
- 21 1/2″ length
- Double-breasted button closure
- Front welt pockets
- Fully Lined
- 100% cotton
- Machine wash, line dry
MY THOUGHTS: I had high hopes for this cropped trench, which is part of the #NSale, but the fit was a letdown. It’s a little too wide through the body and doesn’t lay nicely. Plus, it’s verrrry pricey for what it is—even on sale. Honestly, if I’m going to spend that much, I’d rather just pay a little more and splurge on a Burberry!
If you’re looking for something similar, there’s a great option at Aritzia for about half the price.
VERDICT: Honestly, I’m relieved this one didn’t work out. I’ll be happy to see that $460 refunded to my card!

A Few More Random Summer Styles
Frank & Eileen West Village NYC Wide Leg Trouser
at Frank & Eileen (8) // AllSaints Anna tee (M) // Dolce Vita Dallen sandals (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Co-created for House of Frank & Eileen by the one and only Julianne Moore, West Village wraps Julianne’s signature NYC style into one outrageously cool trouser jean. Functional, flattering, and just a little bit edgy with a wide hem and elongating front crease, this must-have style dresses up or down in a New York minute.
- Finished block hem
- Zip fly with hook-and-bar closure
- Mid-rise, wide-leg fit with center crease
- Front slant pockets and back welt pockets
- 31″ Inseam; 10.5″ Front Rise; 24″ Leg Opening
- 81% Cotton, 11% Lyocell, 6% EME, 2% Elastane
- Machine wash on cold with like colors and tumble dry on low or hang dry.
MY THOUGHTS: I didn’t “luck out” quite so much here… and by that, I mean I do love these spendy jeans! To my knowledge, they’re Frank & Eileen’s first full-length style—though still not super long for my tall girls. But hey, it’s progress!
Personally, I love the length because they work perfectly for me with flats, which feels like the ideal pairing. Even though they’re more elevated than the KUT from the Kloth Holly with the shoelace drawstring waist, they still have a laid-back vibe that pairs beautifully with a minimalist flat sandal.

The wash is gorgeous, the fabric is lightweight and soft, and the fit is spot-on. I also love the finished block hem, hook-and-bar closure, and center crease—such thoughtful details that make these stand out.
VERDICT: Even with the daunting price point, I decided to keep these. They’re classic enough that I can wear them for years, so I’m hoping the cost per wear will balance out over time.

Frank & Eileen Mini Cory Muscle Dress
at Frank & Eileen (8) // Dolce Vita Dallen sandals (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Just like her older, longer sibling Cory, the Mini Cory is a relaxed fit dress that’s just the right amount of boxy and drapes loosely across the body. Our signature raw-edge hem, ribbed crew neck, and muscle tee-style cap sleeves add a vintage California feel to this wearable, everyday piece.
- Hand-cut, curved raw hem and edges
- Ribbed crew neck
- Cap sleeves
- Pullover design with no closure
- 36″ length from shoulder to hem (size S)
MY THOUGHTS: I really thought I was going to love this dress, but it feels like it needs a little more shape through the waist or some kind of definition. I much prefer the fit of the EVEREVE Nora Muscle Dress—it’s more flattering on me.

VERDICT: They’re probably too similar to justify having both anyway, so I sent this one back.

T Tahari Tonya Pleated Sleeveless V-Neck Sheath
at Bloomingdales (10) // Loeffler Randall Triana Dune Leather Mid−Heel Sandal

PRODUCT DETAILS: A timeless office-to-out staple, T Tahari’s curve-contouring dress is a smart style investment, and the sleeveless silhouette means you can easily layer without added bulk.
- V-neck, pleated shoulders, sleeveless
- Concealed back zip with hook-and-eye closure, lined
- Approx. 39″ from back of neck to hem
- Polyester/rayon/elastane
- Hand wash or dry clean
MY THOUGHTS: This was kind of a random purchase. I spotted it on sale at Bloomingdale’s and remembered having it a few years ago in black. I always liked it back then. It’s definitely on the more conservative side, so I didn’t wear it a ton, but it’s a great piece to have on hand for funerals or other occasions that call for something classic and understated.

