This time of year, I’m always looking for pieces that work right now but can also carry me into warmer weather, or still make sense if winter lingers, as it tends to do in Pennsylvania.
I recently ordered a mix of everyday denim, sweaters, casual tops, and a few accessories from EVEREVE, Quince, and Nordstrom and tried everything on at home with items already in my closet. Below is a full breakdown of what I loved, what I sent back, and a few pieces I’m still debating.

SIZING NOTES: I’m 5’5″ and typically wear a small or medium in tops and dresses, a 29–30 in jeans and pants, and a size 8.5 shoe. I often fall between sizes, so fit notes matter. Gifted items are marked c/o; everything else was purchased by me.
EVEREVE Try-Ons: Everyday Denim & Casual Tops
I placed a pretty big EVEREVE order recently. There are so many good late-winter styles right now, and instead of making a mall run, I had everything delivered. The nice thing about that is being able to try pieces on with items I already have in my closet. Let’s start with denim…
Citizens of Humanity Miro Relaxed Jean in Benson
at Citizens & EVEREVE (29) also in petite // J.Crew cardigan (S) // Dolce Vita sneakers (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: The Miro offers a refined take on the barrel silhouette, sitting high at the waist with a relaxed shape that softly tapers to the ankle. Crafted from comfort-stretch regenerative cotton denim in the Benson wash—a medium indigo—it combines structure with ease for all-day wearability. Effortless and versatile, it’s a timeless style with a modern point of view.
- 11 1/2″ Rise; 27 1/2″ Inseam; 17 1/2″ Leg Opening
- 81% Regenerative Cotton, 14% Lyocell, 3% Elastomultiester, 2% Elastane Denim
- Machine wash cold, tumble dry low.
MY THOUGHTS: I think I finally found a pair of barrel jeans I like. I’ve been drawn to this style on other women, but I had pretty much ruled it out for myself because I prefer jeans that are more fitted through the hips and thighs—and barrel-leg styles are usually the opposite of that. Something about this pair just works. They have a higher rise and are flattering from the back, the barrel shape isn’t overly exaggerated, and they taper enough at the ankle to balance the volume through the middle.

I also really like this medium indigo wash. They’re soft but still structured—not super stretchy like my favorite MOTHER and PAIGE styles, but with enough give to be comfortable. I traveled in these to Florida and was very comfortable the whole time.
VERDICT: Keeping! I’ve actually been wearing them a lot on this trip.

KUT from the Kloth Maya Wide Leg Jean in Masterpiece
at EVEREVE (8) // Z Supply Modern Slub Tee (M) // Sam Edelman Bianka (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Designed with released, clean hems, the Maya Wide Leg Jean by KUT From The Kloth is perfect for day-to-night wear, featuring a dark blue wash, full-length inseam, and soft stretch denim.
- 10 1/4″ Front Rise, 31″ Inseam; 24″ Leg Opening
- 93% Cotton, 6% Polyester, 1% Spandex Denim
- Machine wash cold, tumble dry low
MY THOUGHTS: These dark wash trouser jeans are a nice way to elevate your wardrobe, and they’re not a bad “dupe” for the Frank & Eileen NYC Trouser Jeans that I have and love. I tend to wear my F&E pair more in the summertime, but this style really works year-round. They’re a smidge too long for flats, so I paired them with these slingback pumps—and I actually really like that combination.

VERDICT: They feel too similar to my F&E pair to justify keeping them, but they’re a nice lower-priced option if you’re looking for this style.

Splendid Kylie V Neck Tee in Navy/White
at EVEREVE (S) // KUT Maya (8) // Sam Edelman Bianka (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: This versatile V-neck tee by Splendid is the perfect everyday essential, featuring a relaxed, slightly cropped silhouette in soft cotton-blend fabric.
- Length from shoulder to hem: 21 1/2″
- 65% Cotton, 35% Modal Knit
- Machine wash, wash cold, delicate / gentle cycle
MY THOUGHTS: This is a really nice-quality, soft tee that feels thin but still substantial. I love the v-neckline and the navy and white stripes. It looks great on its own but will layer easily, too. It’s pretty boxy, so I prefer it with a front tuck—and it has a nice drape, so it front-tucks well.

