Happy Monday, friends! I hope you get to enjoy a day off today in honor of President’s Day.
This is the outfit I was hoping to wear for our Valentine’s Day dinner, but it was pouring rain and I didn’t want to risk getting my light-colored suede jacket and shoes messed up. I’m sure I’ll have more chances to wear it, though, as springtime approaches.
I love a structured jacket for making an outfit look chic and put together, and this suede moto by BLANKNYC is such a good one!
I have it in the Midnight Toker, and in a weak moment I ordered this Blondie color as well. I plan to put the taupe one away for next fall and wear this off-white color into spring. (They also have a faux leather version for under $100 if you like that option better.)
I tried a couple of different camis under this jacket. I have a pink one and a leopard one and a white lace one, but this white woven cami one seemed to work best. I know, I’m such a plain Jane.
I don’t love this particular cami, but I keep it because I can’t find anything better. It’s also no longer available so I can’t link it. I wish White House Black Market would make their reversible woven cami in a solid white.
In my perfect world, the cami would be an inch longer so it shows below the hem of the jacket, but it’s not a deal breaker.
I’m always a sucker for a great pair of pumps, and I’m loving this blush tone for spring. I linked up a bunch of options below.
I debated wearing black jeans with this outfit, but I thought they were too stark against the lighter colors of the outfit so I opted for my go-to raw hem legging ankle jeans. These jeans are from last year, but I still wear them a lot.
I like how the raw hem gives them a bit of an edge, but they don’t have any rips or tears or other distressing so I feel like they dress them up more easily.
I actually love this look with my ripped skinny jeans, but I’m not sure I’m cool enough to pull those off with the pumps. Ha! I’m probably over thinking it, but it’s those minor details that make a difference, isn’t it?
This gold clutch has come in really handy recently. I find myself carrying it almost every time I go out to dinner. It dresses up a casual jeans outfit, and it’s also nice enough to carry with a dress.
Overall this is a fairly casual date night look but I really love the combination of denim with suede moto and pumps.
And this jacket, guys… isn’t this color perfect for spring? I hope I get a lot of wear out of it. I plan to style it with a t-shirt, jeans, and mules or booties for daily wear, and I bet it would work with pants and a blouse for the office.

Thanks, girl! They’re a favorite, for sure.
I love this outfit! While it is casual it still has that dressy vibe – if that makes any sense. Especially love the jacket and pumps! I don’t typically wear that high of a heel but for a date night where I’m not going to be on my feet a lot I think so could do it. They are just so feminine and classy looking.
Glad you had a relaxing day yesterday. I hope your day today is as relaxing – well as much as it can be with a house full of kiddos.
Have a blessed week!
Thanks, Gina, you too!
You look great! I love the close up shot with your hand at the lapel of the jacket! Good luck with all of the kiddos home today! Like you, I hated napping as a child, but now, it’s great when I need the rest.
GM and Happy Monday. I’m off today and trying to decide what to do on this very muggy Texas day that they are projecting to be rainy and a high of 80 degrees…in February! It’s craziness!
You absolutely nailed this outfit. It’s simple, yet has a sophisticated and fresh spring vide from the tank all the way down to those amazing pumps. I love the jacket but once owed a suede jacket and it was more expensive to have dry cleaned than what I paid for it. So I vowed never to buy real suede again. But they are doing a great job with that faux Moto jackets so I will definitely look for one.
Enjoy your day and looking forward to your spring series with Cyndi.
Thank you! And I will keep that in mind about the jacket and dry cleaning. I’ll be careful with it! Hopefully won’t need to clean it very often, but it IS white so…
Ahh, such a classy outfit! I just love that jacket. Need to see if I have an extra 188.00 laying around right now! LOL In all seriousness, I maybe need to budget for it. Just trying to decide how often I’d wear it and price per wear. Do you think it would be considered a classic piece that won’t go out of style? I have a budget bracelet that looks identical to your beautiful David Yurman, down to every detail and I wear it all the time! I bought it a couple years ago at Macy’s for under 25.00! In fact it came in a set of two but I usually wear only one. Enjoy the day with your kids!
I think this jacket could definitely serve you well for a few years. I don’t know if the lighter color will eventually seem dated or not. Nice score on the bracelet!
This outfit is fabulous on you!
Thanks, girl!
That MOTO jacket is calling my name! Hey I was wondering if you plan to do a Maine travel guide. My family is planning a trip to Bar Harbor area and would like to get recs on best towns for inter generational families, close to water, walkable to town, etc. Your photos are lovely.
I get so many requests for that. I really need to just buckle down and do one!
I love that entire outfit. The nap thing reminded me of when I was about 5 my dad who was a farmer took a nap after lunch and made me take one with him. When I knew he was asleep I sneaked out of the room. 🙂 I was a little rebellious as a child.
Ha! Too funny.
I love this look! And would love to recreate it myself. However, I’m long waisted and also short (5’2″) so I find many moto jackets don’t fit me well. Any suggestions?
Hm, not sure, maybe compare lengths and find a shorter style or a cropped one? Also White House Black Market carries petities.
Love your outfit today! I am currently taking course 1 of AYW. As a #shortwaistedpear I need to find bootcut jeans. Would you please recommend a brand(s) of your personal favorites? I looked in the archives and searched when you have styled them but would appreciate your opinion. Thanks
These are my favorites: https://rstyle.me/n/cx9qezgthw
Such a cute outfit!!! I struggle with wearing higher heels and skinny jeans, you look great wearing the heels. I’m going to try again because I love how that look works on you. I think it’s just getting out of my “comfort zone” . Thanks for the great post.
I do hear that from time to time. Some women feel better in a chunkier shoe with skinny jeans – even a block heeled pump helps lend some balance if you have wide hips or shoulders. And of course bootcut jeans are always an option.
I just love your style and this has to be one of my favorite outfits. I can see this on me, even though I am outside your age demographics and a size 12 in jeans and large in tops! Your blog is for all ages and sizes.
I think the structure of this outfit lends itself to most body types. You can always sub straight or bootcut jeans – either would work just as well.
Love this look, well, all your looks. You have such great suggestions on where to shop for women. Do you have suggestions for guys? My husband is searching for perfect clothing for an upcoming hawaii vacation, but aside from Tommy Bahama $$$$$$, he can’t find much. He needs REALLY breathable vacation clothes. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you for all the info you share, my closet really appreciates it! 🙂
Hey Lindsay! We actually shop for Paul mostly at Nordstrom anymore. He likes their customer service and they have a wide selection. Sometimes he shops the Eddie Bauer outlet too.
Looks awesome! Great look for Spring. Love the pink color.
Saw these in my email today from Keds. I have a black calf hair pair from Sam Edelman that I absolutely love. These are similar and leopard is so versatile. I thought of you with the leopard. I thought they’d make some cute Spring looks.