I passed mine along when it got too small, so this time I ordered both the 8 and the 10 to try. The 8 wouldn’t even go over my hips, so the 10 it is! It feels a little roomy through the bust, but the structure is so nice and it’s incredibly flattering.
VERDICT: I’m on the fence with this one. I don’t really need it, so I’ll probably end up sending it back, especially since the fit isn’t quite perfect. That said, it’s a great option to have if you’re looking for something classic and conservative.

Just to reiterate-lol, I like the drawstring look! I like how you styled it with a brown top–very cute, I will try that! You mentioned how flowy tops and tees don’t work for you–and I’m the same way! They just make me look top heavy or something and I’m not. I need things more tailored as well, because I’m not tall. And that black button up leather jacket–ugh–its still calling my name. It has the look of the 90s and will be a classic. I did some shoe damage today buying 2 pairs in Von Mauers shoe sale room–so I need to pace myself on that jacket! But its awesome–love it.
It’s really good! But I hear ya. Gotta pace out the shopping… lol!
Great post! I like the drawstring Kut pants! Maybe others would like them more if the drawstring was a darker color-similar to the denim color? lol?
LOL well that could be cute too, but it wouldn’t have quite the same vibe. I like the lighter color for contrast. 😊
Great try in haul, I like the drawstring style, I bought some Free People low slung drawstring shorts for vacation, I know you’re not a fan of low/mid rise but I look absolutely ridiculous in high rise jeans even with a cropped top, so I just stick to what works for me. And love the Mary Jane’s, I have them in black, may have to get the brown!
Knowing what works best for you is key! I noticed the low slung styles are back in, especially for more trend-driven looks. The KUT pair is a mid rise, which I like for this style since I will always tuck to expose the tie.
Can’t wait for my shoelace jeans to arrive. I was shocked by all the comments about them. Love the gray Mother’s, they were on my wish list, but sold out. Love the navy dress on you. Thanks for post.
Yeah, I know some things are not everyone’s cuppa tea, but I like these so much, I just thought everyone would, lol! It’s all good, though. Keeps things interesting!
My favorite part of this whole post was when you said “oh well, I’ll still wear them and enjoy them!” That is a perfect summary of my fashion philosophy these days! I like the drawstring pants too, although I’d probably be more likely to wear a cropped version.
Absolutely. I think every woman should wear and enjoy wearing what we like. (And never feel pressured to wear something we don’t like, either.)
Not a fan of the “shoestring” or any other front ties: they accent one of my least favorite body parts (that dratted tummy). Side zippers and pull ups are my friends! That said, they look cute on you 🙂
I get that! 🙂
Great haul! Lots of good and flattering finds! LOVE LOVE LOVE the F&E jeans! I have them and they’re just as wonderful as you say they are! They’ve done full length before – I have a pair of their full length wide legged jeans – it’s a light shade and raw hem. Super comfy, but a little thicker material. They were only available for a hot second last spring before they were gone. Also loving the Kut from Kloth jeans – they look great on you! I’m tempted to try them..but I have so many jeans already 🤦♀️ but then again…how many jeans is too many??? I grabbed the Vince sweater in blue – sized up like another blogger had but it was too large on me. Unfortunately my size is out of stock – fingers crossed for a restock.
Interesting about the F&E jeans. And also that you also didn’t care for the Vince sweater. I was seriously disappointed in their offerings this year. But I’m in no mood to think about winter sweaters, so it’s just as well. I like the two PAIGE sweater vests I got, and that Nordstrom v-neck one is fun too.
I’ve had a pair of jeans with the shoelace closure, but they did nothing to camouflage my over 60 pudgy tummy. A luxury of fashion is that all of us don’t have to like the same thing. Surprisingly, I am keeping everything I ordered from the NAS, except for the duplicates.
Absolutely! It would be boring if we all liked the same things. Glad you did so well at the NAS!
I think this may be the pink shirt at evereve you tried on
Z supply Escape Sweatshirt
