Greetings, friends! Happy hump day. Do people still say that? Today I’m back in my comfort zone with a summer date night outfit featuring white jeans, wedge sandals, and a floral top. File this one in the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” category.
I’m obsessed with the colors in this top; I just think it is so beautiful. Unfortunately, it’s low inventory. Womp… womp…
The good news is, they make this same top in several other color ways, but if you’re as smitten with this one as I am, it’s slim pickin’s.
For size reference, I’m wearing the small.
White jeans seemed like the obvious pairing for this top, although if you have the right shade of pink or yellow, that would be a fun combo and a little unexpected.
These are my Paige Verdugo ankle skinnies. I’ve worn my Madewell pair a lot lately so I thought I’d bring these back into the mix. I still like the fit of these the best, but they’re hard to find these days, and the Madewell pair is great for those who like a higher rise.
I’ve shared these Stuart Weitzman espadrille wedges a few times, and I particularly love how they coordinate with this top.
They’re definitely a splurge, but as y’all know, I love this brand and usually grab a pair of his sandals each season. They’re on sale at Shopbop and Zappo’s, and Caslon has a similar pair for less if you’re interested in that.
I accessorized this summer date night outfit with some of my go-to jewelry favorites — a Stella & Dot cuff bracelet, brushed gold teardrop earrings, and two Gorjana necklaces.
My leather hobo is a subtle shade of blush that goes perfectly with my shoes, but it’s a few years old. I’ve been linking to this Nordstrom one as a similar style, but the pink is sold out. The ivory cloud is a nice neutral, though, and there’s also this Tory Burch hobo in the Devon Sand.
I just love this muted color palette for spring and summer. This outfit could be work wear for some, but it’s a look I’m more likely to wear to church or out to dinner with my husband.
Paul and I go out to eat quite often, and I like to level up my look for him, even if it’s just to a casual bar and grille type of joint. This summer date night outfit is perfect for that.
Outfit Details:
LOFT blouse (other colors) // Paige Verdugo ankle skinnies (crop version) // Stuart Weitzman espadrilles (similar for less) // similar handbags here and here (less expensive here) // cuff bracelet // earrings // star necklace // similar pendant

I love the top. What size are you wearing.
Thanks!
Oooops, sorry about that! It’s a small. 🙂 I’ll add that to the post.
This is my kind of outfit. I don’t have to go into work much in the summer as I can work from home. When I do have to go into work, this would be perfect, and I have similar items in my closet (and perfect for a date night, but we tend to stay home and eat around the pool instead of going out.)
What a pretty outfit, especially the colors in the top! Babysitting over many years growing up, provided me with enough to buy my first car, a 56 Chevy. I know Becca and her friends will have fun. Enjoy having the laughter, etc., of the teenage girls around today!
Love the top and this outfit!
I love that top, it looks so summery and fresh with white jeans. I’m heading to Loft today and am hoping they have it in the store so I can try on. Thanks Jo-Lynne, enjoy hump-day!
The colours in that top are gorgeous! An easy breezy summer look. Thanks!
Hi love this easy casual style….
Have this very similar outfit packed in
my suitcase for Bali trip tomm!!
The colors in the top are so pretty and look nice on you. I would wear something like this. Not sure if you are growing your hair longer ? But it looks really nice in that pic:)
Very cute blouse ,you look great! I wanted to ask your opinion on something. My birthday is coming up on the 26th of this month and going to purchase a new designer bag for the first time for my big day. My question is what color to purchase. What would be your go to color black or brown?
I always advise people to go with a taupe or cognac – it’s more versatile than brown or black, I think. What bag are you looking at? Happy birthday!!!
Louis Vuitton or a Coach shoulder bag. Still undecided on what brand since I normally never pay more then $150 for a bag. Lol This is a big step for me. It does make more sense to buy something that will be more versatile. Thanks Jo- Lynne for your in-put and birthday wishes.😀
Very fun! I do love my LV but Coach won’t put quite as large a dent in the old wallet. 🙂 I would say the LV is the exception to the taupe/cognac rule. The mono print and the damier ebene are more brown, but they go with just about everything. Of course they do have solid leather bags in lighter neutrals but those prices are way up there. Coach makes a gorgeous leather bag that will last many years as well, so you can’t go wrong with either!
