Things I Won’t Miss About Summer

Kids in and out. In and out. In and out. Tracking dirt and grass and puddles of water throughout my house. All. day. long.

Swimsuits. On. Off. On. Off. On. Off.  All. day. long.

Sunscreen — gooey, sticky messy stuff.

Taking all three kids to the mall.

Taking all three kids to the grocery store.

Taking all three kids to my doctor appointments.

Taking all three kids to…  well, you get the drift.

What’s on YOUR list?

  1. Carrie – yes, I love those, but they’re still sticky, and they run out so fast.

Charlotte – oh that’s in tomorrow’s post. what I will miss about summer. 🙂

  2. Cute blog! This reminds me of when I was a kid – my brothers, sister and I LIVED in the pool every summer. I guess that can be expected when you live in Arizona! =)

  3. Hahaha, I’m right there with you!

Have you ever tried the continuous spray sunscreens though? I hate the sticky gooey have to sit still for so long process of putting on sunscreen…times three girls. Target has a store brand that more affordable though too. Oh, and I always spray it while in the store to make sure it doesn’t come out in a stream like some of them do.

  4. well since its pretty much summer all year over here, not much to miss. But I cant take the HEAT/Humidity anymore! I just want to sit outside and not have a heat stroke..and I cant wait open some windows so my electric bill goes down!

  5. LOL! I had to ban the colored sunscreen from my dayhome because the palms of my hands actually started to get stained after applying to 6 kids 2 or 3 times a day.

I also won’t miss teenagers staying up way too late.

  6. i hate sunscreen period. ooey gooey, messy, smelly. yes, i even hate the spray ones because they start out perfect and end up in that annoying silly string stream.
why couldn’t we just live in ignorant bliss like our parents did? sigh.
i will also miss having all the other kids over.
oh and the yard FULL of toys that no one ever wants to put away.
    good times.

  7. This may make me sound like an old porch-sitting, broom-wielding grump… but what I won’t miss is enjoying any air conditioning and then having people whine about how it’s too cold. You know the people, those who have sweaters on when it’s 85 degrees outside.

Dude, if you’re that cold, get out there and warm up for awhile! I, for one, do not like it when a room temperature is triple digit, M’kay?
