In case you’re wondering…
What Is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
First of all, this is not a summer clearance sale. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a limited-time event featuring brand-new fall arrivals at discounted prices before the season officially starts. Once the sale ends, prices go back up.
You’ll find major markdowns on brands like Rails, rag & bone, Veronica Beard, Vince, PAIGE, AllSaints, Madewell, MOTHER, UGG, and more. It’s one of the best times of year to invest in high-quality staples like denim, boots, cashmere sweaters, coats, handbags, and beauty exclusives at significant savings—typically around 30–40% off.
Whether you’re looking to refresh your fall wardrobe, replace worn basics, or splurge on a few investment pieces, the #NSale is a great opportunity to do it for less.

What are the 2026 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Dates?
The 2026 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale online preview will go live online sometime in late June, with Early Access shopping beginning July 14 both online and in stores.
As always, Nordstrom cardmembers get to shop first. Icon status members will have the first shopping window on July 14, followed by Ambassadors on July 15 and Influencers (all cardholders) on July 16. The sale opens to everyone on July 18 and runs through August 9, 2026.
I admit I’m never quite in the mood to think about boots, coats, and sweaters in the middle of July, but I’m always glad I did once fall rolls around. If you follow my What I Wore Lately posts, you’ve probably noticed that many of my most-worn fall and winter staples are pieces I picked up during the #NSale.

Key 2026 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Dates
- Late June – Catalog/Online Preview
- July 14–17, 2026 – Early Access for Icons
- July 15–17, 2026 – Early Access for Ambassadors
- July 16–17, 2026 – Early Access for Influencers (all cardholders)
- July 18–August 9, 2026 – Public Access Sale Dates
Here’s How It Works
Everyone will be able to preview the full sale online before shopping officially begins. During the preview period, you can browse all the items and save your favorites to your Wish List, which makes checkout much faster once your access window opens.
Cardholders get to shop first, so if you’re a frequent Nordstrom shopper, it may be worth considering a Nordstrom card. That said, do what makes sense for your budget and shopping habits. While some popular items sell quickly, Nordstrom often restocks best sellers throughout the sale and later into the fall season.
You’ll also earn Nordy Club points while you shop. Every 2,000 points earns a $20 Nordstrom Note that can be used later online or in stores.
I already booked my appointment at my local store for July 14, and I’ll definitely be bringing you along with me! I always try to be a helpful resource during the sale, so I like seeing things in person, trying items on, and sharing lots of photos and honest feedback. That said, I still recommend shopping online for the best selection and easiest access to new restocks.

How to Prepare for the 2026 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
#1. Sign up for The Nordy Club.
At the very least, make sure you’re signed up for The Nordy Club so you can earn rewards points while you shop. And if you’re comfortable opening another credit card and shop Nordstrom regularly, I do think the Nordstrom card is worth considering because it gives you access to Early Access shopping dates.
#2. Use a Personal Double Points Day (Nordy Club members).
One of my favorite Nordy Club perks! Use one of your personal Double Points Days during the Anniversary Sale and make your biggest purchases on that day to maximize your rewards earnings.
#3. Join my JLS Insiders Facebook Group.
In my JLS Insiders Facebook Group, I share real-time updates during the sale—restocks, top finds, sizing feedback, and things that are selling quickly. It’s also a great place to ask questions and hear from other women shopping the sale in real time.
Not on Facebook? Don’t worry—I’ll still be sharing tons of #NSale coverage here on the blog and on my Substack (delivered via email). Which brings me to #4…
#4. Sign up for my Substack/email list.
My daily Substack posts—delivered straight to your inbox—are the best way to make sure you don’t miss any of my 2026 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale coverage, including try-ons, top picks, restock alerts, beauty exclusives, denim finds, and curated shopping guides.

I’ve been covering this sale for years, so I’m very familiar with the brands, pricing, and what tends to sell out quickly. My goal is always to help you shop strategically without feeling overwhelmed and to point you toward the pieces that are genuinely worth considering.
#5. Make a shopping list and prioritize your must-haves.
Before the sale starts, take a quick inventory of your wardrobe and think about what you actually need heading into fall and winter. The NSale is a great time to replace worn basics, upgrade staples, or invest in higher-quality pieces at a discount.
I also recommend creating multiple Wish Lists on the Nordstrom site: One for your top-priority items and likely sellouts, and another for things you want to think about a little longer. That way you can check out quickly when your access window opens and circle back later for less urgent items.