VERDICT: I decided to keep this one. I tried both the small and medium and ended up keeping the small—but you could size up for a more relaxed fit.

bobi Ribbed Button Up Top in Black
c/o EVEREVE (M) // KUT Avery (8) // Dolce Vita Rianne Slingback (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Simple yet chic, this easy top by Bobi features a v-neckline, front button closures, and a fitted silhouette.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 21″
- 47.5% Cotton, 47.5% Modal, 5% Spandex Knit
- Machine wash cold, tumble dry low
MY THOUGHTS: I love this top. It’s made from a weighty ribbed fabric that’s fitted without being super clingy. The scoop neckline is flattering, and the rouleau button closures (I had to Google what they’re called, lol!) are a really nice detail. It’s hard to see in the pictures, but they have those little loop button closures.

It’s a nice, slightly shorter length that’s easy to throw on with jeans or pants, then dress up with jewelry.
VERDICT: Keeping this one. In fact, I brought it with me to Florida.

Amelia Side Lace Up Sweatshirt
at EVEREVE (S) // KUT Avery (8) // Gola Viper (7.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Crafted from a soft cotton blend, the Amelia Sweatshirt by EVEREVE features a crew neckline, side lace-up details, and a cropped silhouette with a raw hem for a lived-in feel.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 23″
- 85% Cotton, 15% Polyester Rib: 95% Cotton, 5% Spandex
- Machine wash cold, tumble dry low
MY THOUGHTS: I love an elevated sweatshirt, and this one is really fun in theory. The lace-up side detail and raw hem are nice touches, and it’s an interesting color, but it runs really small and short. That shoulder-to-hem measurement can’t be right. It also has the dreaded drop shoulder.

VERDICT: I sent this one back.

KUT from the Kloth Avery Straight Jean in Building
at EVEREVE & Nordstrom (8) // Splendid Alexis Cardigan (M) // Birkenstock Boston Rivets (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Casual with a vintage vibe, these stretchy straight-leg jeans feature ankle-length legs, raw hems and Fab Ab front pockets that comfortably smooth and shape.
- 10 1/2″ front rise; 28″ inseam; 17″ leg opening
- 93% cotton, 5% polyester, 2% spandex
- Machine wash, tumble dry
MY THOUGHTS: These jeans immediately caught my eye when I saw them at EVEREVE, and I thought they might be a nice, updated pair of straight ankle jeans, but they almost read as a kick flare. They’re flattering through the hips and legs, and the rear view checks out, but something about the length and leg opening feels off to me. They look like they should be full length, but the 28″ inseam is clearly intended to be an ankle-length fit.
I also tried them with the Dolce Vita Notice Faux Shearling Sneakers, thinking the clunky clogs might be the issue… although that is how the EVEREVE model is wearing them. I don’t like them any better with these, either. I wonder if I’d like the raw hem style better.

I do really like this wash, though. They look more expensive than $100 jeans and are very comfortable, too.
VERDICT: I don’t know… what do you all think?

KUT from the Kloth Kelsey Jean in Rigor
at EVEREVE (8) // Splendid Aydin (S) // VEJA Esplar (39)

PRODUCT DETAILS: A gently flared leg creates the easy-to-love silhouette of these bootcut jeans by KUT From The Kloth. The Kelsey jean is crafted in soft stretch denim and features a versatile blue wash and ankle-length raw hems.
- 10 1/4″ front rise; 27 3/4″ inseam; 18″ leg opening
- 89% Cotton, 10% Polyester, 1% Spandex Denim
- Machine wash cold, tumble dry low
MY THOUGHTS: I pulled out these KUT from the Kloth Kelsey jeans to compare, since I own them but haven’t worn them much. They are designed to be a kick flare, and if you look closely at the measurements, the leg opening is only one inch wider than the KUT Avery, with the other dimensions being almost identical. These do have a raw hem, though, and the fabric is a bit thinner.

I thought I liked them when I first got them and decided to keep them, but I haven’t reached for them much. Re-evaluating them here, the leg opening feels a bit awkward. It’s almost like the fabric is too thin and drapey, so it doesn’t lay nicely. I had this style in the rust denim in the fall and loved them, but that fabric had a smidge more structure and hung much better.
VERDICT: I own these, but I’m not sure they’ll stay in my closet for long. I do want to try them with sandals this summer and see how I feel about them then.

