Loving Lately: April Favorites in Fashion, Beauty & Home

Hi, friends! I’ve got a new batch of favorite finds to share with you today. Some are brand new to me, and some are old favorites I’ve circled back to, like my go-to spring nail color. It’s a mix of fashion, beauty, travel essentials, and even the book I read while we were in Florida.

A few of these were road-tested on our trip (like the travel pants I ended up wearing on repeat and an old favorite pair of jeans I rediscovered in a fresh new wash. Others are things I’ve been reaching for again now that spring is in full swing, like the self tanner I shared a few days ago. (It’s still on sale!) I’m also including a fun pair of statement earrings, an elegant pair of leather slides, and a few tried-and-true beauty staples that have earned their spot in my routine.

This bra-friendly tank is made from a soft cotton/modal blend, and I love the contrast trim and slightly cropped length. It hits at just the right spot and fits close to the body without being too clingy. I wore it constantly in Florida because it pairs so easily with everything from shorts and jeans to joggers and cargo pants.

My go-to neutral nail color for spring and summer! It’s a soft, milky white with a sheer finish that feels fresh and clean without looking chalky, and it goes with everything.

My new go-to travel pants! These are lightweight, breathable, and incredibly comfortable, with handy cargo pockets (perfect for keeping my room key at the ready) and a super flattering fit. They run true to size, or size down if in between.

These are my favorite spring/summer sandals so far this season. They’re sleek and elegant, with just the right amount of edge thanks to the subtle stud detail. The leather feels high quality, and they instantly make any outfit look more polished.

Supersize Self Tanning Butter

This rich, hydrating self-tanning butter is both a gradual tanner and a moisturizer—and it’s currently on sale at QVC for just $33.98 (a $70 value!). It’s super beginner-friendly, too. I haven’t had any issues with streaks or patchiness, even around tricky spots like ankles and feet.

This is the book I read in Florida. I didn’t really settle in and start reading until we got to Amelia Island, but once I did, I finished it in two days by the pool. It had a bit of a slow start, but it turned out to be really good—hard to read at times, like most of Kristin Hannah’s books, but definitely worth it.

  1. I know that you are going to fully enjoy having both girls home for this Holy Weekend. I am going to buy the Athleta pants once I select the color that will work best for me.

    A couple of questions about the brooklyn cargo pants… are you wearing the regular length or petite length ?

    Also, do you find the rise high? ( Im short waisted and sometimes the rise is uncomfortably high lol)

    1. Hey Louise, it is high, but not super high… I find it very comfortable, but every woman’s body is different, so I can’t guarantee it will fit you the way it fits me. I have the regular length. I’m 5’5″ (but again, that isn’t always an accurate gauge, lol!) I have a long torso, and a high waist, so they may be longer on me than a normal 5’5″ person. I hope that helps somewhat. They do offer free returns, if you want to try multiple sizes/lengths.

      1. As for the Brooklyn Pants, I actually have both the regular and petite length. I have decided to keep both, I wear them with different shoes. I am 5’6” and find the waistband on the regular length is also higher than petite. In the regular, the hem puddles a little on my sneakers, and in the petite it is more of an ankle pant.
