Today’s outfit is one I wore our first night on our vacation to Maryland last week. It was rainy and unseasonably chilly that day, and I’d been wanting a chance to wear this coral cardigan from Stitch Fix, so it worked out perfectly.
If you’re not familiar with Stitch Fix, it’s a subscription box service that assigns you a personal stylist. You receive a box of clothes and shoes as often as you want. You have 3-5 days to try things on and return what you don’t want. It’s a lot of fun, and I’ve found some great new pieces of clothing from them over the years.
My last Stitch Fix box contained 3 tops, the cardigan I’m wearing in this post, and a pair of silver Franco Sarto sandals.
My 10-year-old daughter swooped up the sandals. Yes, she wears my shoe size!!! I know, it’s insane. I was happy for her to have them because I already have silver sandals, and she needed something to wear with her summer dresses and shorts.
The three tops were too boxy for me, but this cardigan was a hit. The coral color is perfect for summer, and the material is super soft and lightweight and drapes beautifully. It’s the perfect light layer for cool summer days or venues that are highly air-conditioned. I was glad to have it on inside the restaurant that night.
I wore it with my favorite skinny jeans and nude wedge sandals. You guys, this is a great opportunity to score a pair of DL1961 Emma Legging Jeans. They go on sale from time to time, but rarely for less than $100. Right now, this pair is marked down to $99, plus 20% off (or 25% off if you purchase them with a Bloomingdales card!) Plus, if you’re Loyalist, shipping is free. (It is free to be a Loyalist — no card required, so I highly recommend signing up for that.)
All that to say, you can get these jeans for as low as $74, shipped.
(They’re $79 without a Bloomingdales card.) I just ordered myself a backup pair because I wear these sooooo often and all year round. They are perfect for tucking into boots in the colder months, and they cuff easily for a cropped look in the summer. Plus, extra bonus, they’re the perfect length for me and don’t require hemming.
Also marked down to $99 plus 20% or 25% off are my favorite white jeans — the DL1961 Florence skinnies in Milk. As far as I am concerned, this is the perfect white skinny jean. You can see me wearing them in this post.
See more premium denim deeply reduced at Bloomingdales HERE. I know I’m usually singing the praises of Nordstrom, and it is definitely my favorite all-around department store, but I seem to get the best deals on denim at Bloomingdales. Of course, if Nordstrom has the exact same style and wash, they will price match.
I added a silver pendant necklace with a turquoise stone for a small pop of color. It’s from Stella & Dot and it sold out soon after I ordered it so I don’t have a link, but the Sanibel Reversible Pendant would have a similar effect. (By the way, if you have Dot Dollars in your account, now is the time to redeem them!!!)
And pardon my crazy hair. It was so windy that day!
My Serif T Saddlebag seems to be completely sold out in all colors. I did a quick Google search, and you can still get it in black at Saks for $315, but the ivory seems to be gone everywhere.
My Tory Burch sandals are sold out in the nude color, but there are so many great neutral wedges out right now. THIS PAIR by Charles D is nice, so are THESE by Nine West. And a lot of people love THESE by BP.
Speaking of Tory Burch, they are having a summer sale right now too: extra 30% off sale styles with code EXTRA30! Those Lexington Wedges in black reduce to $159 with the discount code.
coral cardigan (Stitch Fix) // DL1961 Emma Legging Jeans (MAJOR SALE – $79!!!) // Tory Burch Lexington Sandals (only available in black, but I recommend THESE or THESE) // Fitbit Bracelet for the Fitbit Flex (on sale for $82!) // similar pendant // Serif T Saddlebag (sold out) // Nails: CND Studio White
And as if the major sale announcements aren’t enough excitement for one post (ha!) Cyndi and I have teamed up with Stitch Fix to bring you $200 Stitch Fix Gift Card giveaway!

Hi Jo-lynn! Those jeans looks great and I’ve been wanting to try them. You mentioned the length was great for you. How tall are you? How does the sizing run?
Thanks for hosting! Love your look.
I’m 5’5″ but long legged. The sizing runs TTS. Mine are 29 and that is the size I have in all DL1961 and most other jeans. Hope that helps!
The jeans: 27″ inseam” 10″ leg opening, 8.25″ rise, based on a size 27
Thank you! I’m a little taller, so I might see if they have a long length. Thank you! 🙂
I believe they’re supposed to be ankle length. 🙂
I always take a cardi or jacket everywhere we go!! This one is so pretty!
I love that you paired a turquoise necklace with it!
This is such an ageless, realistic outfit! Thanks!

