I searched high and low to find an Easter dress for today’s post. I grew up dressing to the nines on Easter Sunday, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve shifted the focus of Easter fashion to the kids. I typically debut my white jeans for spring and pull a cute top from the back of my closet and call it a day, but this year I decided to get myself an Easter dress.
Our church is fairly casual, so I didn’t want anything too fussy. I also wanted something versatile enough to wear to some of the events I have coming up this spring.
This dress is so, so, so comfortable. It is rare that I feel this comfortable in a dress, but this one is stretchy and molds to the body without being clingy. It doesn’t ride up or stretch out or pull or tug anywhere. I simply love how it feels on!
The twist at the side helps define the waist, and the shades of blue are flattering on almost any skin tone. The length is perfect too. It hits right at the middle of the knee. For size reference, I’m 5’5″ and wearing a Medium in the Regular sizes.
I’m not a huge fan of the floral trend; I feel it ages me, but I do like this playful dot pattern.
These Nic+Zoe dresses are all available in Regular and Petite sizes, and you can wash them on gentle and lay them flat to dry, so that’s another bonus — no dry cleaning necessary!
I’m really excited to have discovered this brand. The price point is a bit on the high side, but when I find a dress that fits this well and is this flattering and comfortable, I’m willing to spend a bit more.
Here’s a look at the back.
I kept the shoes and accessories simple with nude pumps and my white twist-lock shoulder bag with the gold chain. Then I added gold hoops and a gold cuff bracelet. I tried on a few necklaces but decided the print of the dress is busy enough without complicating matters.

You look beautiful in this, and I like how you let the dress stand out by not over accessorizing (not that you ever do!). It’s nice how you point these things out to us. I really love the floral option too, especially the colors. It is a bit on the spendy side, but not obscenely high in my opinion considering the brand.
You look fantastic in that dress!!! That blue is your color. I love that you kept everything else very simple and let the dress shine. It fits you to a T. I will be checking out Nic and Zoe dresses on line today.
Jo-Lynne, This is a Grand Slam! The dress is beautiful and you look so nice in it. I bet you could easily dress it down as well.
Have a blessed day!
Wow, you look amazone!!
Sorry, my tablet corrects every word that is not written in Dutch.
Wow, you look amazing!!
Beautiful dress! It’s hard to find a perfect dress IMO, and it’s worth the investment when you do. The twist shape is flattering, and the print is fresh and pretty. I also think it’s versatile. I can see this dress going a lot of different places.
I love your nude heels – so fashionable and they don’t compete with the dress. This outfit is a home run!
This dress looks fabulous on you – and you have accessorized perfectly! Thanks for the tips.
I love the side twist dress on you! It looks fabulous, and the color is perfect for you. I see we both went for “dots” this Easter, now I can’t wait to see what Cyndi has chosen. Thanks for letting me join you ladies, it has been an honor.
That dress looks fantastic on you!!!
Thanks, girl! xo
That dress is perfect on you! I love it and also that floral is cute too! I’ll be going to Nordstrom to check out those dresses. Need one for a bridal shower in April!
It would be perfect for that!
Beautiful dress. Looks great on you.
Really nice!
I like everything about this dress. It is one of the most beautiful things I have seen you wear AND you look fabulous in it. I love the color, it looks like spring, you look pretty, and it fits your body great.
Wow, Fonda, thank you!!!! xo
I’m a huge fan of comfortable, stretchy dresses- good choice! I wore a dress almost every day last year for 6 months through spring and summer. Personally, I love the “Sunday Best” tradition and am sad that churches have gotten so causal. I always dress up as one way to set Sunday apart as a day of worship and try to keep my kids out of jeans. My hubby is one of the few at our church who still wears a tie. Yep, we are pretty old school, we love hymns and miss the pews! LOL.
I agree. It has taken me 10 years of worshipping in a gymnasium to slowwwwwly evolve into wearing more casual clothing on Sundays. I used to always wear dress pants or a dress, but over time, it seemed silly to keep a whole wardrobe for church when no one else was dressing up that much. I do miss pews, but we do still sing hymns, though! 🙂
That dress looks fantastic on you. Good choice in color, style and accessories!
Thanks, Lin!
That ruching detail around the waistline is immensely flattering, Jo-Lynne, I worship anything which flattens as it defines, and it certainly does that for the figure. I’m personally more of a pants sort of woman BUT I do try to wear dresses when it’s church/Easter/Christmas although I’ve left it very late this year, and have absolutely no idea what to wear!!
p/s isn’t Tania lovely? She was our most recent 50s blogger for Project Sister Act and she really brought it xoxo
I’m with you on the pants. For some reason, I generally find dresses uncomfortable. Tania is a doll!
What a fabulous dress and it fits perfectly. I am not fond of florals either and this print is just right.
Right!?! It’s almost floral, but not. 🙂
You look fantastic in that dress! Great choice!
Thank you, Debbie! 🙂
Homerun! I love your style and always look forward to your posts.
Thanks, Leslie!
You look Great! These dresses could be worn to various occasions. I also like Petal Showers dress. The summer always holds Graduations, Weddings, and Bridal showers just to name a few. I like to have a go to dress Blessings
Yes! It would be perfect for all of the above!
Home Run Jo-Lynne. I just discovered Nic & Zoe last year at Nordstrom’s and am a fan also. Hopefully I can get some things at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in June as the price points are a bit high!! The color, print and style are perfect for you. I love that you went minimalistic on the jewelry and nude pumps…perfect!
Thanks! This is the same brand as that blouse I posted earlier in the week that wasn’t quite a home run. 🙂 I do like their prints a lot.
wowza!! This style dress was made for you Jo-Lynne! I’m thinking you need more like this!!

Yes!! I actually do have a couple others that are similar, but this is by far my favorite color/pattern.
You look gorgeous! This dress was meant for you. It hits just at the right place at the knee. I love the print, it’s pretty, yet understated. You are the epitome of class, and elegance.
Aw, shucks. Y’all sure are good for a gal’s self esteem!
You look stunning in this dress! A keeper for sure. It was made for you. I love how your accessorized it, perfectly!
Thanks, Gina!
I love the dress. It is so cute! But I’d probably need a sweater with it. I do like the nude pumps.
I was thinking that I’ll need a sweater if I wear it on Easter. I may just throw a jean jacket over it. 🙂
You look amazing!! This dress was worth the hunt, it looks like it was made especially for you!!
Aww, thanks! xo
One of my favorites of your posts, color is great and the fit seems perfect.
Thanks, Kathy! 🙂
Your dress really compliments your figure. Love it! I like the way you accessorized it, as well. This is one dress that you’ll get a lot of wear out of it. It’s your version of the LBD. You could even dress it down with a jean jacket and sandals.
Yes! I was thinking that too!
I love the waist detail.
I know you struggle with dresses, but, I think you’ve found a good one!
That’s a very pretty dress, and it looks great on you. When we were little, we would really dress up for Easter- new dresses, hats, and white gloves. I had 2 sisters, and we always loved it. Now I do like to have a dress for Easter, but don’t dress up that much 🙂
Love the dress on you. Looking good for Easter.
Hey Jo-Lynne—I know I already commented, but I was just thinking that if ever in the future you & Cyndi wanted another collaborator (like Tania for this post)—I’d love, love, love to be involved!
And did I thank you for the camera lens tip? I ended up getting a 50 mm one (less expensive) and it seems good. Maybe when I’m as famous as you are, then I’ll spring for the 85 mm one—ha ha!! jodie

Beautiful dress! I love that it is simple but looks super elegant too.

Thank you!!! I can’t wait to wear it. 🙂
