Happy Friday, friends! I have a new transition outfit to share with you today! This slouchy sweater is perfect for those fall days that are still too warm for cozy sweaters, but you still want to look fall-ish.
The folks at Grace & Lace sent me their V-Neck Slouch Pullover to style, and I love it! Here’s what they have to say about it:
The elegant openwork knit is perfectly breathable when the temps are still a bit warm, and the cuffed sleeves feel just right pushed back to the elbow — just add bracelets. This sweater is a shameless flatterer: its slouchy body is loose and comfortable — a perfect fit for any build — and the generous V-neck compliments every face shape. Wear it off the shoulder for effortless allure. Pull one on over a lacy bralette or a Perfect Fit Tank for more coverage.
I went the tank top route, as you can see.
I love the relaxed fit and the loose weave. It also comes in a pretty Pearl color. There are two sizes — S/M and L/XL. I’m wearing the L/XL and I wish I’d asked for the S/M. I felt like this was supposed to fit loosely and I requested the L/XL because I was afraid of it being too small, but I think it would probably look better if it were the smaller size. Either way, it is super cute and quite versatile.
You can pair this pullover with white, black, or blue denim. I went with white because I styled an olive and black outfit recently, but it is just as cute with black as well as traditional blue jeans. I can totally see wearing this pullover with shorts too.
These are my favorite distressed white crop jeans and the huarache-inspired Vince Camuto Evel Leather Sandal (on sale for $79!) Isn’t the geometric heel too fun?
The purse I’m carrying is the Jael Suede and Leather Shoulder Bag I picked up at the #NSale last month.
These shoes are incredibly comfortable, but I haven’t worn them as much as I’d hoped this summer. Fortunately they also make a great transition shoe for fall.
I completed the look with gold accessories and my favorite Kate Spade sunnies. These Crystal Marquise Drop Earrings are only $28, and I find myself wearing them all the time. They have just enough bling to be fun but not so fancy that I feel I have to reserve them for a night out. I’m also loving my Stella & Dot Pyramid Watch with the leopard band.
SALE ALERT >> DL1961 is having a huge End Of Summer Clearance Sale. This is when I got my beloved Emma skinnies last year. The prices are fantastic, but of course sizes will go fast. I’m loving these cut-offs. If I didn’t already have a pair, I’d grab them. These rolled boyfriend shorts are a nice mid-length. The Coco Jean is a nice curvy slim straight cut for you curvy girls who want a slim fit that isn’t a skinny jean. The Amanda in Porcelain is great classic pair of white jeans — all sizes are available at the moment. Love this super light grey. Love this Emma with just a tiny bit of distressing. This is my favorite cut of DL jeans. The Florence Crop is the perfect crop jean, and I love the 9″ front rise. They have black jeans on sale — a fall essential. There is a gorgeous Sangria and a ton more.

I hope everyone has had a lovely week! It’s been a bit of a whirlwind here. Last weekend, we decided to enroll my 8th grader in a cyber charter school, so I’ve been busy with research and admissions documents. It was somewhat of a spontaneous decision, although I’ve been considering it for some time. Since school starts next week, we had to move quickly, but I think it’s all going to come together. I’m going to have to make some sacrifices, especially at first while we get up and running, but I am hopeful that it’s a good change for her.
And of course, it’s Friday, so that means linkup day! If you have a fashion blog, I’d love for you to join us. If you’re here for your weekly dose of style inspiration, you’ll find plenty of that here. Have a beautiful weekend!

Love that top!! Perfect to transition to fall!
Isn’t it!? I loved it the second I saw it on their website.
What a gorgeous outfit! I love it. Those shoes are perfection.
Good luck with your daughter.
Thanks, Julie! Yeah, I am not sure why I don’t wear these shoes more often. Funny how that happens.
This outfit is so fresh, loving all the white.

Doused In Pink
Thanks so much, Jill! xo
I’ve never tried any of this company’s sweaters—but I like that it’s lightweight enough for now, and then with layering can be good for the colder months. I love this company’s mission—it’s always nice to see companies with good intentions and helping out others!
Great outfit on you Jo-Lynne—good luck with your daughter’s school fun!

It was started as a small mom owned business and it’s grown exponentially! I love supporting business like that. You can read Melissa’s story here: http://www.graceandlace.com/about-us/
I love your bag and shoes!
Do you find that the DL jeans run true to size? I am not finding any product reviews to help me out size wise? I usually buy 30 in shorts as I like shorts to be loose but jeans typically a 29. But I have never purchased DL jeans before and with the sale there are no returns or exchanges…
Hey Kim. I find that most of their styles are TTS. I wear a 29 in the Emma and the Florence. Also the Amanda. The only ones I found were off were the boyfriend jeans. I sized down to a 28 in those. And the Cindy Bootcut were snug in 29. But the skinny jeans all seem to be TTS. I hope that helps! (I wear 29 or 30 in Paige and I have 29 in Hudson and AG.)
Wow great prices is right!
I read in your email that the Splendid waffle knit thermal is on sale. I believe you have more than 1 color. Which color do you find yourself reaching for most often?
Our high school is remodeling the science wing and labs. They wanted an extra long summer to do this so my kids have been out of school since the middle of May and won’t go back until Sept. 6. It’s been a long summer and I’m ready to get back to a routine.
Have a nice weekend.
Hey Carolyn. I have the swan and the black. I have worn the swan more this summer, but I expect I’ll wear the black more this fall. If I had to choose one… I guess I would go with swan only b/c it hard to find cute summer weight cardigans. I like the lighter color better for spring and summer. Hope that helps!
Thanks for your help. I ordered the swan and can’t wait to get it.
I’m in love with the ease and comfort of this outfit! The color is of the sweater is perfect for fall. Thanks for sharing and hosting the link up party as well.
My daughter started online school when she was in ninth grade and will be a Senior this year. She has done very well with it and has found her teachers to be very supportive and always available to answer any questions she may have. Since you have been a teacher, that is just icing on the cake. I hope that you both have an enjoyable year!
BTW, love the sweater in today’s post. I have one like it in a cream color and you have inspired me to pull it out and wear it similar to how you have styled yours but with olive jeans. Thanks for your inspiration!
That’s so great to hear! Thanks for the encouragement.
I just purchased the Florence jean and a Joy flare. I’ve never worn this brand, but I can never go wrong listening to you! I was just telling a friend that since following your blog your suggestions have really upped my style game! I can’t wait for the jeans to come in! I hope they are TTS, I ordered my normal size in other brands! Fingers crossed! Love you!
YAY! I hope you LOVE them!
I love sweaters like this for summer to fall transition, super light weight and I LOVE the olive color 😉
Thank you for hosting,

Really Cute Outfit sweetie! I like you give everyone options. It has not been very long I started following you and other fashion blogs and enjoying. Thanks, BGreen
Great outfit!! I love everything about it; edgy but classic!! Purse, yes!!
Thanks, Tricia! 🙂
Love the shoes! I bought them a while back but had to return them because they were too tight! When I sized up, it was too loose. Bummer.
That’s a bummer! I remember that I returned a pair and had to size up.
Your sweater is a great transition item to have. I love how you styled it! And your shoes are cute!
Thanks, Lanae!
Stunning transitional outfit! Love the colours, and those sandals are fabulous!
