Truer Words Were Never Spoken

I returned the boots today.  I’m bummed that neither pair worked out, but I’m happy to have the money back in the bank.  I guess I’m destined to be cold.

As we were leaving the store, this fab green handbag caught my eye.  My daughters were with me, so I told C to hold on a minute while I walked over to get a closer look at the bag.

In the exasperated voice of a 15-year-old (as opposed to the 5-year-old that she is) she said, "Come ON, Mom.  You have enough purses."

Called out by a 5-year-old.  NICE.

  1. You obviously have a lot of work ahead of you if your daughter thinks you could ever have enough purses. What have you been teaching her??

  2. There are never too many purses! How could she even think such a thing? (I once met a person who said that for every purse she bought, she got rid of one. After I recovered from my faint, I made sure she never ever got near my husband or children!)