KUT from the Kloth Avery Straight Jean in Optic White
at EVEREVE (8) // bobi button-up (8) // Dolce Vita Rianne Slingback (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: These KUT From The Kloth jeans are perfect for everyday wear, featuring a relaxed straight leg, bright white wash, and 28″ inseam.
- 10 1/2″ front rise; 28″ inseam; 17″ leg opening
- 56% Cotton, 33% Rayon, 9% Polyester, 2% Spandex Denim
- Machine wash cold, tumble dry low, do not bleach
MY THOUGHTS: These are the same jeans in white, and while I like the fabric (it’s nice and stretchy and thick enough not to be see-through), they have the same fit as the blue denim pair. If anything, these read even more like a kick flare. This time I tried them with Mary Janes, and I do like them better with a more delicate shoe.
VERDICT: I’m debating this pair. White jeans are hard to find, and I haven’t tried mine from last year yet to see how I feel about them this season—or if they even still fit. These might be worth keeping to wear with sandals and flats. I just don’t like this length/leg style with clunkier shoes.

AGOLDE Lana Straight Leg Jean
at EVEREVE (30) // Splendid Aydin (S) // VEJA Esplar (39)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Designed with a relaxed, vintage-inspired fit, the Lana Straight Leg Jean by AGOLDE is crafted from soft, rigid cotton denim and features a high-rise waist, button fly closure, and medium blue wash with a light vertical crease detail.
- 11 1/2″ front rise; 30″ inseam; 16″ leg opening
- 100% Regenerative Cotton Denim
- Machine wash cold, tumble dry low, wash inside out
MY THOUGHTS: These are more of a full-length straight in a rigid 100% cotton, similar to the AGOLDE ’90s jeans but just a bit longer, so I was curious to try them. Unfortunately, I don’t care for these at all. They do that weird, bulky thing in the crotch area that often happens with more relaxed straight-leg jeans, especially in more rigid denim.

VERDICT: These went straight back.

Splendid Alexis Cardigan in Ink
at EVEREVE (M) // KUT Avery in Building (8) // Birkenstock Boston Rivets (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Knit from a soft, textured cotton blend, the Alexis cardigan sweater by Splendid features a relaxed silhouette, front button closures, and dropped shoulders.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 25″
- 60% Cotton, 40% Acrylic Knit
- Dry clean only
MY THOUGHTS: This cardigan was a bit of a disappointment. I love the color and the way the neckline is designed, and it feels like a nice-quality knit. That said, it’s dry clean only, which I find odd given that it’s cotton/acrylic—and it’s just way too short. I have no idea where they got that length measurement from. I’m wearing a medium, and the hem barely touches the top of my jeans.

VERDICT: This one went back, too.

Splendid Aydin Sweater in Navy/Sea Breeze
c/o EVEREVE (M) // KUT Avery in Building (8) // Birkenstock Boston (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Contrasting stripes define the Aydin Sweater by Splendid, featuring a split neckline with a pointed collar, ribbed knit detailing, and a soft cotton fabric.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 24 1/2″
- 100% Cotton Knit
- Dry clean only
MY THOUGHTS: This sweater is super cute. I love the mixed stripe pattern and the flattering v-neckline. The collar lays flat and doesn’t annoy me (lol), which is hard to come by with a collar! Even the drop shoulder doesn’t bother me. Because of the way the stripes run in different directions, it doesn’t add visual bulk the way drop shoulders often do. I do wish it was a smidge longer. I probably could have gone with the medium, but I ordered the small, and I do think it fits.
VERDICT: Keeping!

Jessie Cardigan in Blue Multi Stripe
at EVEREVE (M) // Citizens Miro (29) // Birkenstock Boston (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Soft and chic, the Jessie cardigan sweater by EVEREVE is the perfect wardrobe essential, featuring a relaxed, cropped silhouette with front button closures, ribbed trim, and a round collar with a rolled edge.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 19 3/4″
- 67% Acrylic, 30% Nylon, 3% Spandex Knit
- Care: Hand Wash Cold, Dry Flat
MY THOUGHTS: I love this one. It’s super soft, and I think the colors are really pretty. It’s definitely on the shorter side, so I sized up to a medium for a little extra length, and I like the slouchy fit.
VERDICT: Keeping!