This style is not usually flattering on me either but I love the color and sometimes just like wearing baggy loose fitting tops
That’s it! Thank you!
First let me just say that I wish Evereve shipped to Canada . I love so many of the pieces that you have styled today. Secondly, since following you, I’ve learned not to just settle when trying something on just because I am in need of something.
I make sure that I am 100% happy with how it looks, how it feels and that it compliments my body type!
Thirdly I’m glad you styled the Bennett absolution jeans as I ordered some from the Nordstrom sale in the blue and I’m currently waiting on them to arrive and now I’m almost 100% sure I’ve ordered the right sizing! I ordered Petite.
I agree with you–I don’t settle! If I don’t love something, or at least REALLY like it, I don’t buy it. It’s saved me lots of money, and the bonus is that I love all of my stuff!
I love that!
So glad the Bennett jeans worked for you!
When I saw the TTahari dress on you I had to chuckle. I bought that dress after seeing the original on you back in the day. And like you I just gave it up due to changing body.
But darn that dress still looks great doesn’t it???
Oh and just a PS. My wedding dress and the dress. I wore as MOG.were donated as well
Oh, that’s funny!!! It’s kind of crazy how long it’s been around.
I like the Kut drawstring pants. How do you like the Kut drawstring skirt? I’m sorry if I missed your commentary on that one. What do you think the odds are that the N Sale Wacoal sports bras will be restocked? Thanks!
I love the skirt! Maybe more than the jeans.
Not sure about the bra.
I bought that pink top at Evereve today. Love! It’s my vibe and I couldn’t pass up the pink color. Now I wish I’d tried on the Kut drawstring jeans! I did finally try on some barrel jeans and I’m on the fence; I think they’re adorable but I’m wondering if I’d get a good cost-per wear.
It’s always hard to know with a trend like that, but the are probably more versatile than it seems at first. I would go through your closet and figure out how many ways you can wear them.
Hi Jo Lynne,
I loved the drawstring jeans. It just suits my lifestyle these days and I would wear it quite often. I have never seen this style until you showed them.. It sort of reminds me of my hippie days back in the 70’s . I would love a pair of them in golden yellow . Sigh!!! Maybe too strange for this 76 year old. Haha!! Love your fashions, you show us and I buy when I can , but am trying my best to be selective these days , although I will probably buy these jeans because I feel like I will wear them a lot.
Oh, I think yellow would be so fun for summer.
Just bought some wide leg drawstring jeans after seeing your post. Love them! Flying Monkey brand. Very comfortable and cool.
Oh, good to know another option!
Did you already own the grey Mother Outsider Floods? Or did I miss a review? They are one of the only NAS pieces I kept. I love when Mother does flood versions…perfect on 5’4” me.
I reviewed them in my #NSale Fitting Room Try-On Haul. 🙂 I love them!
I agree with you Jo-Lynne–if the drawstring was a different color–it would lose the whole vibe. Also, I agree with the other poster–maybe I like them also because they remind me of the 70s–a bit boho, hippie(:
Hello! Such great pieces!!!
Love the Alma Rails black jacket! I’m usually a small but sometimes I like to size up just for extra room/length.
What are your thoughts on size med or do you feel the small is good fit? Could a medium work or would you say stick with thr small?
It looks great on you!
I feel like the small is plenty big.
I agree with other comments. I’m learning not to settle also. So the cute Caslon jacket was a no for me. Those knots on the sleeves would drive me crazy! Let us know if you figure out how to remove them. A jacket like that is perfect for Houston often into November. The hook and bar closures on pants never seem to lie flat. That fabric poking out makes me self conscious. Like others, I don’t need to draw attention to my midsection these days. Definitely prefer a button closure.
Jo-Lynne, these try on hauls and your explanations are so helpful. They help me figure out why I like some things and don’t like others…what I can compromise on and what is a deal breaker for me. That knowledge is power and makes shopping more fun and gives me more confidence in the outfits I wear. Thank you!
So happy to hear that!
