This is the 5th and final post in my summer 2023 fashion trends series! I can’t believe I’m saying it, but the #NSale Preview launches in less than two weeks, and while I’ll still be sharing lots of summer outfits, we will soon be looking ahead to what’s on the horizon for fall fashion.
I’ve always loved a graphic tee for summer, but recently I’ve been noticing more graphic tank tops in the mainstream retail stores. They have the same relaxed casual vibe as the t-shirts, but the tank tops look extra summery and laid-back to me.

A graphic tank is perfect for pairing with shorts, jeans, and denim skirts; and I’ve worn this CHASER Sunset Rays Tank all three ways. It looks really cute with white denim shorts, as seen here.
These shorts are soft and stretchy and comfortable, and they’re such a nice length. I recommend sizing down in these; I have the 6.
I wore brown slide sandals to keep the look polished, and I added large rattan earrings for a summery touch. I’ve had these earrings for years, and I like to pull them out in the summertime to amp up my more simple looks, but I kind of like how they work with this graphic tank.
I’ve shared this Coach leather tote a few times, but I don’t think I’ve showed you the zipper pouch that comes with it. Isn’t it cute?
A detachable zipper pouch like this is such a nice addition to a large bag. You can use it to secure important essentials inside the tote when traveling, or carry it as a wallet or clutch when running into the store so you don’t have to lug the whole bag.
This tank is cute with white shorts, but I usually wear it with denim shorts, and the KUT from the Kloth Porkchop Shorts are my favorites this year. I’m beginning to move away from the raw hems that I’ve worn for so long. The finished hems look more polished and modern to my eye.
This time, I went with simple diamond stud earrings and sneakers to keep the outfit super casual and relaxed.

And I’ve also worn this tank with a denim skirt. I think this outfit creates a really nice juxtaposition of ultra-casual (the tank) and dressed-up casual (the skirt) – I couldn’t figure out a better way to differentiate them! They’re both casual, but in totally different ways, ya know?
Also, I know a lot of ladies don’t care for this skirt length, but it looks fresh and modern to me, and I like it.

I can’t believe I haven’t worn this tank yet with jeans, but it would be so cute with white crop flares or any of my blue jeans.
And I know a lot of ladies our age don’t like their arms, but you can always throw a denim jacket on top of any of these looks, if you want some coverage. It just wouldn’t have the same summery vibe, but it all depends on the look you’re going for.
For your shopping inspiration, I rounded up some more graphic tanks, as well as some tees for those who prefer!

It’s been 100 degrees here and summer has just begun. I can’t even think of fall fashion till October. I bought black linen shorts from Old Navy. They’re a longer inseam which is fine for my old legs. They feel so much cooler than denim. Even if they get looser I still like them.
I love a graphic tee and have always worn them with jeans and shorts. So glad they are easier to find right now. I do not like the heavy-weight ones though so have ended up ordering and sending several back. I finally broke down and ordered the Chaser Sunset Rays from Evereve.
It’s such a nice weight, isn’t it!?
