Color Crush: Pumpkin Spice

There’s been a nip in the air the past two mornings, and we were even able to turn off our air conditioner for a few days. It’s been LOVELY, and it has me in the mood for cozy sweaters and pumpkin spice lattes. Of course, it’s back up to 90 starting tomorrow and through next week. I can’t complain, though. I love summer. I’m trying to enjoy it while transitioning to fall fashion.

Even if the weather is still warm wear you are for a while, you can start to integrate some fall into your wardrobe with color. I’ve always been a huge fan of wearing coral in the spring and summer, but for fall, I gravitate to a more muted shade of orange or rust. I’m crushing on this color right now so I decided to put together some of my favorites! If you don’t like to wear this color next to your face, you can still integrate it into your wardrobe with your accessories.

Wearable fall fashion for real life: Even if it's still hot where you are, bring some fall into your wardrobe with pumpkin!

This sweet Lace Boho Shift is only $34 at Old Navy, plus right now it’s 40% off! And I already ordered this GAP V-Neck Cozy Sweater. It’s $49 + 40% off with code STYLE! I love how they paired it with grey jeans. It comes in tons of other colors too.

These ballet flats would be the perfect pop to a neutral outfit this fall. I’m tempted to order a pair because the reviews are fantastic. They also come in black, white, and a pretty burgundy they’re calling Whiskey. If you’re looking for comfortable quality leather ballet flats for less than $100, definitely consider these! I love how Zappo’s has the videos showing a person wearing their shoes so you can really get an idea how they look on.

I literally gasped out loud when I came across this Tory Burch Shoulder Bag with the tassel and circle hardware. It has a boho flair that would be perfect for pairing with flares and lace tops, or let’s face it, it would be stunning with skinny jeans and a t-shirt and booties… or pretty much any casual outfit. Unfortunately the price tag is out of my budget, but I had to include it because YUM!!!

This Drawstring Bucket Bag is more affordable and just as gorgeous. I have a Lodis laptop bag that I’ve had for years, and their signature sleek leather holds up beautifully. If I didn’t already have a coral bag, I’d be tempted to snag this!

I’m totally crushing on this Bourbon and Boweties Dyed Agate Bracelet. It’s affordable too, at $34, and it’s made in the USA. And I think I might have to spring for this Bourbon & Boweties Agate Tassel Pendant Necklace. I’m not familiar with this brand, but they sure have pretty things!

How about you?? Do you like to wear “pumpkin spice” in the fall? Which of these is your favorite?

  1. Love this color! My sons soccer team is Orange, so I actually get to wear it a lot. In the fall I like to pair it with Navy and Olive green. I don’t need a new purse, but the ones you have here make me want to pick one up!

  2. JoLynne,
I taught in the middleschool classroom for 15 years and left to become a virtual teacher. I am starting my 5th year, and I love it. The first few weeks can feel very overwhelming just trying to figure everything out. I will be thinking about you!

  3. I’m really loving this color! It’s still in the 90’s in Georgia, but the past two mornings it has felt a wee bit fallish. I’m ready for a wardrobe change and cooler temps!!

  4. I’m with you on that color. Around here, it’s our favorite. Starting back when my husband had a 1969 Chevy pickup. The factory color was orange! I’ve already picked up a few of those pumpkin favorites. A pair of pumpkin colored jeans. And I’ve got 2 boxes of Pumpkin Spice coffee all ready for the Keurig. I won’t break them out just yet though – while it still feels like summer. I’m looking for a pumpkin colored cardigan. I loved that cocoon wrap you were styling from Nordstrom, however, I feel with my height/build (aka junk in the trunk), it wouldn’t be a good look on me! Can’t wait for your fall fashions with Cyndi!!

  5. I love orange! Everything today is so cute. I am a BIG fan of Bourbon & Boweties. Have several bracelets & always could use more. The necklace is nice, will check a lot of this post out. LOVE IT!!❤️❤️

  6. I can’t wait for pumpkin spice latte!!! I also like wearing those colors. I agree with Penny, that in GA there was a fall aroma in the air, in the morning hours, with a slight breeze. I will say a special prayer for you regarding balancing work and your daughter starting cyber school. God bless!

  7. I ordered the Old Navy dress instantly! What a cute style and for that price… Crazy to pass it up!
Btw… I also snagged two cozy and super cute cowl neck fleece sweatshirts so I could get the free shipping on $50 😉
