This week has been a whirlwind! From New York Fashion Week to a PSMM Workshop to a mom blogger event yesterday in Philly, I have hardly had time to catch my breath. And today I’m catching a train to Nashville for a blogging conference.
On Thursday, I didn’t have time to grab a photo of my outfit before I left the house at 5:30 AM to catch a train to NYC, but I wore the infamous bat sweater with my red jeans and black tank and black boots. I showed the outfit in my Mom Style post last week.
I wore this outfit working from home on Friday — cropped khaki cords with a white tank and a lightweight navy sweatshirt from the Gap. The weather was mild so I ditched my boots in favor of these sage green Privos. I like how they are casual enough to wear with a sweatshirt, but a step up from sneakers. I added my Grace Tags necklace to fill in the neckline.
On Saturday, I wore the red jeans again, but this time I broke out my Buffy ankle boots. I was inspired by all the ankle boots I saw at the Fashion Show on Thursday so I thought I’d try these with my red jeans. Since the red jeans are slightly cropped (they are actually “ankle length”) I just rolled the cuff up once so they didn’t buckle against the top of the shoes. Whaddya think!?
I snapped this picture during the conference when Brandi tweeted me, asking me where I got my boots!
The necklace is Stella & Dot, and the gray cardi and black tank are old stand-bys.
On Sunday I think I FINALLY figured out a way to wear this oatmeal-colored sweater that has been my fashion nemesis since Day One. I paired it with my long-sleeve black tee and my Joe’s Jeans – Visionaire Skinny in Raisin Deep Purple. I dug out this long necklace from the depths of my jewelry armoire. I’m tired of that silver linked one!! And I wore my faithful Dansko Brinkley boots.
How did I do????
I didn’t wear anything photo worthy on Monday. My kids were out of school for President’s Day and I didn’t bother to make much of myself.
Yesterday, I trekked into Philadelphia for a blogger luncheon sponsored by the Philadelphia Flower Show (more on that tomorrow!!) I wore my orange Free People sweater with skinny jeans and cognac-colored boots.
I say it’s time for me to get a new pose, whaddya you say??

I think you hit the mark with your oatmeal sweater and I love the last outfit too!

As for your pose… if it’s not broken, why fix it 😉
That’s the answer on that gray sweater!!! The boots and the necklace made a huge difference.
Nice Jo Lynn. I love everything about fashion. I hope to be able to attend one day. : )
I am impressed…..no black pants……I swear I wear them 3-4 times a week! Love all your different colored jeans
Outfits 3 & 4 look fabulous! Also love the navy in first photo.
I love all of these but the ‘red’ jeans are my favorite.
Can’t wait to hear about the flower show. That was my favorite look of the week.
