Comfortable dress sandals are a summer wardrobe essential, but so many have super high heels or they’re strappy and are hard to walk in. Not so with these B.P. Luminate Open Toe Dress Sandals from Nordstrom. These are comfortable and affordable and oh-so-cute.
This style of shoe is very popular right now, and I love it because it’s ladylike and flattering, but not difficult to walk in. I have it in a variety of heel styles and heights, but this is my favorite pair because of it’s combination of affordability, comfort, and style. They are only $59, they come in about 10 colors, and they’re available in medium and wide widths.
I like how the ankle strap holds them securely to my foot, and the 3-inch heel is high enough to be attractive but not so high that makes them hard to walk in.
If leather matters to you, I also have the Sam Edelman Patti. It is equally comfortable, but it is $99 as opposed to $59, and the strap across the toes is a bit thinner.
I styled these sandals with a navy and white polka dot faux wrap dress and an orange tassel clutch. You know how much I love navy and white for spring, and the orange clutch is the perfect color to make this outfit pop!
I rarely do wrap dresses, so I was thrilled when I tried this on and discovered how flattering it is. Even the tie works for me, and I usually steer clear of that style. It’s also incredibly well made for the price. I appreciate that it’s fully-lined, and it has a nice weight to it.
The extended shoulders and mock collar are conservative and add sophistication to this classic style, while the polka dots keep it playful. Because it’s a faux wrap, the top stays together without needing to pin it so it’s very modest. I’ll definitely be wearing this outfit to church when the weather gets warmer. It could also work for the office or an evening event.
To take this dress from day to night, add a white blazer or cardigan for the office, and maybe even switch out the sandals for pumps and the clutch for a shoulder bag. White pumps are on trend right now and would be amazing with this dress, or you could go with beige pumps for a more conservative look. Then when you’re going out for the evening, ditch the jacket, change into the sandals and grab your clutch!
These sandals are the perfect companion to all of your summer dresses, and they’re equally cute with jeans and a blouse. If you have a pair of versatile dress sandals on your summer shopping list, I recommend these without reservation.

I love the polka dots. In fact I wore the same color polka dot outfit on Saturday’s post, mine were just in a maxi skirt. Your right about the dress being flattering. It looks great on you.
First of all I love those white sandals! It is so hard to find stylish sandals with a heel that you can actually walk in and wear for more than five minutes. Can’t wait to check these out.
That dress looks great ! And I just signed up for the Nordstrom rewards — I have been wanting to do it, but didn’t really want to commit to a credit card — thanks for sharing the good news, lol. Let the shopping begin…..
That dress is amazing! I love wrap dresses. 🙂
LOVE that outfit!! It would be perfect for some events I have this summer. Not to mention, I have a Nordstrom note burning a hole in my pocket!! If you don’t mind, what size are you wearing?
It’s an 8 regular. I’m 5’5″. 🙂
Those are beautiful! I love the dress too. The whole outfit is perfect for spring!
Beautiful and flattering outfit! I love it!
I love everything about this outfit … Home run !!
You look beautiful! Great dress on you 🙂
This outfit looks so good on you. I love the blue and white with a pop of orange. One of my favorite color combos. Great look.
Perfect combination of classic and fun and you look amazing!! Navy, white and orange look so great together and just scream spring and summer. Another great outfit!!
Okay, Jo-Lynne…I’m thinking you’re going to have to start wearing dresses way more! They are just so stunning on you!
I know what you mean about the tie on the wrap dresses…in fact, on my last one, I actually cut it off and I wear a normal belt!
Love the orange purse with it—this is one of my fave outfits lately!
This dress looks great on you! I especially love the pop of color with the purse. Our kids only have three more days of school. Enjoy the quiet and clean house while you can!
You nailed this outfit! I’m putting those shoes on my list of things to check out when my spending freeze is over. I’ve been wanting to try that style and the price is right in my range!!
A classic look that never goes out of style! You look great in this dress, and your shoes and clutch look great with it!
Jo-Lynne, What a great outfit! If I was in need of another dress, I would definitely consider this one. My ankles are so bad and weak that I am pretty well confined to flats or maybe a 1/2″ heel height. Oh well! Schools in our county get out this Wednesday, but teachers have to report all week. Our 16 year old granddaughter has early release due to finals, so she’s stoked. She’ll be spending two weeks at UGA participating in her 2nd year with Joffrey School of Ballet next month, and another week with another ballet school at their local program. Carley is thrilled she was accepted into both programs.
Have a blessed day!
You look beautiful. Love everything about this look. You mentioned warm…..I took parents to the beach earlier today. We started out in shorts being very comfortable. Driving home we got hot even with the air on in the car.
that dress is stunning love the print.
Beautiful classic outfit! You have great legs!
You look so lovely in this dress! And the heels are perfect. I’ve been looking at them as well as the Sam Edelman version and can’t make up my mind which to get.
And thank you SO MUCH for the news about Nordstrom rewards!! Like someone else mentioned, I haven’t wanted to add another credit card so I’m thrilled to get the opportunity to get rewards without it. I buy a lot from Nordstrom thanks in large part to blogs like yours!
You always look so beautiful!! I love your earrings! May I ask where they are from? Thank you!
You look absolutely beautiful in this dress! The color and fit are perfect on you. And the shoes are great too.
Perfect dress to show off that adorable figure.
