What I Wore Lately Vol. 77

Greetings from sunny Florida! It is so good to be out of the cold northeast, although I hear it’s warm up there too. Let’s hope this time, the nice weather sticks around.

Before I left, I rounded up my daily outfits from the past couple of weeks, so I’m sharing that today.

SIZING NOTES: I’m 5’5″ with an hourglass shape. I usually wear a small in tops, but I’m in between a 28 and 29 in jeans, and I take a size 8 or 39 in most shoes. Gifted items are indicated by c/o; everything else I purchased myself.

What I Wore Lately

This first outfit is from the Wednesday two weeks back. I believe it was rainy, and I got fixed up to do some try-ons. Then I threw on this comfy outfit to wear for the rest of the day.

I brought this wrap with me to Florida. I usually travel with it because it’s so soft and comfy, and perfect for throwing on over pajamas or wearing with joggers down to the lobby for coffee in the mornings.

I had workout and then a facial the next day, so I didn’t do anything with my hair or makeup.

The next Friday, I made impromptu dinner plans with friends. It was a casual place and a pretty chilly day, so I wore this familiar outfit and jazzed it up with bold hoop earrings and a pair of chain link necklaces.

I worked from home for a while on Saturday, and then we went to see our daughter perform with the percussion team.

I started out wearing this lightweight hoodie and jeans, but I realized I hate how the hood feels under my coat, so I changed. I still love this for a casual at-home look or for warmer spring days when I don’t need a coat.

This is what I changed into, but this sweatshirt is sold out, so I linked up something similar.

This is what I wore to church the next day… nothing new here. I sent most of my warmer sweaters to the dry cleaner, so the few I left in my closet have been on constant rotation. I never imagined I’d be wearing my cashmere sweaters well into April.

On Monday, I had a photo shoot and then a physical. I started to wear this, but I felt like it was too cold for the blouse.

Love this outfit, though, and the earrings and bracelet really make it.

I tried the navy one, but it still seemed out of place considering our weather.

So I ended up back in this! I sure am glad I kept this sweater. I sent back the first one I got, thinking it was too low cut. Then when it went on sale, I repurchased it. I love the details, and I don’t think it’s too low cut after all.

Those clogs are coming in really handy, too. They’re a nice transition shoe, as we wait for warmer weather.

Last Tuesday, I met a friend for lunch. It was still chilly and threatening rain, but I was determined to wear something a little more transitional. I pulled out this flight jacket from last spring. It’s a little heavier than some of my other spring jackets.

This was last Thursday, I believe? I went for a mani/pedi, and again, it was cold and rainy. I went for this cozy sweatshirt (which is currently on sale) with my favorite Mother Insiders (easy to roll up for my pedicure) and my old faithful Miller sandals.

Saturday night, Paul and I grabbed an early dinner on the way to our daughter’s Indoor Drumline finals. This is what I wore to dinner, and then I changed into sneakers for the percussion event.

Those are very casual events, usually held in a high school gym, so I need to be able to climb over bleachers.

This sweater is pretty spendy, so I was excited to see it go on sale.

And then this is what I wore to church on Sunday. I’m trying to get away from the wool and cashmere sweaters! This one is from LOFT, but unfortunately it’s sold out.

And I finally got to wear my new trench! It was in the 50s and windy, but I was warm enough that I was comfortable.

I kept it casual on Monday, which was mostly spent packing and organizing, getting ready for my trip. I picked up this sweatshirt when I was on vacation last summer, so I don’t have a link for it.

And that’s all I’ve got! I did get a picture of my travel outfit, but I don’t have Photoshop on this computer, so I’ll share what I wore on vacation next week.

  1. Enjoy your time at Disney Springs!! (formerly Downtown Disney!!). You will probably need a reservation to eat anywhere there this week! 🙂 Why does it seem like all my blogger “friends” are either in Florida right now, or were just there within the last several weeks? Must be the place to be for bloggers! I have been wearing my sweaters still, trying to wear spring-y colors while trying to keep warm!!!

    1. Yes, we made reservations a few weeks ago, and still couldn’t get what I wanted. We’re eating at The Edison – is it any good? The menu looks good.

It’s definitely a good time of year to come to Florida. 🙂

  2. I’m so jealous. LOL Have a great trip. I think the Sunshine would be such a welcoming thing. We just had a big snow storm on Monday for NW Oregon. Crazy. We’ve never had snow this late. Its suppose to snow again today but looks pretty good to me. I’m ready for a sunny vacation. We need to plan something soon. Can’t wait to see what you wear on vacation and hear all about it. Will you be attending band events?

  3. Good news! The Loft sweater is available in both the pink and the blue right now. Just ordered the pink.

  4. Hey there, I’ve learned about Vuori from you and have loved my joggers the last three months. Ive basically loved in them. I’ve been disappointed to find that they have pilled on the interior terribly and don’t feel nearly the same as when I bought them. I line dry and don’t have “friction” anywhere but the top inner thigh area. Is this just me and I bought a bad batch of fabric, or have you experienced the same? I want the new orange color joggers but haven’t spent the money if they’ll just end up pulled and worn out looking. Thanks for your feedback! Enjoy Florida!

    1. I would have to look at my black ones when I get home, but I haven’t noticed that. They’re my oldest ones, the ones I brought with me are newer and probably won’t show anything yet. But I definitely have not seen that complaint from anybody so maybe it’s just a bomb batch. You could always reach out to them and see what they say. They have very good customer satisfaction ratings.

  5. I love those clogs! So cute. How do the Jean’s you featured run size wise? If I’m in between sizes, should I go up or down?

  6. The second combination is my Friday afternoon until Monday morning outfit, lol (*regardless* of: salon appointment; grocery shopping; OR 20-block power walks, ha!). I like, though, how those Mother Dazzler jeans have a “classic denim” look to them. It’s harder to find jeans for a pear shape that aren’t a torture device to pull on without spending A LOT more to get a size/style which doesn’t look like stretch athleisure (I love my casual/workout athleisure all. day. long! — BUT: I cannot stand when they make stretch jeans, for example, a poor imitation of something you want nothing less than the LOOK of the genuine article from).
