Two Spring Cardigan Outfits with Nordstrom

Greetings from the Sunshine State! Today I’m partnering with Nordstrom to style two dressy-casual cardigan outfits for spring.

It’s hard to believe that just a few days ago, I was shooting these spring looks in 30-degree weather back in Philly. I’m cold just looking at my pale ankles in these pictures!

I was drawn to this Faherty cardigan for the pretty details in the chunky fisherman knit and the shorter length, but I think I should have ordered the medium. I wouldn’t mind a little more of a relaxed fit

The Faherty brand is known for their 100% organic cotton knits, and the quality on this one is very nice. If you’re looking to shop more sustainable brands, you’ll definitely want to check this out, and see what else they have to offer. Their Desmond organic cotton gauze top was a top seller last spring.

I’m wearing this cardigan over a white tank (similar here), and I put them with with ecru jeans and a pair of neutral slingback pumps.

Slingbacks are trending this spring, and I am so here for it! I have narrow heels, so keeping pumps on my feet is always a challenge. This way, you can get the sleek covered toe look with the walkability of a sandal.

These Steve Madden slingback pumps also bring in the raffia trend, while keeping the look classy and sophisticated.

My ecru ankle flare jeans are from Nordstrom’s in-house brand, Wit & Wisdom, and they’re under $100. I always get requests for more affordable denim options, and I think a lot of you will like these.

They have that Ab-Solution technology that is designed to smooth and shape the middle, and who can’t use that!?!

For size reference, I tried both the 6 and the 8, and I’m wearing the 6 here, so I’d recommend sizing down, if this brand is new to you. It fits me much the same as KUT from the Kloth. I usually size down in that brand, as well.

For my second look, I styled this Caslon stripe cardigan with flare jeans and booties for the cold spring we’re having in Philly.

I like wearing light color booties this time of year, to keep it looking more seasonal, and these Marc Fisher Alva booties are an old favorite. Unfortunately, sizes are picked over.

This open cardigan with the spaced out stripes is a great little transition piece, and the price is nice too. You can wear it with jeans now and with shorts later in the season when it warms up.

I wore it over a white v-neck t-shirt, but you can also wear it with a tank top or bodysuit for a more streamlined look.

I shared these FRAME Le Easy Flare Jeans a few weeks back, and I love how they pair with the blue sweater for an understated, monochromatic look.

They’re a bit of a splurge, but they have a great fit and feel, and the medium wash and clean hems keeps them classic, so I expect to have in my closet for years. The KUT from the Kloth Natalie is a similar style for less.

As far as accessorizing goes, I kept both looks fairly simple with gold hoops and a chain link necklace. I also added two mixed metal Lagos bracelets and a taupe belt.

The Tom Ford sunglasses are definitely a splurge, but DIFF makes a similar pair for less. I linked all my accessories below.

Tom Ford sunglasses (budget option) // similar necklace // similar earrings // Lagos bracelets one & two // simliar belt // similar crossbody // Michele watch (similar for less)

As always, when you shop at Nordstrom, you get their free shipping and free returns. And don’t forget about their BOPUS (Buy Online Pick Up in Store) and contactless curbside pickup options.

  1. Welcome to Sarasota ! I moved from New York a few months ago. You picked the perfect week to come. Weather is amazing ! Enjoy your trip!

  2. I say this as a fellow fair-skinned woman: I saw the picture at the top of the post and immediately thought, “hmm, are white pantyhose trending this spring?” I am so glad read the post or I may have started to look for some white pantyhose!😅

  3. Both outfits look good on you. I wish the slingback shoes came in a lower heel. These days I don’t want more than 2.5 heel height. Glad you can get away from the cold.

    1. Sam Edelman makes a similar sling back that has a lower heal. Also comes in raffia or a mixed leather color combo. Super cute! They are also available at Nordstrom

  4. How funny you are in Sarasota this year. We winter here and I’ll keep an eye out for you.
Restaurant you should visit – Azul in downtown Sarasota.

  5. I’ve been on the hunt for the ecru colored denim but so far no luck! I love the wit and wisdom brand but unfortunately we in Canada lost Nordstrom:( the ones you’re wearing would have been perfect! I love that shade of blue!!!
Have fun in Florida ! We are going to have some mild weather this week like in the 40-50’s not exactly spring but better than temperatures in the minus which we’ve been having!

  6. I’m so happy to see you styling cardigans again! I have several staples in my wardrobe & love to see new ways to style them. Thanks for that, & have fun in Florida! We’re going to have a 50-60 degree temperature change from today to tomorrow in the Midwest – going from very warm to very cold! Wild!! Enjoy Florida’s warmer temps!

  7. Awwwww, Florida!! Even though it is actually in the mid-60’s and very sunny here in New Jersey right now!! But, you have Palm Trees!! I hope you get your balcony room soon!