Twofer Henley
at EVEREVE (M) // Citizens Miro (29) // Birkenstock Boston (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Finished in heathered jersey fabric with a half button placket, the Soren long sleeve twofer tee features an attached crewneck collar and cuffs for an easy, no-fuss layered look.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 22 1/2″
- 79% Polyester, 14% Linen, 7% Spandex Jersey Knit
- Machine Wash Cold, Delicate / Gentle Cycle, Tumble Dry Low
MY THOUGHTS: This is a fun top. I love the concept—it looks like you’re wearing a tee underneath, but it’s actually a sewn-in lining. The fabric is very soft, stretchy, and comfortable, and it’s fairly fitted.
I think it would look best fully tucked, but I don’t love that look on me, so I tried a front tuck off to one side, but I don’t love how that looks either. I don’t love it left out, either, so…

VERDICT: I’m not quite sure about this one.

Heritage Sweatshirt in Heather Grey
at EVEREVE (M) // Madewell Jules (30) // adidas Spezial (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: The Heritage Sweatshirt by EVEREVE is a wardrobe staple that will take you anywhere. Crafted from a soft knit fabric, this pullover features a crew neckline, raglan sleeves, and a slightly cropped silhouette.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 21 1/2″
- Heather Grey: 50% Polyester, 38% Cotton, 12% Rayon Knit (Other Colors: 100% Cotton Knit)
- Care: Hand Wash Cold, Dry Flat, Do Not Bleach
MY THOUGHTS: I adore this perfectly chic, understated sweatshirt from EVEREVE. I’ve been noticing old-school heather grey raglan-sleeve crewnecks popping up everywhere lately, and I’m here for it. They’re just so easy and simple and cozy. Throw it on with leggings, jeans, or shorts and you’re good to go.
The first one that caught my eye was MOTHER’s The Biggie was the first one I noticed and then The Great’s The College Sweatshirt started showing up all over my Instagram feed. I loved the look, but didn’t want to pay that much for a plain grey sweatshirt. When EVEREVE released their Heritage Sweatshirt at about a third of the price, it went straight into my closet. It’s super cozy and soft on the inside, too.
Side note: It comes in other colors, but they’re 100% cotton, whereas this grey one is a poly/cotton/rayon blend.
VERDICT: Keeping! Wearing it right now, as a matter of fact.

cloth and stone Button Down Stripe Shirt
at EVEREVE (S) // Madewell Jules (30) // adidas Spezial (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: A polished pick for any occasion, this striped button-down shirt by Cloth & Stone is crafted from lightweight fabric with long sleeves and a relaxed fit that can be dressed up or down.
- Length from Shoulder to Hem: 25 3/4″
- 83% Tencel, 17% Cotton Woven
- Machine Wash Cold, Do Not Dry Clean, Tumble Dry Low, Do Not Bleach
MY THOUGHTS: This is a really nice take on a traditional button-up shirt. The fabric is lovely, super soft with a nice drape, and I really like the stripe pattern. The collar is soft, too, and not annoying at all.
The length is nice. It’s not super long, so you could leave it untucked, although I think it looks better styled a bit more intentionally. I show it both ways below, with the sleeves cuffed and a half-tuck. I also want to try styling it unbuttoned over a white tank, like it’s shown on the model.

VERDICT: Keeping, for sure. I think this will add some nice variety to my wardrobe.