Best Tips for Shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
1. Shop early—and check out quickly.
The most popular items really do sell out fast, especially during the first few days of Early Access. If there’s something you know you want, grab it immediately and check out. You can always go back and browse more thoughtfully afterward.
I also recommend placing multiple smaller orders instead of one giant cart if there are items you don’t want to risk losing.

#2. Shop online whenever possible.
In my opinion, shopping online is the easiest and most efficient way to navigate the sale. You’ll usually have access to the best inventory, and it’s much easier to compare sizes, colors, and options.
If you live near a Nordstrom store, Contactless Curbside Pickup can be a great option for getting your items quickly without dealing with crowds.
If you have a store that’s local to you, you can place and order and pick it up same day. Of course, not all stores carry the full #NSale inventory, so you may have to wait for some items to ship.
#3. Consider ordering two sizes if you’re unsure.
If you’re between sizes or unfamiliar with a brand’s fit, it can be worth ordering two sizes and returning the one that doesn’t work. The hottest items can sell out within hours, so waiting to reorder later may not be an option.
#4. Expedited shipping can sometimes be worth it.
During the first few days of the sale, Nordstrom’s inventory system can lag behind real-time demand, which occasionally leads to canceled items after checkout.
If there’s something you really want, paying for expedited shipping may help your order process faster and reduce the risk of cancellation. Obviously that cuts into the savings a bit, so I’d reserve it for high-priority purchases.
#5. Have fun with it.
At the end of the day, this is just a sale. Some things will sell out. Some things will come back in stock. There will always be more boots, more sweaters, and more denim.
I’ve found the best approach is to go in with a plan, stay flexible, and enjoy the process. Even if you don’t snag every item on your wishlist, you can still walk away with some really great finds for fall.
And remember: many #NSale items do restock later in the season as returns come in, and plenty of pieces eventually go on sale again. So if you miss something, keep an eye on it—you may still get lucky later on!
2026 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale FAQs
Here are the answers to a few common questions I get about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale each year.
Is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale worth shopping?
If you’re looking for fall staples like denim, boots, coats, cashmere, and beauty exclusives at discounted prices, yes—this really is one of the best sales of the year. But I also think it’s important to shop thoughtfully. The best deals are only “worth it” if you genuinely need the items, know you’ll wear them, and the brands and styles make sense for your lifestyle and budget. It can be easy to get caught up in the hype, so I always recommend focusing on pieces you’ll realistically reach for all season long.
What sells out fastest during the NSale?
Premium denim, boots, beauty exclusives, Barefoot Dreams blankets, and trend-forward jackets typically sell quickly during Early Access. But honestly, sometimes the most random item suddenly becomes the thing everyone wants, so it can be hard to predict exactly what will disappear first. In general, though, I recommend prioritizing the bigger-ticket items and your top wishlist pieces first, especially if you already know you want them.

Do Nordstrom Anniversary Sale items get restocked?
Yes, many items are restocked throughout the sale as orders are canceled and returns come in, so it’s definitely worth checking back regularly if something you wanted sells out. Nordstrom also often brings certain items back after the sale ends. They’ll usually return at full price first, but many get marked down again later during fall sales—sometimes even more deeply than during the #NSale. A lot of it comes down to inventory levels and what Nordstrom wants to move throughout the season.
All that to say: don’t despair if you miss something. There will always be more sales, more sweaters, more boots, and more denim. I really do think the key is keeping it all in perspective and having fun with it rather than treating it like a high-stakes competition.
Do you need a Nordstrom card to shop the Anniversary Sale?
No, anyone can shop the sale once Public Access begins on July 18, 2026. However, Nordstrom cardholders get Early Access shopping starting July 14.
What are the best things to buy during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
The best purchases are usually high-quality wardrobe staples and investment pieces like premium denim, boots, sneakers, coats, cashmere sweaters, bras, and beauty exclusives that rarely go on sale. Those are typically where you’ll see the biggest savings compared to regular retail pricing.
That said, there are plenty of lower-priced finds in the sale too, so don’t feel like you have to spend a fortune for the sale to be worthwhile. There are usually great basics, trendy pieces, beauty sets, and accessories at a wide range of price points. But generally speaking, the most significant “deals” tend to be on the more investment-level purchases that you’ll wear for years.
How can I support your blog while shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
If you shop through my links, I may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. It’s one of the main ways I’m able to continue creating free content like try-ons, reviews, shopping guides, outfit ideas, and real-time #NSale coverage each year.