Oooh I love those.
Was the computer blog problem the first picture you have on the post? It comes out of proportion, making you look short and wide. Remember when you had the opposite issue months ago…..long and skinny?
Nope, I don’t see that, but you aren’t the first person who told me this. Can you send me a screenshot of what it looks like to you? And tell me where you are reading it? Is it on mobile or desktop? Is it the picture on my blog or in my email that looks weird?
I noticed that this AM as well, from my desktop. It doesn’t bother me though b/c it’s not distorted on your Blog. Blessings.
Yes, it’s only in the email not the Blog. I use Yahoo
Love the jacket! I just got a faux leather one in a similar color from Kohl’s last week and it’s on sale for $44.99 and with 30% additional off with the code LOVE30 it’s about $32. Here’s the link, if anyone is interested. http://www.kohls.com/product/prd-2977119/product.jsp
SWEET! Thanks for the tip.
Thanks for sharing this outfit. I absolutely love it.
Great jacket! Really want to see different jean option other than skinny. Us pear shaped gals don’t look good in skinny jeans. Thx Tessa
You could totally do this exact outfit with bootcut jeans. 🙂
Tessa, what are your favorite jeans? I’m thin but definitely a pear and regardless of what skinny jeans I try, they just don’t work, either the fit or how they look. Lately I’ve been wearing LOFT curvy. I’ve got the bootcut which I like and the straight which to me fit more like a skinny jean should.
You look great in this outfit!! So classy yet stylish. I think a lot of body types can wear it. I know I’m checking into it for myself😊
Hi, wondering what size Blondie jacket you are wearing. Do you suggest a tighter fit (say just able to zip up)? Do you suggest the blush pump vs a nude for spring.
Oh, I should have shared that. I sized up to a medium in the taupe and the blondie. I can zip it if I have to, but it’s tight and I probably never will.
As for pumps… I think it is what you think you will wear most. Both are very on trend. I like having one of each. My nude pumps are leather, and I think the blush lends well to suede but that’s personal preference.
I have been eyeing that jacket but can’t pull the trigger. I’d love to see a post when you style it a half a dozen ways.
Hah! Just purchased these pumps:

for work (the stilettos are a bit too much for my workplace, particularly with that height)! We’re channeling the same aesthetic!
Those are gorg!
So classy Jolynne! Love the color of the jacket and the pumps. Do you have any idea as to why I am having to fill in my name and email every time I want to leave a reply?
That really is a beautiful jacket. You could absolutely pull off destructed jeans, but I get overthinking it…I’m the president of the “over thinking it club”, currently looking for a VP if you’re interested…LOL Those heels are tall and skinny and I’m kinda afraid I’d hurt myself😬, but they are so pretty.
Such a gorgeous look! Love every detail.
Do you still get credit when I am redirected to a Canadian website when I click the link to buy an item? I am never certain, and this makes me hesitant to make purchase’s. If I am going to buy something you featured then I want you to get the financial benefit.
Thanks, Lori. I really appreciate that. I think so, but I’m not positive. I can ask my rewardStyle rep – I am actually talking to her this afternoon! 🙂
Love, Love, Love! So awesome – I really think I might have to look into a moto for spring! 🙂
Jo-Lynne, you are so dang cute! I love that jacket! I have been keeping an eye out for a lighter colored one like this. You could easily pull off a pair of distressed skinnies with those pumps. Great date night look. – Amy

Thanks girl, I probably will try the distressed skinnies with this eventually… maybe with a lower heel.
Looooove that jacket…. and DYING at Midnight Toker. 😂😂😂
Right? These names they come up with…
My credit card bill is going to be very high this month because of this post! 🙂
Haha! 🙂
Great look!