Quince Try-Ons: Simple, Everyday Staples
Quince is becoming one of my go-to spots for elevated everyday basics. I recently ordered a few sweaters, a pair of jeans, and a handbag—simple pieces that are easy to wear and mix into an existing wardrobe.
Mongolian Cashmere Crewneck Sweater in Heather Shaded Rose Pink
c/o Quince (M) // Bella Stretch Wide Leg Jeans in Faded Black (30/30) // Dolce Vita Baylee (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: An icon for every season, now made for layering into fall. Our signature crew is spun from upgraded, pill-resistant cashmere that’s smooth, durable, and sustainably sourced. Soft enough to wear solo, warm enough to slip under jackets, and timeless enough to keep on rotation all season long.
- Crafted from 100% Grade-A Mongolian cashmere
- Hand wash cold. Lay flat to dry. Iron at low temperature if needed
MY THOUGHTS: This is their iconic $50 cashmere sweater, which comes in tons of colors. Sadly, this pretty heather rose shade sold out shortly after I ordered it.
It’s a classic fit with a classic length and easy to layer—perfect for throwing over your shoulders or just wearing alone for a simple, easy look.
Size note: I like to size up in this style because I find it runs small, and I prefer a little slouch in my sweaters.
VERDICT: Keeping! I think I will enjoy having this color in my closet if winter lingers in Pennsylania, as it often does.

Luxe Baby Cashmere Crewneck Sweater in Creamy Cortado
c/o Quince (M) // MOTHER Lil Kick It (30P) // Aquatalia Roza Sock Boots (9)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Crafted with our most exquisite heirloom-quality cashmere, the Luxe Baby Cashmere Crewneck Sweater offers an unparalleled luxury experience. Our baby cashmere yarn features a 14.5-14.9 micron fiber thickness that is even finer than our Grade A cashmere, making it even softer and more premium.
- Crafted from 100% Mongolian baby cashmere.
- Hand wash cold. Lay flat to dry. Iron at low temperature. Do not bleach.
MY THOUGHTS: I really like the style of this sweater, and it’s a thick, luxurious knit. The quality of the cashmere is really nice—definitely a step up from their famous $50 cashmere crewneck. It’s a very warm camel, which has sold out, but it does come in a few other colors.
I sized up to a medium because I find Quince sweaters tend to run small, but I might be able to do a small. It’s hard to say without trying. It’s fairly roomy through the back, but I wouldn’t want it any shorter in the sleeves.
VERDICT: The camel color isn’t my best, but I might try one of the other colors.

Mongolian Cashmere Oversized Crewneck in Charcoal
c/o Quince (S) // Citizens Miro (29) // Dolce Vita Notice (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: It’s our classic crewneck sweater, supersized. With an extra-slouchy boyfriend fit, our cozy Mongolian Cashmere Oversized Crewneck Sweater is the quietly luxurious layer you’ve been looking for.
- Crafted from 100% Grade-A Mongolian cashmere
- Hand wash cold. Lay flat to dry. Iron at low temperature if needed
MY THOUGHTS: I already have this in the Heather Brown and wear it so much that I decided to get another color. I love this charcoal shade—it’s not as harsh as black, but darker than your typical gray, and it pairs perfectly with medium-wash denim.
Here’s how it looks with a half-tuck off to the side.

VERDICT: Keeping! I wore this one to Florida, and I’ve got it on standby in case it gets cold before we head home. It’s also a nice option to throw over your shoulders, if you like that look.

Bella Stretch Wide Leg Jeans in Faded Black
c/o Quince (S) // Quince cashmere crew (M) // Dolce Vita Baylee (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: A ‘70s-inspired style with an added stretch that fits just right. The curve-hugging high-rise cut and relaxed wide leg make this a versatile pair for dressing up or down. Crafted from premium super-stretch denim with organic cotton, it has the flexible fit and impossibly soft feel you’ll always reach for.
- Made from 65% organic cotton, 18% recycled polyester, 10% viscose, 5% lycra, 2% polyester
- Machine wash cold with like colors. Tumble dry low inside out. Color may transfer. Medium iron if needed. Do not bleach.
MY THOUGHTS: These are pretty impressive for $50 jeans! I ordered the 30″ length so I can wear them with flats, but they also come in 32″ and 34″ inseams (and 28″ for the petite ladies among us!).
They have a nice fit and feel, and I like how they fit close through the hips and upper thighs. The leg opening isn’t terribly wide, but they definitely read as a wide-leg style.

I also like this faded black wash. I’m a big fan of “washed black” over a more traditional inky black. It gives outfits a bit of edge and keeps them feeling laid-back and casual, even when paired with dressier pieces.
VERDICT: Keeping! It will be nice to have a faded black wide-leg style to wear with flats.

