Hello, friends! Welcome back to 22 Days of Summer Fashion, where Cyndi at Grace + Beauty and I are bringing you a new summer outfit every weekday for the month of June! Today I’m styling studded gladiator sandals and my new LOFT Lace Ladder Tee.
Gladiator sandals have been on trend for quite a while, but I was never a huge fan. It’s a look I’ve admired on others, but I never found a pair I loved enough to take the plunge — until now!
I’ve had several R Minkoff bags, but I’ve never had any of her shoes until now. These will definitely not be my last! Her Georgina Studded Gladiator Sandals are stunning, and the leather is super soft.
The leather straps are super soft and supple and didn’t require a breaking-in period, and I love the leather footbed and the studded detail. It makes them look a bit classier than most gladiator styes, and the studded detail is a huge trend right now.
These are the Sand Leather, but I almost wish I’d gotten the Gold because most of my jewelry is gold, and I think they would go with more. I’m also a huge fan of the Blush. I’m sure I’ll get a ton of wear out of them, no matter what the color.
I styled them with this teal linen tee and my white distressed crop jeans, but they’re also perfect with jean shorts. I actually wore them with my cuffed jean shorts and a grey tee after they came in the mail on Saturday, and I like the way they dress up that casual look and give it a bit of an edgy vibe.
This is the Ladder Lace Tee from LOFT. I was drawn to the subtle lace detail around the sleeves. It’s one of those linen blend tees that LOFT is doing a lot this season, and I’m so glad to see one with a straight hemline. I’m kind of over the shirttail hem.
I washed it before I wore it for this shoot so it would fit the way it is going to fit long-term. So many times I photograph clothing when it’s fresh from the store, and the proportions change a bit after it’s washed. This way you can see what it will look like after it’s been washed.
These tops do tend to shrink some, so I always get a medium. I love that they don’t need to be ironed and don’t wrinkle too much but have the comfort and breathability of linen.
These are my favorite distressed white jeans. I love the way they are ripped without big gaping holes, and they are nice and thick and soft. You will want to size up in these. I have the 30 in these jeans, and I normally wear a 29.
Since the shoes have silver studs, I wanted to accessorize with silver. I had to dig deep into my jewelry armoire to find this necklace — it’s actually part of one of those 3-in-1 type of necklaces.
I’m only wearing one of the two pieces because I didn’t want too much bling to overpower the lace detail on the tee, but I did want a long pendant style necklace to elongate the upper body, especially since the neckline of the top isn’t as open as I typically like. I think it all works together nicely.
I did the front-tuck and wore an old snakeskin belt. I really need to update my belts! I’m loving this outfit for summer — the combination of bright teal and white is sublime, and the sandals take it up a notch or three!

I love this outfit, Jo-Lynne!! I’d totally wear this (well, I don’t actually have distressed white jeans, but otherwise, I’d wear it–ha ha)
I just bought a pair of gladiators also and I feel very hip in them–funny, huh?

Love this outfit…..you look super cute! I’m going to head to Loft today to try to get that top….love the teal color, and you can’t beat the price!
Thank you for the description of the clothing and why you picked different accessories. It helps to pick like items at home or visualize things. You do a great job! I love this outfit.
Thanks, Christine. Glad it’s helpful!
One of my favorite looks from you! I wish I would’ve seen this a week ago when I made a Loft order. I had considered the top but it seemed much more plain on the website. It’s totally different on you in this outfit. And…I’m still trying to figure out how I managed to pass on those sandals last night! Regrets!
Love this – the teal and white is so summery, plus the great shoes! 😉
It looks like the sand color on the sandals is the only pair with contrasting studs. Am I seeing that correctly? Very good price for these. The whole outfit and accessories looks great!
That outfit looks perfect on you! I looove the sandals!
Love, love, love this outfit on you! The colors are perfect, and the teal color looks stunning on you. I absolutely love those sandals. 🙂
This outfit looks great on you! I appreciate your comments about how the fabric performs after washing. I’ve seen a lot of linen and linen blends this year. I wondered how they would look and fit after washing. Good info!
Yeah, I’ve been pleased. They do tend to shrink a bit more than a cotton top, but they are a nice material, breathable, and if you don’t mind laying flat to dry, they don’t need an iron.
I’m curious how you washed this top…by hand? washer on delicate? in a garment bag with other laundry? I would hate to ruin the top by doing something wrong when washing! Thanks for any info…love your blog!
Hi Abbe, I just threw it in my front-loader on cold with a colored wash, and then I laid it flat to dry on the back of a chair in my living room. 🙂
Thank you so much!! Have a nice weekend!
I just received this tee this afternoon in my Loft order. I ordered it in both the teal and the wine color. Did you find the fabric a bit thin and see-through? It looks so good on you in these pictures! I’ve tried it with my nude bra and also with a cami and I’m not sure I like the look on me either way. Suggestions, please!! I don’t love the idea of covering this tee up with a cardigan in the summer so I may have to make a return. Maybe the washing and slight shrinkage helped pull the fibers together??
Hey Lynette, I honesty didn’t feel it was see through at all in the teal. Can’t speak to the wine. Maybe a darker bra is better under the wine? I have a red one in the same fabric (different style shirt) and I do feel it is a TAD see-through across the chest, but it doesn’t bother me. I have a navy one (LOL!!) different style top, but I think it is that same linen blend material, and I do wear a black bra under it, or it does seem to look stretched across the chest. But none of these shirts feel super thin to me. I think it’s a matter of choosing the right color bra. For example, the shorts or pants I wear under it don’t show through. For me, the only area I notice is across the chest area where the fabric pulls just a bit.
Thanks for the advice! I’m going to look for a different nude tee shirt bra (I just read yesterday’s post on bra options–very helpful!). That may be the problem.
Interesting how details on basic items take them to the next level. It’s nice to see manufacturers doing that to basic tees. Your hair looks great in these pictures- I like seeing it straight- it’s a great versatile cut.
Totally LOVING this outfit on you! You hit it out of the park and it looks just outstanding on you!! P.S. Thanks for the Instagram info on how to click on your name to get the bio info and the link!!! Much appreciated!
Oh good! Glad it was helpful.