I really love the drape of that cardigan as well as color. I may have to send a request to my Stitch Fix stylist. 🙂
Quick question on the sizing of the leggings— I am a size 4 in Loft pants/shorts. What size would be best in the DL1961? I seem to be right in between sizes on the measurement chart. Thanks! ????
It’s a tough call. I’m a 6 or 8 in LOFT pants and I wear a 29 in DL so I think you’re probably a 27 but I can’t be sure. If you’re a Loyalist, returns are free. I usually order both sizes and return the ones that don’t fit. 🙂
Perfect! That’s the size I estimated, too. I am a loyalist but gah, I just hate to have to return! Thank you for the response!!
Wow, what a great deal on the Emmas! I really like mine, but I honestly don’t wear them that much. I got them a too little big I think. It is tempting to try them in a smaller size though!
I’m glad you kept the cardigan! It sounded like you were going to send it back from your snap. I loved it and thought it looked great on you!
I really like the coral & turquoise together, a combo I would not have thought of. If I needed more clothes, I would give Stitch Fix a try. The cardigan is so pretty! I’m glad your 10 year old got something from your box. Have a great weekend Jo-Lynne!
I. LOVE. THIS. OUTFIT!
I absolutely love this look! I have a similar sweater so I will have to case it sometime.
I very first found your blog because a friend told me about your love for DL1961 jeans and that she adored them. Funny…I posted about Stitch Fix this week too. Happy Friday!!

Thanks, again, for the giveaway! I’ve been wanting to try StitchFix for quite a while now!! This would be the perfect opportunity to give it a whirl!
Thanks for the giveaway! You two are so generous. I just received my first Stitch Fix box last week. I wanted to get a client experience before I started as a stylist. It was so fun. I kept an adorable cold shoulder dress I hope to style on the blog soon. 😉
I gave you a shout out with a link to your blog on Gamine & Stripes today. I’m sure my readers will be thrilled to see your giveaway. Ha!

Just found your blog in the last week or so and really enjoy it. I have also checked out past entries, but I have to say, this is my favorite outfit so far! It is classic yet stylish. And I like your hair! Natural and comfortable – clearly that’s my style ????
Thank you!!! 🙂
I adore that cardigan! I LOVE them anyway but that style and coral are my faves! Especially being pregnant they are so easy to change up since I don’t want to invest in tons of different maternity clothes and I can use them after also.
Those jeans are amazing on you! I can see why you love them so much! And the coral is a beautiful color for you as well. Very pretty outfit!

This color is great on you! I have a couple of coral cardigans I need to play around with. I love them with white denim, but your look has given me some more styling ideas. 🙂
I love your blog! Should I size up on the milk DL jeans?
I don’t recommend it. They are called Legging Jeans, but I wear the same size as I do in their other skinny jeans and in most other premium brands. 29=8 and 28=6 and so forth… Hope that helps!
Hi Jo-Lynne, Love this look on you! I am trying to order the jeans while they are on sale, but I’m not seeing the 20% off the $99 price. Am I missing a promo code? Thank you for your help!
That happened to me too. You have to log in to Bloomingdales site. Then it shows up when you go to check out. If that doesn’t work, give them a call, but I think that should work for you.
I ordered the jean’s, I’m so excited!! Thank you for keeping us posted on the best sales! Love your blog!
The coral color on you is so pretty and refreshing. Great paired with your denim! Thank you for hosting! Come on over and link up on The Shoe and Tell Fashion Link Up, NOT just for shoes, on Style Nudge!!

That coral color really looks great on you. I wish those wedges came in grey. So cute!
I live in Canada so I can’t get Stitch Fix 🙁 But my sister in the States has received a couple of boxes and those DL1961 jeans were in her last box. She LOVES them!!
That cardigan is the perfect pop of color! What a great giveaway, stitch fix is so popular right now

Very pretty color, and great summer look.
Just started a linkup #UntamedStyle, come take a look at CidStyleFile.
Would love it if you linkup and join!
Hi Jolynne
thanks for the heads up on the jeans. I’m really keen to order (and they ship overseas!!) but wanted to ask about sizing – I saw your responses above. I’m between a US 8&10 but still have a post baby wobbly mid section. Would you suggest a 30? Or more?
thank you!!
Probably a 30 but I wouldn’t go bigger. They’re supposed to fit snug and you don’t want them loose and sliding down. I’m an 8 and the 29 are perfect. Hope that helps! 🙂
I finally received the jeans, I ordered a 30. Delighted with them.
Your sizing advice was spot on. Thank you again.
YAY! SO glad!
Thank you for the dl 1961 sales alert. I just ordered another pair
It’s a great buy!
Love the coral cardi. Can you tell me the brand so I can try to locate it online. I am a stitch fix subscriber but I can’t subscribe to it at the moment!????
Lovely outfit again, since I have yet to tried stitch fix, I am very tempted to try that service! Thank you for hosting the link up, hope you can stop by my first Linkup this Wednesday!
