You all know by now that shorts and t-shirts are pretty much my summer uniform, and I don’t mind spending a bit more since I wear them so much. But I’ve had some requests for more budget-friendly versions, so I ordered a bunch of summer basics from Gap Factory to try, where almost everything is 40-70% off plus an extra 10% off your purchase through July 28th!
A white t-shirt is a workhorse in my summer wardrobe, so I like to have a few. This ForeverSoft V-Neck T-Shirt is made of a soft slub jersey knit, and it has a relaxed fit.
This is a good one for those who want some arm coverage, and I like the way they trimmed out the v-neck. It makes it look a little more polished.
This tee comes in a myriad of of bold and pastel colors, and I also ordered the purple rose verbena. Isn’t this such a gorgeous color? I love how it contrasts with the blue jeans. It runs true to size, or you could size down for a closer fit.
Denim shorts are another summer wardrobe staple I live in, and these Destructed Cheeky Midi Denim Shorts are right on trend. They have a high rise and a 6″ inseam and a versatile medium indigo wash with some light fading and whiskering.
I like how they have some destructed details without looking like I’m trying to wear my daughter’s jean shorts.
These shorts are true to size, or size up if in between. I ordered the 28 and the 29, and I intended to keep the 29, but when I got to our photo shoot, I had brought the 28. Ooops! They fit fine, but they’re a bit snug in the waist.
If you like a more fitted tee, I recommend trying the Favorite Crewneck T-Shirt. It’s made of a modal blend, so it’s soft and stretchy and very comfortable, and I prefer the sleeves on this one because they’re a bit shorter and cut closer to the arms.
This tee definitely runs smaller than the ForeverSoft V-Neck. I have the small, but I could use a medium.
I also threw this simple baseball hat into my cart. I like how it gives this classic, casual look a sporty vibe.
And these flip flops found their way into my cart as well. I love the tone on tone leopard print, and they’re perfect for wearing outside by the pool.
I also grabbed this Ribbed High Neck Tank in two colors. Fortunately, I had the forethought to order both the small and medium because I need the medium.
This peppercorn color is really pretty, and I also got the pink city. I like how it’s cut around the arms, not too low, but it would look better with a racerback bra.
I used to shop Gap Factory at our local outlet mall all the time, but I rarely get over there anymore, so I’m glad to see they’re online. They have a great balance of quality and value, and a large selection of wardrobe staples for the whole family.
