2 Long Sleeve Floral Dresses To Wear Right Now

With lots of events on the horizon, it’s always nice to have a few go-to dresses in your closet that you can wear for the holidays and beyond. It’s hard to find long sleeve dresses that aren’t sweater dresses, but right now Nordstrom has quite a few!

I styled two great options for fall/winter weddings, business casual work parties, bridal showers, etc. They would even work for church on Sunday with a different shoe.

Maggy London Floral Print Long Sleeve Faux Wrap Midi Dress (8) // Sam Edelman Kia Ankle Strap Sandals (8) // Kendra Scott Clove Multi-Strand Necklace // similar Kendra Scott hoops // similar gold minaudière

This Maggy London faux wrap midi dress features brushstroke blooms and a tulip skirt, and I love these vibrant colors this time of year. It’s a one-and-done way to get that tone-on-tone monochromatic look with shades of red that is so on trend right now.

The silky fabric feels really nice against the skin, and the long sleeves with two-button cuffs are such a pretty detail. I also appreciate the faux wrap styling with a zipper closure in the back, so you just slide it on and zip it up without having to futz with tying a wrap dress.

I love how the model is wearing a bright pink shoe to match the dress, but I went with a more subtle gold sandal. If it’s too cold for sandals where you live, you could definitely do a dressy pump. Or these d’Orsay pumps would work for a lower heeled version.

My second outfit is similar; I just swapped out the dresses. This one is a little further out of my comfort zone, as I don’t usually wear ruffles, but I think it works.

The color palette is really pretty for this time of year, and all winter long. It also has a faux wrap styling and long blouson sleeves, and I like how it ties off to the one side.

These Sam Edelman Kia Ankle Strap Sandals are my go-to for dressy looks. They’re comfortable to walk in, and I love the cylindrical heel. They also come in a bunch of other colors, and they run true to size.

As with the look above, I wore delicate gold jewelry and carried a gold minaudière to complete the look.

I also rounded up some more long sleeve floral dresses at Nordstrom, in case one you want some more options:

  1. My two cents: Wear ruffles more! That dress is GORGEOUS on you!
Those Maggie London wrap styles are literally my go to’s when I need a dress. Something about the wrap is generally flattering to most shapes, I think. The first dress is really pretty too, and I totally get the ruffles thing, but darn, that second one on you….😍

  2. As ruffles go, the ones in this dress are pretty understated, and you look beautiful in it. Both dresses are lovely, but I am only 5’1”, so they would be too long on me. I don’t wear dresses much in the winter, as I just freeze. I hope you will keep at least one of the dresses. The colors are great on you!

  3. Both of these dresses are definitely winners and look great on you! I was excited yesterday with the NFL blanket suggestion as my son loves football but went to order and unfortunately they don’t ship to Canada! Bummer ! But if you know of anything similar with a company that does ship to Canada I’d be interested! Thank you

  4. Thank you for giving us the information on the NFL throw. I ordered it for my grandson’s birthday. I really appreciate your gift guides for the holidays. The dresses both look beautiful on you. I always look forward to your posts. You help us to know what is trending.

  5. Love both dresses on you. I think they both work. :). I could see these in the early Spring too when the weather is still rainy and dreary and you need long sleeve and some color.

  6. Beautiful dresses! Wrap dresses are so flattering; it’s my favorite style, and those two are so lovely on you. I like the Maggie London brand – quality, good prices, and they do such pretty florals.
The first dress seems more “you” to me, and could go more places, I think. But that second one is dreamy.

  7. Hi JoLynne! I love both of these!! I’m a dress person in general and I even like a ruffle from time to time (my husband really likes them). I love the look of knee high boots with dresses in the winter! Would either or both of these pair with knee high high-heeled boots in your opinion? Thanks and blessings during the up coming holidays! Krista

  8. I loved both dresses!!! Your sandals are beautiful as well!! You look gorgeous in both!!
    Happy Thanksgiving 🦃!!
