Holiday Gift Guide for Teens {Girls & Boys}

I’m rolling out the much-requested Holiday Gift Guide for Teens! This year we combined the girls and boys guide into one massive teen gift guide.

Amy and I have three boys and three girls between us, and four of the six are teenagers, so this gift guide is right up our alley. I hope this list is helpful, and as always, if you have any great ideas to add, please share!

one // two // three // four // five // six // seven // eight // nine // ten // eleven // twelve // thirteen // fourteen // fifteen // sixteen // seventeen // eighteen // nineteen // twenty // twenty-one // twenty-two // twenty-three // twenty-four // twenty-five // twenty-six // twenty-seven // twenty-eight // twenty-nine // thirty

I’m rolling out my holiday gift guides three times a week — on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Be sure you’re subscribed to my daily email newsletters so you don’t miss anything!

2021 Holiday Gift Ideas for Teen Girls

#1. Fujifilm Instax Mini Link Smartphone Printer // You know how much teen girls love their photos, give them the gift of printing them out on the spot with this handy printer. (My younger daughter loves hers.) Then see #7 for a fun way to use them.

#2. UGG Fleece Lined Socks // What teen wouldn’t love a pair of cozy cable knit socks with pompoms? Plus, these are lined with UGG’s plush fleece lining.

#3. Faux Succulents Plant Set // Teens are loving these right now, and moms love how they bring some color to her room without any of the mess or upkeep that comes with real plants.

#4. JBL Clip 3 Waterproof Speaker // This ultra portable speaker will have her singing in the shower and beyond. It’s waterproof, small, and has great sound.

#5. AE Ripped Mom Jean // I don’t get it, but the girls love these. They’re Becca’s favorite jeans. There are a bunch of different washes to choose from, and today they’re 20% off!

#6. Dr. Martens 1460 Combat Boot // These are back, and they’re just as fabulous as they always were. Becca got a pair last year for Christmas, and she loves them so much, she ended up getting a the white pair last fall. I predict these have a high sell out risk. Last year we had a hard time finding her size, so grab a pair now if they’re on your teen’s wish list. (Or yours.)

#7. Lighted Hanging Photo Strips // Displaying pictures in her room has never been easier with these lighted photo strips. My daughter has these in her room and they are an adorable way to display her life.

#8. Kate Spade Initial Necklace // Amy and her daughter both have this necklace, and Becca has one too! They all love it. It’s simple and understated and looks great layered.

#9. Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment Set // These look great, give a bit of color, and contain SPF to help protect that pout. They’re paraben, phthalate, and sulfate-free; plus they come in the cutest little box for gift giving.

#10. UGG Chenille Crew Socks // These are a great everyday sock for the winter and work great with boots.

#11. Faux Fur Saucer Chair // This is the perfect chair for her bedroom, a great spot for her to read (or text… let’s be real!) It comes in tons of color options to match any decor.

#12. Shearling Lined Birkenstock Arizona Slides // All teens love Birks, and these will keep her feet warm in the winter. Win, win!

#13. Plastic Makeup Organizer // Does your teen girl have more makeup than she knows what to do with, like mine does? Give her the gift of organization with this acrylic storage cube.

#14. AE Cozy Cabin Flannel Hoodie // The hood gives the flannel they always wear a fun twist. This comes in 3 color choices, and it’s 20% off right now.

#15. Apple Watch SE // This is the splurge gift they all want. They can use it to track their workouts, keep up with all the texting they do, and make sure they can’t use the excuse, “I didn’t have my phone!” when you call them.

2021 Holiday Gift Ideas for Teen Boys

#16. Tailgate Beanie // Guys love showing their support for their team, and this cozy hat will certainly be a hit.

#17. Nike Sweatpants // My son lives in sweatpants, and you can never go wrong with Nike. These are made of a warm, sweat-wicking fabric that’s perfect for cold weather, and they come in 4 great neutral colors and a wide range of sizes (XS to 4XL Tall.)

#18. Bed Shelfie // This little bed-side shelf gets great reviews, and it’s actually a great gift for both boys and girls. It comes in both round and square shapes, and there’s a larger size, as well. One option even has a built-in cup holder. It’s great for teen bedrooms and college dorms — especially those with loft beds.

#19. Portable Mini Fridge // You’ll be the coolest mom ever if you give him his own personal mini fridge. I’m actually thinking of giving this to David for Christmas… but if I do, he may never come downstairs again. Some days the only time I see him is when he comes down to the kitchen to grab a Coke, lol!

#20. AE Thermal Lined Hoodie // This thermal lined sweatshirt hoodie is so soft and will keep him warm — perfect for those kids who refuse to wear coats. Best of all, it’s currently 20% off! I just ordered one for David.

#21. AE Duofold Thermal // A super soft thermal casual shirt that looks good layered or on its own. These are also 20% off, and they’re selling fast so don’t wait to grab one. And while you’re at it, throw in a flannel that he can layer on top. I just ordered one of each for David, plus a pair of these pants since he has to wear khakis to work. This sale is too good to pass up!

#22. Dr. Martens Combs Tech Boot // Teen guys love Dr. Martens too. These are cool, well made, and will hold up to his wear and tear.

#23. Spike Ball // This is Amy’s son’s favorite game for all the tailgating and fraternity parties he attends, and I gave David one for Christmas last year. He and his friends have enjoyed it in our backyard many times this summer.

#24. NFL 22 (also at Amazon) // This continues to be the gaming favorite for all teen boys and beyond… makes a good gift for young adults as well, if they’re into sports and video games.

#25. Portable Charger // Please tell me that my son isn’t the only one that just forgets to charge his phone constantly?? This will be a game changer for him.

#26. Nike Sock Set // Have you checked your son’s socks lately? Trust me, he needs new ones.

#27. Leather Dopp Kit // Give him something to contain all his self-care stuff. This is a great gift for the dads too. I don’t know about your husband’s, but mine’s could use a refresh.

#28. AE Raglan Thermal // Another soft shirt option that he’ll definitely want to wear on repeat. Comes in 3 color choices, and it’s currently 20% off.

#29. Soccer Golf Game // Amy says this is definitely going under her tree this year. They can create their own course, and the balls won’t damage a thing.

#30. Magnetic Dartboard Set // You can’t go wrong with a good dart set, and this one uses magnetic darts so it won’t damage your walls and woodwork.

And that’s it for the teens this year!

  1. I bought my son’s family the Spike Ball last Xmas and they loved it–especially fun at the beach. It’s a workout believe me!

  2. Where we live, the Florida panhandle, the lip balm choice among high school girls is by Glossier, especially the flavor birthday cake:) Another popular item is Nike Air Jordan Mid sneakers. I won’t even get started on how impossible getting those sneakers are:( Let’s just say it’s like buying a concert ticket. Lol
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I had forgotten I was thinking of getting Spikeball game sets for the young guys on my list and so you reminded me of the idea. I just ordered 3 sets. I had planned to go with my husband today to look for gifts for them and this saved me sooo much time and effort. I have a question… you know of a good make-up brush set that has good hair on the brushes? I’d like to get those for the young ladies on my list. Do you think Nordstrom would be place to look or maybe Ulta? Thanks.

  4. Thank you for the gift guides! There’s usually something on every list that helps me plan my shopping. I appreciate the work you and Amy put into these suggestions.
