Happy hump day! It’s Day 18 of 23 Days of Spring Fashion, and we’re talking about how to style a white monochromatic outfit for spring.

I’m kinda bummed because these jeans were on sale yesterday… in fact, so was this cardigan! But today they’re both back to full price. Boo to the hoo.
They also both seem to be low inventory, so I’m going to go ahead and share this look. Maybe you already have them or something like them in your closet. If you want one of these pieces, keep an eye on them. The sweater has a good chance of going on sale again, as Banana runs sales frequently.
As for the jeans, they’re also available at Shopbop (who should be running their big spring sale very soon) and on the Frame website, where you can get a 15% off code if you sign up for their emails.
These are the Frame Le High ankle straight jeans, and they look slightly more polished than your typical skinny jeans, due to the cut and the way they were pressed with the crease down the front of the leg. Plus, the straighter silhouette is very on-trend at the moment.
They kind of remind me of this pink pair that I styled a few years back. I just spent like 10 minutes going through my archives to find this outfit, and sure enough, the jeans have almost the exact same measurements!!! I have an odd memory. ANYWAY!
Suffice it to say, a more tailored white jean like these is a really nice option to have for dressier looks this spring/summer. They’re especially good for those of you who need work wear or business casual attire.
I wore my Dolce Vita braided slide sandals, but you could go with a closed-toe shoe if you need that for work. These sandals are definitely among my new favorites, for both for the comfort as well as the design.
The braided straps are on trend, the croc embossed block heel is a fun detail, and they’re easy to walk in despite having an open back. I was wearing them the morning of this shoot, running around at the last minute loading the car and carrying an armful of clothes on hangers down the stairs, and I was amazed at how stable I felt wearing them.
These sandals run true to size, and they’ve been restocked at the moment, but they usually sell out within hours.
On top, I wore this Banana Republic cotton-hemp cardigan over my white ATM v-neck tee for a chic, monochromatic outfit in shades of white.
I do a lot of black and grey looks, but sometimes I forget about white and taupe. Isn’t this such a soothing mix of shades for spring/summer?
And how funny is this — when I went to check inventory on the Banana Republic website this morning, I realized they have the Brazilian Sand cardigan styled over a white tee with white jeans too!
This sweater is a nice, lightweight knit for spring, but it still feels substantial. I love the contrasting buttons, and it’s a really nice classic length. For size reference, I’m wearing the small.
My ATM t-shirt is spendy, but the quality is outstanding, and I love the fit and the shape of the v-neck. I sized up to the medium in this tee.
For a more budget-friendly option, I recommend the BR slub cotton-madal v-neck tee or the Caslon rounded neck tee.
As you can see, I kept my accessories fairly minimal — silver hoops and my diamond pendant — and I carried my taupe leather hobo.
I love how the white tee with white jeans creates a column of color that is elongating and slimming, and the taupe sweater frames the look. The low contrast between the taupe and white keeps this tone-on-tone look muted, but also adds some warmth and softness near the face.
I will definitely be wearing this outfit to church or out to dinner this spring!

Love, Love this outfit on you. One of my all time favorites. I really love those shoes, but I’m shockingly incapable of walking in a heel over about 2 inches.

I love this outfit! I have white jeans, white t-shirt, and I have to look at what I have for a cardigan. I must have something that would work. I have taupe wedge sandals that would work to make this outfit. Depending on the weather in early June in North Carolina this might work for our grandson’s first birthday party!
I LOVE this look! And you look so nice in it! I would not think to wear those two neutrals together, but they sure make a beautiful outfit. I will join the chorus and say that you look fabulous in this outfit and I definitely will try it. I do need a taupe sweater, but this is a little pricey when I know BR will have another sale soon.
On another note, I had ordered the pink striped Caslon hoodie and it just arrived today, and I noticed it is now reduced in price, and I was able to get an adjustment. I think I will have to go back and get another color!

This outfit is so pretty! These light neutrals are my jam for sure, but I also love how comfortable yet pulled together it all looks. I love those shoes but know I just won’t ever reach for heels over flats these days. AND, I am loving your hair a little longer– so pretty! 🙂

I have a question, we are trying to plan a vacation this summer, where is it that you go in Maine. I remember your pictures, and it looked so beautiful there.
We vacation on Green Lake – my parents own a place there, as do all of my mom’s siblings. So it’s a family spot for us. But we often take day trips to the coast. Look into Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

Yes, I would wear this outfit! I love monochromatic looks, they are slimming and they just give that effortlessly pulled together vibe. I love white and taupe together. All black and taupe is great for fall. I recently purchased the white ankle jeans from Everlane. A bit pricey but it is so comfy. It is also such good quality that I am able to wear it to work.
