Hey guys! Checking in from Dallas on Day 2 of rewardStyle the Conference — that is what they call it. It sounds fancier than “the rewardStyle Conference” I guess. Ha!
I’m having so much fun. I can’t believe I debated not coming. The brands here are all relevant to my business, unlike the mom blogger conferences I usually attend. I actually felt like it was worthwhile to walk around the Networking Hall visiting the Brand Suites, and the brands seemed more interested in talking to us and making connections.
I received some lovely gifts, and I posted a sneak peek on Instagram this morning. I’ll be sharing more about them in the upcoming weeks.
Rodial Illuminating Powder (LOVE this stuff already!) // GiGi Stella Foldover Clutch
Moon & Lola Necklace (love the addition of the charms!) // Kendra Scott Lawson Cuff
M.Gemi gift card (I ordered the Brezza lace up flats I’ve been drooling over for so long!)
Also, if you use my referral code, you get $40 off your M.Gemi order. These shoes are gorgeous and worth every penny. They also offer free shipping and free returns, so you can’t lose by trying them. I usually wear an 8.5 in a flat shoe, and I tried on these yesterday in the brand suite so I’d know what size to order, and I’m ordering the 39. They also felt like slippers on my feet. I’ve tried several pairs of lace-up flats and returned them all because they weren’t comfortable, so I have high hopes for these.
Okay, so back to the conference . . . I am incredibly impressed with the rewardStyle leadership. The President of the company, Amber Venz Box, is a brilliant and classy woman, and I was surprised to learn that they have offices all over the world. (Bloggers came here from all over the world as well.)
It’s definitely a young crowd, but the over 40 contingent is definitely infiltrating. Haha! I’ve been hanging out with Kristie, Alison, and Cyndi most of the time, and I also enjoyed chatting with Deborah from Fabulous After 40. I hope we get to visit more tonight.
I have to get downstairs for today’s sessions, so I’m just going to share the rest of the Instagram recap with little commentary.
This is what I wore last night to the garden party.
Yesterday afternoon I enjoyed a mojito by the pool after a day of conference sessions and brand meetings. It was just what I needed before another event. I love parties, but they do take the energy out of me.
This picture is out of order. It’s from the cocktail party the first night. I’m so glad Cyndi is here!
After the cocktail party, we went out to dinner at a nearby Mexican restaurant, and I took this picture from their rooftop bar. So fun! The weather has been perfect since we got here.
This is what I wore to the party that night. I tried on everything in my suitcase, and I ended up wearing what I’d planned to wear from the get-go. Isn’t that always the way!?!
I really wanted to wear something a little more fun, so I brought along a strapless dress and off-the-shoulder top that I’ve never worn, but when I tried them on, I just didn’t feel quite right, so I resorted to my faithful silk top and white jeans. Sometimes I think I play it too safe, but then I think there’s something to be said for being comfortable.
This is the outfit I wore on the plane. Yes, that’s the bathroom cuz I’m classy like that.
This is actually the outfit I’m planning to wear today. I was trying it on in my room when I was deciding what to pack.
And this is the dress I plan to wear tonight!
I probably won’t post tomorrow, as I will need to get packed up and out of here early to get to the airport on time, but you can follow the rest of my Dallas adventure on Instagram and Snapchat – I’m jolynneshane on both.
Enjoy your Saturday!