A Few Random Finds from Nordstrom
Finally, a few pieces from Nordstrom that caught my eye and felt worth trying.
Caslon Stripe Lightweight Mix Stitch Sweater
at Nordstrom (S) // KUT Maya (8) // Dolce Vita Rianne Slingback (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: A mix of stitches brings cool tactile depth and dimension to this sweater knit with crisp nautical strpes from supersoft pima-cotton-blend yarns in a fit that layers easily or stars just as well on its own.
- 55% pima cotton, 45% modal
- Machine wash, dry flat
MY THOUGHTS: This is a really nice-quality knit, and I love the navy-and-white stripe pattern—especially the way the stripes meet at the shoulders. It has an easy fit, but it’s a bit longer than I prefer.
VERDICT: I’ll probably send this one back. It just feels a little long on me overall. I guess I could try the XS. I don’t usually even consider that option since I’m definitely not an XS, but every once in a while, it’s what works best.

Veronica Beard Bancroft Pointed Toe Flat
at Nordstrom (8.5)

PRODUCT DETAILS: A V-cut topline and pointy toe add sharp angles and dimension to a streamlined leather flat that will complement your desk-to-dinner wardrobe.
- Material: Leather upper, lining and sole
MY THOUGHTS: I can’t remember if I’ve shared these already or not, so I figured I’d throw them in here. I really love them. They’re definitely a splurge, and they do gape just a bit around the edge (I have very flat feet, and this is often an issue for me—even with good-quality flats). The color is perfect for transitioning to spring, and I love the narrow topline and seam detail.
VERDICT: Keeping. I actually brought these with me to Florida to wear to dinner with jeans, since I didn’t get a pedicure and didn’t want to wear sandals, lol!

PAIGE Anessa High Waist Ankle Wide Leg Jeans in Vintage Mauve Mist
at Nordstrom (8.5) // LOFT Versa V-Neck Cardigan (M)

PRODUCT DETAILS: Set-in pockets bring a fresh look to slightly stretchy jeans that fit slim through the waist and thighs and relax into ankle-grazing wide legs.
- 27″ inseam; 22″ leg opening; 11 1/2″ front rise
- 99% cotton, 2% elastane
- Machine wash, tumble dry
MY THOUGHTS: I wanted to love these; I think the color is so pretty, but the placement of the front pockets just doesn’t work for me. It causes the pants to crease straight across at the hip, and it doesn’t look very flattering.

VERDICT: I sent these back.

rag & bone The Slub Vee Tee in Bright White
at EVEREVE & Nordstrom (M) // Citizens Miro (29) // Birkenstock Boston (8)

PRODUCT DETAILS: A loose-fitting V-neck T-shirt cut from slubbed cotton is sure to be a throw-on-and-go everyday favorite.
Measurements:
- 25″ length (size Medium)
- Deep V-neck
- Short sleeves
- 100% cotton
- Machine wash, tumble dry
MY THOUGHTS: This is a really nice-quality slub cotton tee, and I love the deep V with the trim detail. It’s on the longer side—more of a traditional length than the cropped tees you see everywhere right now, but it front-tucks nicely.

It’s a nice mid-weight, too. I’m wearing it over a black bra here, which I wouldn’t normally do, but it shows that it’s not super thin or see-through.
VERDICT: This is a good one. Definitely a bit of a splurge, but I think it’ll be nice to have, especially heading into spring. Keeping!

