Happy Friday, friends! I’d say cheers to the weekend, but have you seen the weather forecast? It looks like winter is back.
Any-who. Today I’m sharing an outfit I would wear for Mother’s Day brunch… or church services, since that is usually a part of my Mother’s Day as it falls on a Sunday.
In fact, if it’s warm enough on Sunday, I’d love to wear this. We shall see…
Sometimes I wear a casual dress for Mother’s Day, but more often than not, I end up in white jeans, a cute top, and wedge sandals.
We usually end up visiting family that afternoon or hosting a lunch at our house, so I like to be sure I’ll be comfortable all day. I do have a ladies’ tea to attend tomorrow, though, and I think I’ll wear my new Boden dress for that.
I shared this button v-neck shell in last weekend’s try-on haul, and I liked it so much I decided to go ahead and do a dedicated post with it. Also, it’s 40% off this weekend!
I think it’s the prettiest color pink, and I love the shape and depth of the v-neckline. It’s not low enough to sacrifice modesty, but it elongates the neck and shows enough skin to be slenderizing. The flutter sleeves are really cute too.
This color pink looks so good with white. I’d also wear it with bluejeans for a more casual vibe, but for church or a Mother’s Day brunch, the white is definitely more appropriate.
And of course you could swap out the jeans for pants if you want a more polished look or an office-appropriate outfit.
These wedge sandals are extremely comfortable, and the heel isn’t as high as some. The leather is nice and soft as well. I like the gold, but they also comes in tan leather, yellow suede, and a pretty floral print.
Lord + Taylor is running a buy more, save more shoe sale this weekend — save 25% on one pair, 30% on two pairs, and 40% on three pairs of shoes. You can combine men’s and women’s styles too!
Here are some other shoes worth considering, if you want to save more at L+T this weekend.
I carried a white bag with gold hardware, and I wore this gorgeous gold and white coil bracelet.
My bag is 25% off with code MOM, but the white keeps going in and out of stock. It’s a really nice, soft leather, and the interior is a luxe microfiber. You can also find it at Amazon and Nordstrom.
And of course I would bring a denim jacket along in case it gets chilly. I love the combination of white, pink, and blue together. It’s so summery and fresh. Of course, a cardigan would work too… or in my case, my winter parka. Haha!
But seriously, I’ll probably need my trench coat on Sunday — which has been getting a lot of use this spring! If you’re in the market for a rain coat or spring trench, Lord + Taylor has almost all of theirs on sale.
Use code MOM to get the lowest possible price, and consider signing up for Shoprunner to get free 2-day shipping and free returns. If you have an AmEx or a Mastercard, you can get a free Shoprunner membership. It comes in quite handy!
LOFT flutter sleeve shell // Madewell skinnies (also at Nordstrom and Shopbop) // gold wedge sandals // denim jacket (option) // coil bracelet // hoop earrings

Have a great Mother’s Day Jo-Lynne! I’ll be at the beach all weekend. It’s definitely feeling like summer here in FL!
Thanks, you too! That sounds like the perfect way to spend Mother’s Day.
Love your accessories. that little white bag is cute.
It’s a good one!
Happy Mother’s Day!
Yep…we got snow here yesterday…it’s been crazy. But the saying is you don’t plant until after Mother’s Day. It’s snowed on Mother’s Day many a year.
Yikes! And I’m complaining that it’s in the 50s. Usually Mother’s Day is pretty nice here, but we’re getting another cold snap for some reason.
Oh what a nice top and you look so pretty in that shade of pink! I agree 💯% about the neckline. Once again, I like how your shoes and handbag are different neutral colors, but yet they look great together. I am still working on being confident when I do that. I hope that you have a fabulous day!
It helps that the bag has some gold hardware – ties into the gold shoes. 🙂
A ladies tea sounds fabulous! I love to do that with friends! Enjoy Mothers Day and have a fab weekend!
Thanks, Nancy, you too!
Love your style. That color pink is gorgeous on you. Happy mother’s day weekend.
Thanks, Mary. You too!
It’s all in the little details and you have so many cute ones in this outfit. Is your ring David Yurman? Love it!
Yes, it’s one of my favorites. 😍
Happy Mother’s Day Jo-Lynne! I love the wedges that you ordered with the snakeskin – I am interested to see how they are to wear – they look amazing! My family is taking me to a brunch and I think I will style my white jeans! I was trying to figure out what to wear, but your outfit was all the inspiration I needed! 🙂
HMD to you too! Brunch with the family sounds lovely.
Oh dear! Now I want the pink one, AND the blue one from your e-mail! I have the white jeans for once in my life…I’m supposed to be packing to move, not shopping!
Shopping therapy! 🙂 Good luck with your move. It is stressful but worth it when it’s done. We cleaned out SO much crap.
I have this blouse in cream and love it! Now I want the pink, but I try not to buy duplicates. I’m wearing my white jeans for Mother’s Day too!
I’m with you on no duplicates. This one is a similar color. I almost ordered it and then decided not to since I have the one I’m wearing in today’s post. 🙂 https://shopstyle.it/l/3afa
Pink & white are so pretty on you!

Happy Mother’s Day🌷😃… hope it warms up…
Thanks, Karen. You too!
I agree about bringing a trench coat for brunch because some states in the Eastern US are experiencing rain. I know it is going to rain Saturday and Sunday in North Carolina, which is why we are staying in this Mother’s Day weekend. I hope you have a great Mother’s Day.
Yeah, it’s looking pretty grim here too. At least we’re not alone! Ha!
Me too. I usually end up in white jeans/pants and a cute top (because it’s usually to cold for a dress, ugh). That’s a cute outfit. Love the top.
I remember a lot of nice Mother’s Days over the years, but this one is definitely a downer. Oh well, at least it was pretty here yesterday. 🙂
