It’s going to be hard to top yesterday! Thanks for all the kind comments. I guess I should wear dresses more often!!
Today’s outfit is super similar to the one I posted last week with the striped 3/4 sleeve tee from LOFT. I didn’t even realize it until I went to edit pictures and realized I’d put almost the same outfit together again! I guess I know what I like, right?
This shirt has a similar cut to the LOFT one, but I like the V-neckline better. It’s nice quality, but thin. They call it a sweatshirt, but it seems more t-shirt like to me. Whatever you call it, I like it! I’ve already worn it 3 or 4 times!
This is the perfect top for spring and for cooler summer days or cool summer vacation destinations. I go to Maine every summer, so I’m always thinking ahead to that and save out some of my spring tops to bring along.
Here’s a back view.
For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
I decided to go with silver jewelry for a change, so I threw on this casual Silpada Duomo Necklace and my D Yurman Oval Link Bracelet. The bracelet was a gift from my husband quite a few years ago, and it’s still one of my favorites. It’s substantial enough to stand alone, and it also makes a great layering piece. It seems to go with everything.
I carried my grey satchel. This bag is long gone, so I linked to a few similar styles below. I also really like this R Minkoff Screw Stud Bucket Bag in Putty that is on sale for $202. If I didn’t already have one of her bucket bags, I’d be all over that. (Word to the wise: it is unlined, which means no cell phone pockets, etc.)
I wore my Hudson Krista cropped skinnies and Converse, but this top would be cute with white jeans as well. For shoes, I would also consider ballet flats or wedge sandals or flat sandals… the possibilities are endless!
Also, the Hudson Krista are full price (I explained before that I got mine on a super deal, like half price, but now I can only find them on Amazon for full price) but Holli commented and said that the Hudson Nico are very similar, and she loves hers. They’re marked down to $112 on Amazon, which is still pricey, but MUCH better than $189.
On chillier days when I have to go somewhere, I throw my Fatigue Jacket on over this outfit. I like the contrast of the olive green against the tomato-red of the top.
Outfit Details:
Caslon Striped V-Neck Sweatshirt $48
jeans: Hudson Krista Crop $189 (or try Nico for $112)
bag: old (similar HERE $336 OR try the Sole Society Kelley for $54)
Hinge Fatigue Jacket: Olive Tarmac $88 (or try THIS ONE for $59)
sneakers: Converse Shoreline $49
bracelet: D Yurman

Super cute, casual and comfy! It’s amazing how much a vneck flatters you vs other types of neck lines – I find that to make such a huge difference on myself as well!
I always go for the v-necks also. They are super flattering. You look comfy and still put together, and you can’t ask for anything better than that. I finally broke down and bought me some gray converse. You are a bad influence on me. Haha
Yet another great outfit! I love the color of the top. And looks great with the utility jacket. Hmmm, I’m rethinking my outfit for this morning. There is a trip to Loft on my itinerary for the day! I was in love with those Chuck Taylor’s, but they were just too narrow. However, I was able to find a pair of white Keds with sort of a nautical trim that came in wide, that had a nice look to them. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s outfit!
Very flattering look!
Jo-Lynne, I really like the top and agree how flattering the vneck is. I like seeing that the color of our shoes and handbag don’t have to match.
Have a blessed day!
So cute and perfect for everyday life.
I love striped shirts. Gorgeous bag-great color. I love neutral purses that go with everything! I wear my utility jacket all the time since I got it. 😉 xx-S
Very cute. The top looks so comfy and as you said it would be perfect for cooler days. I like the way it is a little lower in the back than the front. Great look! – Amy
Well due to your wonderful influence I just purchased this in blue. I am obsessed with stripes right now. I love how you styled this with the jacket and luckily I have the same style too. I am so glad I found your blog as well as Cyndi’s.
Very cute! I love any top with stripes. You look polished and comfy. 🙂
Like this casual, yet pulled together look. Think I need to buy those converse.
Cute and comfy! The cargo jacket looks great with it, too!!
Great outfit! Always look forward to your posts????
Very cute and really loving the stripes. Definitely something I would wear. I’m in a major stripe kick right now! Really love it with the jacket too. I never would’ve guessed how versatile they can be. I find myself reaching for mine all the time!
This casual outfit looks cute and comfy. I like how you blend the colors from your top, jeggings and jacket.
I also like how you combine sneakers with outfits, and yes the sockless look makes it more chic style.
Do you prefer to wear sneakers sockless ?, I think that is the way to look more trendy nowadays?
Keep it up.
Yeah, I feel like these sneakers look funny with socks, but then, I’ve never been one to wear socks unless I have to. 🙂