Hi Jolynne
Did you end up getting the small or medium in the rose Mongolian Cashmere Crewneck Sweater ?
The medium. Sorry, I just updated the sizing note beside the link. 🙂
perfect! thanks 🙂
Your heading for the quince jeans is not correct. Which style did you have?
Oooops! Fixed. They are the Bella Stretch Wide Leg Jeans in Faded Black.
What size did you try?
Thanks. What size?
30/30
Great try-on. Thank you. Did you ever order and try on the sweatpants jeans from Gap Factory? I’m so curious how they compare to the ones from Rag and Bone.
They came in just before I left for Florida, and I didn’t get to try them. I will when I get home later this week!
I ordered the splendid Aydin sweater in the small, and it is not 24 1/2”. It is cropped and I measured it at 19 1/2” long shoulder to hem. Although it is very cute, it is too short for my comfort, so it went back.
I’m glad y’all are having decent weather in Tampa. You tried on some great things. I do wish that so many of the brands weren’t making so many cropped tops. However, they are helping me keep my $$ in my wallet.
I like all the jeans but the barrel ones. There’s just something frumpy about them unless you’re a tall model. On them I think they look silly. Maybe it’s because they remind me of Mom jeans. I’m thinking of ordering the Quince cashmere sweater.
I had high hopes for my Quince order that came last week but I had to rerun .. the magnolian cashmere crew sweater was a little thin and itchy but I do have sensitive skin.. the Bella straight leg Jean ran small in my opinion and was more wide leg than straight. I also tried the Bella wide leg patch pocket crop but the pocket placement was a no go as well.
I’d like to try more of there jeans .. the shipping and returns are free and very convenient! As I’m in Canada.
Do you know of a Jean from them that’s a straight or crop with a slight stretch ? I prefer softer jeans not too ridged. I have some of those from American Eagle.
Thanks hope you enjoy Florida! We just booked our family trip there for April!
I love your try-on posts! As a tall lady, could I request if you find a top/sweater/jacket that has significant length in the sleeves, would you please point it out? I’m always straining my eyes to determine if something you have on looks like it might have sleeves long enough for me – lol! Also, I’d love for you to do a post with shoes from The Walking Company. My feel have gotten tricky & I need more supportive styles. Thank you for considering it!
I love the striped shirt from Evereve & have been looking for something like that. I’m torn about ordering a small or medium though. These days, I wear an 8 but sometimes size down if the shirt has some give and/or runs a bit big. With it having the tencel fabric, I’m curious on your thoughts? Is it easy to move your shoulders and arms in the small? Thanks & enjoy your time in Florida!
It has some give, but as I moved around in it, it does gape slightly at times.
Thanks for responding—that helps a lot! I think I’ll order the M.
You have some really cute pieces here! However, there were a couple that you kept and I couldn’t help but giggle “I’ve followed her for over ten years and she’s not going to wear that!”! Maybe you’ll surprise me! 😊 Have fun in Florida!
Definitely thought that about the striped button up! 😊
Whats your opinion of the white Z Supply cotton slub tshirt in the first pic? I am always on the look out for white tees and struggle to find the perfect one. That one looks pretty good in the picture.
Oh, yes, I ran out of time and decided to save that for next week. It’s good but runs really small. I would need a large.
I noticed the white Kut From The Kloth jeans contain 33% rayon. I don’t believe that’s typical in jeans/denim. They website says machine wash cold tumble dry low. Do you have any personal experience with rayon in jeans? I’m wondering about shrinkage and wrinkling.
Thanks for reviewing the Avery in white. I was going to order, but think I’ll skip. I have the raw hem Kelsey and wear them at least twice a week. I’m a little taller so they hit higher. I wear with sneakers and also think the will be good with sandals in summer. It’s been pretty warm in California so the lightweight denim comes in handy.
I bought the Kut Maya jeans a couple weeks ago and love them! I love the dark wash and wide hem at the legs. I haven’t worn yet, there’s really been no where to go and nothing to do in this cold snowy weather so just waiting for when I can wear them. What a bummer regarding the mauve Paige jeans, they looked promising.
I also bought the blue Avery jeans and they looked great on the model but didn’t execute well on me. There was just something about it that didn’t thrill me, the cut was just off.
Hi Jolynne,
Would you mind sharing the rise (in inches) of the Quince Bella you purchased? Everyone talks about their high rise, but how high is it? Quince does not indicate the rise on their site for some reason.
Love the grey sweatshirt but do you have a rec for a less spendy version? The price and the washing instructions have me afraid to really wear it like a sweatshirt!
Hope Florida was just what you needed! Thank you for all you do to keep us looking our best!
Gap has this one for under $50 – https://go.shopmy.us/p-40357128
Thank you! I ordered it!
Anything undecided or on the fence send back. There are enough good choices out there.
Thank you for all your hard work in styling these jeans and tops! I definitely like the Citizens the best! Kut from the Kloth is my favorite brand, especially in warmer climates (AZ), more lightweight. I have been looking at those KUT from the Kloth Avery Straight Jeans. Would they look better with summer sandals?
I haven’t tried them. But I think so.