A quick tip: if you click a creator’s link and then leave the site or click another creator’s link afterward, the commission will no longer track to the original person who helped you. (In other words, the last click takes all!) So if you’d like to support my work specifically, it’s most helpful to start your shopping session from one of my links and check out from there.
And you don’t have to purchase the exact item you clicked on for the commission to track. If you start your shopping session through one of my links and then purchase other items during that session, I should still receive credit for the sale.
And truly, whether you shop through my links, read my posts, comment, share, or simply follow along—thank you. I genuinely appreciate your support.
Is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale online or in-store?
Both! You can shop the sale online and in Nordstrom stores, but I personally recommend shopping online for the best selection and easiest access to restocks.
How long does the 2026 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last?
The sale opens to the public on July 18, 2026 and ends August 9, 2026.

I have an issue anytime I try on WIDE LEG pants I look like I just gained 20lbs! Am I the only 1 feeling like this?! I usually try for straight leg but I’m missing out on so many cute pairs! Any ideas?!
First of all, no, you are definitely not the only one who feels this way. 😂 Wide-leg pants can be a tricky silhouette for a lot of body types, and I think part of it is that many of us (myself included) grew up dressing with the goal of looking as slim as possible at all times. Wide-leg pants really aren’t designed with that intention — they’re more about relaxed proportions and fluid lines.
So part of it honestly is adjusting your eye a little bit to a different silhouette.
That said, not all wide-leg pants are created equal, and I’ve found I personally prefer styles that are more fitted through the hips and thighs and then gradually widen from there, rather than super voluminous styles. I also think fabric matters a lot — too stiff or too much fabric can overwhelm your frame really quickly.
And styling makes a huge difference. What works with a straight leg often doesn’t work as well with a wide leg. I think they usually look best with a more fitted top or a shorter, boxier shape, plus footwear that gives a little structure or elongation.
It definitely takes some trial and error, and it may turn out that ultra-wide styles just aren’t your favorite — and that’s okay too! A relaxed straight leg or subtle wide leg can still give you that modern feel without feeling so overwhelming.
Sandy…. I too thought this as I’m only 5’3” and then I tried Kut from the Kloth and I get their more fitted in the hip and thigh styles, like Jo-Lynne said and I love the look. I do more fitted top or just front tuck a regular top and I make sure my shoe I choose fits the wider bottom. I do like more of a elongated toe but I also wear my sneakers and many flat sandals. You’ll know when you get a shoe on if it’s right. Long gone are the days where every shoe worked when we wore skinny jeans. You can also try the Bella Staight stretch Jean by Quince. They feel wider than a regular straight and you can get in two different lengths. For my height I get the 26 length and it’s alittle cropped. Feels very current. They are only $50 and hold up great and don’t bag out for me. It’s just trying on different ones and not going too wide or the ones that are wide all the way down. Everyone’s body type is different.
Sandi, I thought the same thing and it definitely took returning many pairs to find the ones that work for me. I’m 61 and petite and my favorite two pairs are from Madewell (Emmett) and Quince (Bella stretch wide leg). I tried the quince Bella relaxed straight & didn’t like how they fit me. I agree that the wide leg styles that are fitted through the hips and thighs work best, especially for my age. I started liking boot cut more than straight and then went on to wide leg. I prefer them to be longer, though, rather than shorter. The 30” quince Bella work perfectly.
Any idea of the name of the cropped rolled light denim jean you are sporting here?
I don’t remember… sorry. That pic is a few years old.
Ops I meant Sandi with an “I”.
