Who Influences YOU?

We hear a lot of talk about influencers in the blogosphere. Brands want to work with influencers. You need to be an influencer.

I find it all a bit daunting, frankly.

I don’t see myself as an influencer; I am just a mom having fun sharing my thoughts and opinions and the latest trendy handbag I discovered.

But then every time someone emails me and tells me they went out and bought something I recommend, or thanks me for opening their eyes to a better way to eat, I realize that we are all influencers in our own circles — like it or not!

I was asked to share three people who influence me, and that really got me thinking. I realized that I have a really eclectic group of influencers. I could chose 10 or 20 women who influence and inspire me. It is REALLY hard to pick just three. So I tried to narrow it down by choosing three women who really make me think about things from a different perspective.

Colleen of Classy Mommy | Colleen is one of the first bloggers I met in real life. She is smart and business savvy. I am inspired by her energy and zest for life. Even though she’s one of the busiest bloggers I know, she always puts her kids and family first.

Stephanie of Metropolitan Mama | Stephanie never hesitates to tackle tough subjects and express her opinions, but she does so in a humble and thoughtful way that doesn’t incite controversy. She is a very intentional parent and guards her family time closely. I love hearing her perspective on things.

Cecily of Uppercase Woman | Cecily and I are like vanilla and chocolate — exact opposites, but we make a great team. We often joke that without blogging, we would have never become friends. Cecily is generous and smart and an incredible writer. She’s also as liberal as I am conservative. I love talking to her because makes me think about both sides of an issue, and even if we don’t agree, we both respect the other’s opinions.

These women are all incredible bloggers, but more than that, they are incredible people that are the kind of influencers I want to be.

I’d love to hear about the bloggers that influence YOU. Can you name just THREE?
